Re: changing tables

We originally had a dresser with a pad on top for DS's changing table & I didn't use it one. We used the top of the pack n play for many months. Granted, we have the room for it, but it worked great for us!

My eyebrows have gotten thinner and thinner the last few years so I have let them grow since August. It has been an entire 9 months without plucking or waxing and I should have luscious, thick, movie star eyebrows. But I do not, not at all. Hum bug.

@tumbleweed-1 there were only a few times with my daughter that I went to change her diaper and she wasn't done pooping  there was one time it shot out of her butt like a rocket and got everywhere lol 
so your baby might pee or poop on whatever you change it on. I personally didn't go out of my way to buy anything special, and just changed her where I was

@Jens_Hoes yes! Glad my DS wasn't the only one to have a projectile poop. DH and I died laughing, it got all over the blinds of our window but luckily no carpet was in the line of fire!

I can honestly count on one hand the number of times that we haven't used the changing table (or rather, the changing area on top of her dresser) if we're at home. Our apartment was little and our house is even littler, so it's never been an inconvenience to just take her to her room. 

For those worrying about baby peeing on the bed; I hate to break it to you, but incontinence is coming. Chances are if baby pees on the bed, he or she won't be the first (or the only) one to do it. Happy snissing!

@echo-charlietango my last BMB we migrated to Facebook at the end of the third trimester. Only a few people had given birth at that time.

Yeah I'm hoping we wait until at least third tri! It can take time to weed out the crazies (though uh, some show themselves right away, haha.) And also some people lurk or semi lurk at the beginning and don't participate until they're sure the pregnancy is gonna stick. Around 35 weeks is my ideal time to transition, but everyone is different and I'm happy to go with the flow of what everyone decides.

Definitely the train wreck-iest we've had so far.  I've managed to keep my nose out of it and just enjoyed via lurking.  

Also, WHY is this stupid thing refusing to let me type outside of the quote box?!  The draft auto-save is nice (I guess?) but when the quote does this stupid thing and then auto-saves it's like that for.ev.er

For my March BMB we moved to FB around November I think, I know it was early enough to do a Secret Santa still! So right around end of second tri/beginning of third tri. I'm fine with anytime after second tri, I feel like most crazies are weeded out by then.

Thanks for the thoughts on Snoo.  We probably won't get it.  But if we do, I'll wait for a sale and have it delivered on my due date.  They have a free 30 day return window, so if it doesn't work for us we can always send it back.

And we also voted on 5 (a random number we chose) admins, and they decided on people who were not really regulars yet, or seemed off on whether or not they should get an invite to Facebook.  It wasn't a now or never thing, but a hey we don't know you that well yet and want you to participate more so that we don't invite a crazy into our group

also- I think my BMB core group moved over around 3rd tri too. We still talk every day, meet IRL, and love each other to pieces. When it works, it’s amazing.

@AdorkablePixie Would they really shut the whole December board down?  I get annoyed by people posting random gender prediction threads too, but I don't really see why we can't just collectively ignore them rather than engage.  It never goes well.

My last BMB moved for real a month or two after babies were born. We had an earlier group, but I believe pee sticks were still wet & I couldn't stand all of the people I didn't recognize. 

By the way, today has been quite entertaining between the Intros, Randoms & the drive by AW post.
