@violetmarie61516, ugh, Target bras were the worst! I'm an underwire girl, and everything with underwrites had these molded foam cups. No! I just want enough THIN foam to hide the headlights. That's it. They had plenty of non-wired bras with thinner foam, but non wired. I was so irked!
I actually still have yet to buy any actual nursing bras because I just couldn't find any I liked. What I've used for the last year are my regular bras, which unhook at the top of the cup so they can be crisscrossed in the back. I love them, and they work fine, although they aren't really one handed, and they completely separate so the strap can fall behind you. Unfortunately, I think the company discontinued them because I've only been able to find them on sale racks. But of course, they still have this style in wire free!
@violetmarie61516@lovesclimbing I lived in a couple of gap everyday smooth bras during my first pregnancy. No underwire, but still the right amount of shaping, and just a light padding to avoid headlights.
I found them in my box of maternity clothes the other day and I couldn’t believe how enormous they were! I love pregnancy boobs!
I used a couple stretchy nursing bras in the beginning and then used a bravado nursing bra with a wire. I haven’t sized out of my bras just yet, although they are definitely uncomfortable by the end of the day.

@violetmarie61516 Are you looking for nursing or just regular? I got my nursing bras at Motherhood after my son was born. For regular bras, I love the Gap.
I've tried plenty of non-wired bras, and I just can't do them. I have one non-wired nursing bra I only wear at home and those first few days when my supply is kicking in.
I just don't feel supported in them, and no matter how supposedly well made and "separating" or whatever they are, they still mush my boobs together.
I just ordered a couple if bras from Kindred Bravely. I got the racer back nursing and sleep bra. I need a bra to sleep in at night right now and then I can use them for nursing later. They aren’t really wear out of the house bras, but it looked like this site has ones like that too. They weren’t very expensive and had big sizes!
My biggest fail as a new mom was not having enough nursing bras in the very beginning. I was the mom taking my 2 week old to target 30 mins away to get more! Ugh! Everyone told me “don’t buy them early you have no idea how big you’ll get.” Yeah okay so then when I only have like 4 and go through 1 alone at night that means I’m going through all 4 in 2 days! I lived in sleeping nursing bras while I was on my maternity leave. I found them to be the most practical, comfortable (I could put my pads and ice/warm packs right in them), and they were stretchy so if I was full of milk they accommodated that. Once I went back to work my favorite were from motherhood maternity but this time I also plan on using bralettes.
Clothes Mentor (the older Platos Closet/ aka consignment) has a great maternity. I've gone in two different cities and gad great luck. They have all the matetnity vrands includung Liz Lange
Old navy maternity online has great stuff and deals too. I got great studf last time on Black Friday but sometimes they randomly do 40% off and also random sales. Prices are decent anyhow.
So, I'm not a big fan in general of celebrity clothing lines, but Jessica Simpson's nursing tanks are my absolute fave because they have a hook in the back to go from plain to racerback style - which is just so much more flattering on me as a stand alone piece. I plan to buy 3 more for this pregnancy as my first 2 are starting to wear out from 13 months of near continuous use.
I honestly don't care if it's a nursing bra at this point. I'm normally a 38DDD-E and I'm dying over here. I'm so uncomfortable in all my bras and of course I just bought all new about a week before my + test. I typically where an underwire but I'm open to anything comfortable at this point. I need something at night and during the day.

@meggyme i finally got my Pink Blush package in the mail today from that sale you posted about! The perfect $16 white dress for my gender reveal. I'm obsessed with it!
@indigoheightsblog mine comes tomorrow. Now I need to figure out a business formal outfit that will hide my bloat for next week. I don’t even think I have any dress pants that fit...
DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
@meggyme I have a full on bump at 9.5 weeks!!!!! it’s ridiculous! there’s no hiding it. i could absolutely participate in “hump day bump day” now i got several comments at a family function this past Sunday about how I was already showing. And they say that doesn’t usually happen with your first! Lucky me this little strawberry of mine wants to make itself known from the get go!
Ugh, I don't want to put on maternity clothes yet because my pants don't feel any tighter. However, it seems like the waistband on my jeans is making my pelvic/uterus aching worse. *sigh*
@lovesclimbing I can't quite keep my maternity shorts up yet, but my regular shorts/bellaband aren't quite cutting it either. It might just be elastic waist skirts from here on out.
DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
Thank heavens for fat jeans. They still fit. Otherwise it’s elastic or drawstrings for the win! Really hoping to not have to buy maternity shorts for such a short time.
@catlady2015 I have maternity shorts from my June baby and they are awesome. Depending on where you are it may be hot for several more months, so it might be worth $20-30 for a pair from target or old navy just to get you through.

