@AGK2015 Honestly I think not being that type A will work out in your favor!! Motherhood forces you to go with the flow, because the minute you think you’ve hacked baby is the minute they change things up yet again.

@AdorkablePixie thank you. I'm trying to think about the positive things going on in my life rather than dwelling on the negative, but it's not easy. My boss put it best: life is full. Full of joys and struggles, you just need to look hard to see the joys between the struggles. That's that I'm aiming for.
Insurance wise, I think it depends not just on insurance company, but specific plan. Mine had a case manager call me and explain everything (the only nice thing about my plan!)
@morgantu go for it girl! New job, new baby, new house (I think, right???), new life!!! Best of luck.
@westcoastfoodie you certainly do deserve to be happy! I hope you get the job you're looking for. Sucks your insurance caused such stress last time ordering your pump, thank goodness you have different insurance this time. And sorry you didn't pass your 1hr hopefully the 3hr is better news.
@CecilB93 pretty impressive! I've been unable to kick very high since pretty early on, it felt like I was crushing my insides!
@lexidawg instead of crankiness I am a weepy mess. I cried on the phone with hospital billing for like 45 minutes this morning. Hormones are in full effect!!!
@awells189 I'm considering changing OBs and hospitals, and may need to if I change insurance (which I plan to) before baby comes. That said, I'm not 100% loving my OB so my decision doesn't seem as difficult as yours. Cost is a major factor for us though. I'd rather be in network.
@PensiveCrayon thanks for your summary of Babywise. I have so much to learn (like what even IS sleep training?). I am thinking we will feed baby when baby wants to be fed initially, then try to get into a 2-3hr schedule after 3-4 weeks, then gradually go longer? I dunno wtf I'm doing! Lol We're pretty much flying by the seat of our pants over here.
@AGK2015 whoa...a 39 minute what? I am glad they've figured out a system that works for them, but I would have had a tough time keeping a straight face during that conversation:). At least in my world, if I am silly enough to think I've hacked my kids with an algorithm...they straighten me out: quickly and painfully:)!!!
@scaredunprepared sleep training is teaching your child to self-soothe and fall asleep on their own. There are a variety of different types of sleep training which allows for more crying, or more checking in with your baby in time intervals, or physical space. No one sleep training method works for all. I do think sleep training gets a bad rap, in that people against it say that it creates increased cortisol and leads to poor attachment (citing studies done in orphanages where the children were basically never checked on). I will say that sleep training saved my sanity. While I was knee deep in postpartum anxiety, my daughter wouldn't fall asleep without screaming her head off for 30+minutes. I'm not sure I would have recovered from PPA had we not done sleep training. Also, I fed on demand when she was a newborn, but she always drank breastmilk/breastfeed every three hours while she was awake until she was 1.

@katy0990 Maybe not? She supplied specific info on the next page, so that others could research and verify her story. You know...because that's normal.

That was amazing and thank you @gorgeousariel for that little bit of fun. She’s lamenting that she can’t video chat and now people are calling for a YouTube video. I sincerely hope she sticks around because she’s funnnn.
I just read page 8. I want her to make a YouTube video so badly! Also, she thought he would cheat with her daughter? And the part about the passport and birth certificate? So much wtf!
@Jens_Hoes thank you for that explanation. I think that's something we will definitely do later on, maybe after 4-6 months? We for sure need to do more research on methods of sleep training to figure out what we want to try and give ourselves other options if one doesn't work.
What gets me is she seems so darned earnest. The response she's gotten hasn't been super supportive or kind, but she just keeps on shrugging it off. Kudos, I guess?
There is no way she is real. Her story is so all over the place. Also, the passport she put a picture of has a birth year of 1952, she’s saying it’s her moms but when she posted the pic it was supposed to be for her child...? So I’m confused.
Might be be interesting to follow that board. lol

@morgantu That's a good point! I wouldn't have thought about that.
@AGK2015 That's a bit crazy sounding. I can't imagine tracking every minute of my child's waking time.
