@jemmerjams I think I've been in denial about this for a while now. I also feel like I need start to carry snacks cause I get lightheaded before I even realize I'm hungry.
@sliztee I have my u-shaped pillow. If I sleep on my back it does help a bit, but sleeping on my back hurts my sciatica now. It was a relief in my first tri, but now it's just all f'd up....
@KFrob I literally had the except opposite experience. No HB with DS, tons with DD. But DS prefer my right side and DD seems to prefer the left so maybe that is why.
the hip/glute/groin pain is getting ridiculous. I can even clean for more than 15 minutes without getting worn out.
@sliztee if you can prop on your back I'd give it a try!! Maybe itll help your hips, I haven't had terrible hip pain so far but I have woken up propped on a body pillow so I'm almost on my back most of the time.
I have been more comfortable on the couch than in bed, for sure. Sleeping on my back is really uncomfortable now and I think makes my heartburn worse at night. My pregnancy pillow isn't helping all that much either...
I've been fantasizing about a big comfy recliner pretty often lately, @sammierose464...I also think it would be really nice for breastfeeding. Maybe we should just get one! Momma throne.
I just received a Cozy Bump inflatable pillow as a gift from my supervisor at work. I'm excited to try it out tonight to see if I can sleep better! My hip pain has been horrible. I keep switching from side to side, hoping that one side will hurt a little less than the other. This pillow should let me sleep on my belly. We'll see how it works.
My asthma has been flaring up like crazy lately. Seeing my OB on Wednesday so I will ask him for a preventative. I'm using my rescue inhaler way more than I feel comfortable with. But I have to breathe.
@sliztee my prenatal yoga class does a lot of stretching to help ease hip pain and tightness. Is there one near you to try? Next time I go I’ll ask what the teacher recommends and try to bring it back here.
Ive also had some intense anxiety the past few nights. It was triggered by a long hiccuping episode by wiggles (that’s DHs nickname for baby) that led me down a terrifying google spiral. I actually think everything is ok but I’ve been hyper anxious since then...
That's a great idea, @rc-cola - I think I'm going to look into some YouTube videos, because the prenatal classes are virtually nonexistent here. Thank you!
So I'm thinking the palm itching might be the soap at work, which hasn't changed but maybe I developed a sensitivy to it? I don't seem to have an issue at home.
The annoying discomfort in my right ribs has come back. I know G is on my lower left based on where I'm feeling movements. However, my ribs feel sore and bruised. Or at least that area.
@mamabearcj I'll be sure to post an update! It was so weird, my supervisor mentioned it to me several weeks ago, he thought it was super funny, and said he was going to order it for me. I wasn't sure if he was serious. I came in this morning and it was on my chair. We got a new mattress recently and my sciatica has significantly improved (the old one was really bad), but this hip pain is just getting worse, so I'm really looking forward to this.
@nmadjeski Ugh, I’m right there with you. Mine never fully went away after having DD. I don’t care what happens during labor with this LO, my biggest concern is just keeping the hemorrhoids to a minimum!
+1 to bad hip pain. It's like my hip bones are radiatiating discomfort. I didn't even think if it being hips opening up/preparing for birth but of course that makes sense.
I feel like with DS the hip and back pain started much later
@sliztee look up Sarah Beth yoga on YouTube. She has some prenatal stuff. I haven’t tried it, but I think I will soon. I love her regular yoga though. She’s also a certified prenatal yoga instructor and recorded a lot of her prenatal videos while pregnant.
I've been sleeping propped up for awhile now. I'm using two quilts folded up so my head is basically two pillow heights up. It's gradual, so my neck isn't in a kink. I did it to help with breathing when I lay down but I thought it might help some with their acid reflux. DH just says it's hard to cuddle cuz I'm so high up and I have my body pillow.
I'm miserable and really starting to dread the idea of 10ish more weeks. Last night I got maybe 5 hours of sleep because I couldn't fall asleep. Between my feet itching, restless legs and general discomfort. Then I had really bad period style cramping that lasted for about 10 minutes. My 5:45 wake up sucked (especially because I had also gotten up to pee a few times).
This morning I have pain in my right pelvic and I threw up again... It's going to be a long Tuesday.
@sliztee I second @cdepperschmidt! I've been doing the Sarah Beth yoga this time and my back and hips hurt significantly less than my pregnancy with DD. If I don't do it for a couple of days I start to get sore.