I haven't done any maternity shopping yet, just a little light browsing on zulily. However, we told our parents last week, and apparently my mom got excited, because this happened...lol
@lucysmom2016, aww. My mom got me a dress last time, except I don't really like it. She sent me a link and asked what I thought, and I said it looked nice. Well, then she got it for me. I would have preferred if she sent me a few links or told me she was going to get it because I would have demurred on that one.
@lovesclimbing My mom almost never buys me clothes normally. She said she only did it because it was a going out of business sale and the deals were too good to pass up, but...
awww moms are the sweetest! yesterday i was at work complaining to my mom that my boobs were killing me and popping out of my bras (already!!!) and i came home to two new bras one size up hanging on my side door. she's in full grandma mode! (side note: the new bras feel SO much better.)
@chocolatelemons thank you so much for the recommendation! Bought one today and I'm feeling so much better.

I just got the bra that @JLaVO888 posted above from Target. I think it'll work well. I'm normally a 34 f/g so with bras that are s/m/l sizes, the band is usually loose on me while the cups are too small. Since the band is adjustable on this one, the large fits me. I'm typically an underwire person, so I don't know I'll feel quite as supported as usual but it's much more comfortable than my regular bras.
I just got hooked up at Kohl’s 1 pair of capris, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of work pants, a dress, 3 tank tops, 3 3/4 length sleeve shirts, and 1 t-shirt for $70! That was with an extra 30% off that my mom had. But the prices were still awesome they had shorts for under 15, jeans for 10-15, dresses for $10-15, and most tops for $3-$10.
I didnt know how how bad I wanted to wear maternity clothes until I put them on! I instantly felt better! Now waiting for people to know so I can rock them in public.
Following up on stitch fix because I decided to try it. I was pleased they went ahead and sent real maternity jeans because I was ready for them. I personally found the tops to all be a little strange cut wise but I liked the colors and fabrics. They sent me three tops all about 50-60$ and two 75$ pairs of pants. Probably a little high for everyday wear but not so bad for work. If you want a referral link you can send a DM, I think you get 15$ credit if you decide to make an order. No pressure obviously.

@3rdtime_charmed thanks for the follow up! I tried stitch fix maternity 3 years ago and didn’t like anything they sent me. I kept the maternity tanks they sent just so I wouldn’t lose the styling fee but even those were meh. Maybe I’ll give it a try again this go around.

Finally went out and bought myself a bigger bra (couldn't take it anymore, it was time!), and decided to just go ahead and get a nursing bra; seemed like a better investment than just getting a new regular bra. And I am sooooooooooooo happy I did, feels so much better! I got a Motherhood maternity demi bra- it feels very similar to the body by victoria bras that I normally buy, but with the obvious nursing function built in, and came in at about half the price!
I just ordered from Old Navy. They have a 40% off deal until tomorrow on pretty much everything, including sale. I have issues with the ink on dark washes running until they've been washed a half dozen times and washed in vinegar, but other than that, I love their jeans. I got two pairs for $18 each ($35 regular), two tops and a pair of leggings for my daughter (had to reach $50 for free shipping, haha. But she does need them) all for $52.
Just got my first few maternity clothing items from Walmart(shopped online). OMG they are so cute!! Good prices too! I noticed all the Liz Lange comments on here and they're selling her stuff at Walmart. It's really nice! Just thought I'd share.

Ooh, I'll have to check online! My local Walmart is pretty decent size, but they have nothing except a handful of bras, two or three pairs of pants, a couple tops and a couple tanks in literally less than half an aisle in the bra section.
