@katie35 thanks for letting us know, so sorry that you didn’t get better news. I’m really hoping you are able to get some good feedback from the RE on moving forward.
@kbenner2 glad to know that everything is going well, and that's exciting that you can feel the baby moving now! @katie35 so sorry my dear i know it's hard, cry if you need to but don't be too hard on yourself. sending you positive vibes and love! @mackorori how did your u/s go? AFM, I had my transfer today, it went well I guess they transferred a 4B+A, but I was so stressed and trying to read every expression that they had, and i was probably reading them wrong. Like, the embryologist i felt like it he wasn't confident in my embryo like couldn't look at me in the eyes (probably because I was half naked! hahaha, laughing at me now while typing) but he wasn't smiling, nothing... i don't know I might just being crazy. And I was also sad, because my embaby didn't hatch during thaw/transfer, but the embryologist said it expanded as expected, so I guess i should be ok with that. Also, as I was leaving all the other REs, PAs and nurses had their fingers crossed and wishing me luck and that made me cry. I hope it will work, i don't wanna go thru this again!
@babydust2507 glad to hear everything went well, even though a bit stressful. Are you taking the next couple of days off to relax? When will your clinic run a beta? Hoping for the best!!!
AFM...another positive US, which made for a good day! Our little bean is 7+6 with 144 HB. Will go in again next week.
that's awesome @mackorori, congrats again! my beta on 11/2 and yes i took the week off actually. i will stay home for 2 days and go out do things over the weekend
@babydust2507 I totally understand how you’re feeling about the embryo transfer. At mine I expected to feel so much more excited, but instead was partly disappointed that there was only one...was the grading good enough.... over analyzing their expressions and words. It’s just emotionally exhausting!!! I will be praying for you and a positive beta coming up!
@mackorori how exciting about another great ultrasound!!! 144 bpm!! Yay!! Keep us posted about next weeks ultrasound!!
@mackorori congratulations on great ultrasound. Next week will be graduation appointment?
@babydust2507 I don’t think you should even though it is hard not too. Usually doctors, nurses and embryologists are busy to do one thing after the other and their expressions might not mean anything. How is your TWW going on ? When is ur beta ?
@babydust2507 I totally understand what you are saying too! I swear without the valium I would be a basket case on transfer day. That looks like an awesome embryo though. I bet it is snuggling in right now! Congrats!
@mackorori Congratulations on another great ultrasound!!
@bktap thanks for checking in, it was another good week 😁 My RE can see me up until 10 weeks, so I may still go next week or just wait until my OB appointment on the 12th. A bit nervous to move on, but it’s also a good thing!
That is a great first number @babydust2507! Good luck on Tuesday!
AFM, I chatted with my RE last week on the phone. She mentioned that she wants me to do an endometrial function test through Yale. Has anyone heard of this? I think I am going to ask the larger group as well. Google is giving me some information but not a ton.
@katie35 I don’t know about this test but I googled and looks like it’s a new test and a recent discovery. They test for 2 chemical which might intervene with the implantation.
@katie35 interesting, I have not heard of this either. Curious if anyone has on the IF threads, people have been through a lot here! I always say knowledge is power, so if there are newer tests that may provide some answers or rule out certain things, I’m all for it.
@babydust2507 good luck with your second beta tomorrow.
@bkatp I'm dying over here! the wait is killing me! thanks for checking on us though! I've been lurking your forum glad to see some good updates on your end!
@bkatp thanks for checking in! How are you? How are you feeling?
I went for my follow up today, and will be starting the BC tonight. I wasn't expecting to start today but here we are. I kind of wish I didn't get lazy these last few weeks, I indulged on junk food and had some drinks. My RE is going to change up my protocol a little bit this time. He said he really doesn't know why it didn't work. Also, they will trigger me differently since I was hyper stimulated- it was mild, but I actually didn't know until today that I was. He did some further testing on me to see if there is some autoimmune issues that they missed. I have hypothyroidism but it is under control. My RE isn't really into supplements or vitamins outside of eating healthy and taking pre-natals; I bought "It starts with the egg" book, but if anyone has anything that made a difference, I would love to hear it. Overall, feeling a bit nervous for round 2. I am not sure how I am going to manage stims and teaching and riding the subways. I am going to have to tell my boss and really apprehensive about that conversation.
@bkatp thanks for checking in. I hope things are well with you, any updates?
@anared exciting to get started again, I hope this cycle goes well for you. I don't know if I have any magic answers, but from reading some of the IF posts that book seem to be a popular resource. I also did acupuncture, I think that helped (even if just for my stress levels).
My update...I had my first OB appointment yesterday. It seemed to go well, the baby was literally waiving at us on the US, it was the coolest thing I've seen. However, she later mentioned the nuchal fold was on the thicker side so they want me to go to a specialist so they can take a look and then combined with the Panorama results (took yesterday) decide if CVS/amnio would be recommended. I know it's early for measuring these things and often times this means nothing, but I can't help think about this whole age and egg quality thing that plagues me and be a little worried. You definitely can't google these things, it will drive you crazy. Anyway, when I get all up in my head about it, I just think of our little babe waiving and focus on that.

@katie35 I haven't heard about this test. Is it the same thing as when they take a sample of the lining before transfer?