@SawyerRichardson I've never dealt with them before. I really hope they dont get worse!
@sammierose464 I'm with you on that. I have roughly 10 weeks left too and I'm miserable. On one hand hand I'm like "omg only 10 weeks!" And the other I'm not sure I'm going to make it.
My hips ache all day long. I'm definitely going to try some yoga!
I couldn't sleep either! Couldn't get comfortable, peed more last night than ever before, leg cramps, horrible reflux, tossed and turned for most of the night... @sammierose464 has anything in your routine changed since your itching started that you've noticed? Has the benadryl not helped at all??
+1 to not knowing how I'm going to make it. Sleep is hard. Sitting at my desk is harder. Standing is hard. Walking sucks. Moving this week and setting up everything is going to push me over my limits I think. I'm over it!

so. tired. you guys...i know i should have been ready for this, but i am still amazed at how i went from doing all the things every day to being exhausted just from getting out of bed in the morning.
@mamabearcj nothing in my routine has changed, same soaps/laundry detergent/shampoo etc. The benadryl made me more miserable due to my general allergies and did nothing for the itching. Tonight I'm going to try calamine lotion on my feet/legs.
Crazy reflux again last night and just couldn’t get comfortable in bed at all. Finally gave up at about 12:30am last night and moved to the couch. It was so much better. Looks like I’ll be sleeping on the couch for the next 12 weeks..
My review of the Cozy Bump: It is huge. 6 feet long. It is not exactly designed for sleeping in a bed. More for resting/relaxing on the floor. I still used it in bed. After I figured out how to blow the thing up (pregnancy brain and I didn't want to look for our air pump), I immediately laid down, and it was so nice! It has an inner ring around the belly hole that supports the hips. It has a muslin cloth that you place over the belly hole to help support the belly. I had to adjust that a bit to get it comfortable. Too taught, and I was rewarded with hard kicks.
DH thought it was funny because I was lifted up so much higher than he was. I slept with it for about half the night, but then kicked it out of the bed because it was restrictive, and I didn't want to be on my belly the entire night. Still, half the night with my hips supported, and the other half sleeping on my sides (rolling back and forth like I do), I only started feeling the hip pain a little bit in the morning. It wasn't bad.
But it's still definitely better designed for lounging on the floor in front of the TV or something (does anyone actually have time for that?), instead of sleeping.
I woke up and my lower back is aching more than usual and I've been having a cramping by my left ovary. I've been up on my water intake and it's not painful just really uncomfortable. Just another thing to add to my feeling crappy.
H and I had sex Sunday night, and ever since my pelvis is really sore. Probably too much from trying to move around on the bed. Sorry honey, I'm immobile from now on.
H and I also had sex last night and I was also sore and the. got super freaked out today when I didn’t feel movemebt for awhile. That has since changed at least. It seems like the smallest things will offset my anxiety right now.
The sleeping is so hard. My legs are restless all night and I have to change positions repeatedly. 9 weeks to go as of tomorrow...at least single digits...
I really feel the worst at work, not trying to be dramatic. But sitting in traffic followed by sitting at my desk all day somehow brings out all the soreness, tiredness, and reflux. Was home yesterday and puttering around all day with various chores and felt just fine.
Counting down the days until "work from home" begins.
Ugh. +1 to sleeping issues, I can’t seem to get comfy anymore. I had been sleeping fairly well the last few weeks but dang I’m so tired!
my latest and greatest symptom is nipple pain. ouch!! I have only been wearing sports bras since I live in a small town and can’t try on proper maternity/nursing bras, not sure if they are irritated from that or if this is just going to be a new thing.
Well called my Dr about my rib pain. He sent me to L&D. I've been here for 2 hours. BP is fine, baby is fine. Slight concern it might be gallbladder issues, but the Dr I spoke to doesn't think that's it. They are taking some blood work to confirm.
Aka I'm probably just freaking myself out and it's all probably normal. G has been moving like crazy for the last two days.
Re: Symptoms 7/26
God I just miss sleeping comfortably on my back. I wake up sometimes on my back and its bliss
prefer the left so maybe that is why.
the hip/glute/groin pain is getting ridiculous. I can even clean for more than 15 minutes without getting worn out.
Sleeping on my back propped up has triggered my sciatica. Might want to reconsider that position, because sciatica is not fun!
