Me too @meggyme! I’m pretty much excited about all the upcoming holidays! Currently trying to get DS to decide on a Halloween costume so I have time to find it should he pick something random!
@meggyme I LOVE that! Please share a photo when you have a chance! lol
I agree...bring on the cooler weather please!

We’ve had cooler weather just the last three days due to some much needed rain. I’m expecting a tad more warm days but I’ve busted out a few fall outfits and so happy for it. They are much more belly bump friendly.
A quesadilla sounds like an amazing costume. I love unique handmade ones. I still cannot decide what DD will be this year. We may do flinstones with the neighbors because their son is the same age and they could be pebbles and bam bam and we would all be the respective adults.
I’m mostly excited for the holidays. My grandpa hasn’t been doing well and he is DDs only living great grandparent so I have made commitments to go see him for Thanksgiving. It’s an 8 hour drive and he smokes like a train. Plus DH works retail and has to be home for Black Friday so we will have to go without him. It’s not ideal but I feel like it’s important. My parents and sister are planning on going as well and it’s been a long time since I’ve done thanksgiving with them so that’s a plus.
Anyone else looking forward to the eating though?!? I love that 2nd tri is over the holidays because I can enjoy stuffing my face!
@JLaVO888 I’m gonna be in your neck of the woods come Thanksgiving, just when you’re out of town We were going to host my family but when I found out I was pregnant I asked my parents if we could all go to their place instead lol (they have a much bigger house and my siblings live closer to them anyway).
Like many of you, I’m excited for the holidays as well, but I differ in that I’m not looking forward to the cooler and shorter days. Even though it doesn’t get that cold here (or maybe it’s bc of this) many of the older California houses I’ve lived in are so poorly insulated that it often feels colder in the house than outside and the heater never seems to be enough to warm up the house. I know, I know, typical Californian complaining about the “cold”.
ETA: My first comment sounds kinda stalker creepy. I just mean I’ll be in the same state
@navete I'm a displaced Californian, so I feel your pain. I was talking to my friend's mom when we were in CT about how I hope it won't still be "freezing" in March and April and she said "Oh honey, it's hardly freezing in March." What I meant is it's too cold to have a baby out in. DD is a CA summer baby so she hung out in diapers and short sleeve onesies most of the time. No hat, no socks, rarely a blanket. I don't even know where to begin with a Virginia spring baby, between having to deal with dressing for cold AND not being able to predict if it will be cold or not. My mom got me a baby bunting for her and I don't even know if that will be necessary or way over the top.

I’m southern, so we’re still getting highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s... I’m super ready for some days in the 60’s and 70’s! That said, as much as I love fall, I’m not a fan of winter! I run cold and my feet basically become ice cubes for the duration of the season. But I adore Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas! @JLaVO888 I am SO looking forward to all the eating!! (Although my weight gain this pregnancy has me thinking I’m going to need to be more mindful )
@lelkcot Same here! I wish it would cool down a little!

@JLaVO888 After living there 8 years, it is definitely a place I hold dear to my heart and on the rare occasion I meet someone else with a connection there I get so excited
@lelkcot she started with asking about infertility insurance, which I didn't realize was a thing. It sounds like a poor business model if you ask me. Then after a few people with good memories responded she just started carpet bombing them.
I guess she once had a long thread where she asked for gov't grants for IVF because she and her husband lived in different states and just likes to ask googleable questions occasionally, but she just went full troll.

@meggyme I mean, read a room! Although I have to believe she’s just looking to stir the pot at this point, she can’t actually think that this is an appropriate forum for these questions, especially with everyone’s responses.
@catlady2015 I did, but I have my doubts that anything will change. Maybe they'll reduce her "sentence". @lelkcot I agree. As far as I can tell that OP didn't get any repercussions, despite obviously trolling the TTGP board with questions that were against the TOU. She had an entire post deleted years ago and yet she's still allowed to post as if nothing happened. I'm sure it's hard for the admins to create a method of enforcing the rules, but allowing people to troll the regulars that make up the community and then punishing the regulars that were baited into responding is ridiculous.

@catlady2015 I added my support as well, though it seems unlikely to change anything, can’t hurt at least!
It’s all gloomy and gross here (hurricane Michael is headed our way, though we’re lucky to be far enough inland to just be expecting rain and storms), and things are slow at work... I’m about to start a gif party or something just to give myself something to do!
@lelkcot work is slow here too. It was fast paced this morning, but as always I work too fast for my own good when I have things I actually enjoy and am motivated to do and was done in 2 hours.
ETA: I'm debating if I'm feeling lazy enough to order Amazon Prime Now for groceries or take the toddler to the store after work. She's a good grocery shopper but I just don't think I wanna go. But I also don't have enough to justify paying for delivery because I don't meet the minimum.

@lelkcot Yeah, me too. It was nice when we lived in San Diego because we had a ton of grocery store options on Prime Now. Now I only have Amazon and Whole Foods. I also need to get DD's flu shot, but I think I'm doing that tomorrow so if she has a reaction I can have Friday and the weekend. So many things to do that I can't do from work...

@meggyme fx she won’t, DS didn’t have any issues with it this year other than a sore shoulder for a little bit. But definitely get factoring in that possibility when timing things like that!
It's probably a crazy idea, but I wonder if a Bump Blackout would be more effective for showing the bump gods just how important treating the regulars fairly is. I don't know if it would cause more harm than good, especially for the IF and other TTGP ladies who need the daily support, but a one day boycott of the bump might be more effective. They make money by people looking at and accidentally clicking the stupid ads all over the place, if they didn't have the entire TTGP contingent that makes up most of their top posters and probably most of their hits, I wonder if they'd let dpjennifer off the hook.
@meggyme I think it would be more effective than the petition. That said, it would probably be hard to get enough TTGP posters on board to make the necessary impact.
I agree with @lelkcot. Definitely more effective, would hit ‘em where it hurts. I’m happy to participate in a bump blackout, if we can get some more people on board with us!
