  • how are you doing @kbenner2? did you transition to a regular obgyn now?
  • @kbenner2 thank you. I did get tempted to test early at home but I know I won't be willing to take PIO s if I read negative before the actual test. So I stopped myself.
  • @babydust2507 I did transfer to a regular OB now which has been good. I’m 13 weeks along... almost out of the first trimester now. Baby is doing great. I actually just found out this week that some routine tests came back not so good and they think I could have cervical cancer. Some cells already came back as carcinoma in situ. Devastating is an understatement at this point. My husband took me in yesterday and they took 3 biopsies, which terrified me due to a weakening cervix/miscarriage risk. The doctor even said, “I’m assuming since this is an ivf baby that termination is off the table?” Talk about ripping your heart out.... obviously off the table but it killed us every time she said the word termination. So now we wait for biopsy results to see what our next step is. 😔

  • @kbenner2 So happy to hear that your pregnancy is going well, but possible cancer sounds so scary. Praying the biopsies come back benign and you can get back to a happier focus on your little one.
  • @kbenner2 I am so sorry to hear this.  That has to be so scary for you guys.  I will be sending lots of prayers that the biopsies come back with good news and you can put this scary phase behind you!

I wanted to share an update with the group, hope it’s a sign of good things to come for everyone here!!

In waiting one extra cycle to start our FET process, it turns out instead of CD1 we got a BFP instead!! As you may recall my fertility issues are about egg quality, with two IVF cycles we only had one PGS normal embryo, so I am being realistic (read: terrified) this may not go well. But for now I’m being optimistic that one of the few chromosomally perfect eggs I have left was the one used for our unexpected miracle.

  • @mackorori wow!!! What amazing news!! I was just going to ask if anyone had updates about their FETs!! What a little miracle! Do you have a tentative due date? I know all about the terrifying feelings... making it hard to be excited in the moment... but wow!! This could be it!! ❤️ Congrats!!!

  • @anared and @katie35 do you have your fet calendars yet ?
  • Hey!  Thanks for checking in @bkatp!  I started my Gonal f on Sunday.  I have an US on Friday to try to determine when we will trigger and transfer.  I am guessing it will be around the 15th though!

I have been thinking about you @kbenner2!

How are you feeling @bkatp??  When do you have your first US?

    @babydust2507 any updates on you??

@katie35 I'm on estrace right now, I will start PIO on the 19 and my transfer is scheduled for 10/24. would you be joining us in the Oct-18 FET forum?
  • @katie35 - Awesome, that's  coming close. I am doing OK, not many symptoms, counting days. I have first US to check the position of the implantation on this Thursday.
  • @bktap my RE will monitor me until about 8 1/2 weeks if all is going well then I “graduate” to an OB. We passed two beta tests so far, so the next step will be an ultrasound on the 15th. Speaking of ultrasounds, hope all goes well with yours tomorrow!
  • that's very good @mackorori! I'm exciting for you!
  • I’m loving all these get updates!! Can’t wait for more happy news to come! @mackorori I am soooo excited about your little one! Yay for good early betas!! Keep us posted on your ultrasound coming up!

AFM... Hey... This past Saturday my biopsy results were released to us online by the lab/pathologist...not on purpose... and it was awful. My report said I had a history of malignancy (heartsick) ... and strongly positive for these tests I didn’t even understand... and 3 hours of google searching wasn’t helping Hubby and I figure it out. We just felt sick and lost. We just needed a doctor to explain our results but we had to wait until Monday. So the weekend was rough but we got more answers.... after MANY questions from myself... my doctor said I do not have a history of malignancy and that was apparently a lab error... ugh... one of my biopsies was benign, one was low grade, and one is high grade with a CIN2 grading (better than what was predicted). This spot still worries us... as it was strongly positive for tumor suppressing proteins. I don’t currently have a tumor she said but my cells are working overtime to keep the bad cells at bay. We are praying this CIN2 grading instead of the CIN3/CIS grading that was originally thought, will give my body some extra time to keep everything at bay until delivery and praying it doesn’t progress to cancerous by then. After that I will have a procedure to remove a large portion of my cervix and depending on how my body responds to that procedure... possibly a hysterectomy. Sorry for the long update.... it’s been ALOT these past two weeks. We are more hopeful after hearing our new diagnosis so now putting it in God’s hands!

@kbenner2 Thank god. I am very happy to hear about your update. I was really worried about you. Ill pray your cells fight enough and it wont progress to cancerous state. I ll pray for the little one to arrive safely and the procedure to happen.

@mackorori congratulations on passing 2 beta's what were the values? I hope this will be your miracle baby I am just 5 days ahead of you with EDD of 5/31/2019

AFM, I had my ultrasound & BW today. We could see gestational sac, yolk sac, fetal pole and heart beat at 107bpm. CRM 3.69 measuring 6 weeks. I am happy to make it to this point.

@kbenner2 I am so sorry you had to go through all of that over the weekend!  You had to have been so worried.  I am so happy though that you got some good news and I will keep praying that your body keeps fighting!

@mackorori so glad your betas were good!  Sending prayers for an awesome US on the 15th.

@bkatp so glad your US went well!!  I was thinking about you today.  That has to be a good feeling

@babydust2507 Yes!  I have been following the October FET board.  I just haven't done a lot of jumping in.  I am having a hard time keeping up with everyone!  I probably should try to get back in there!!
  • @kbenner2 glad to know to have better news! I will keep on praying for you that your baby will make it to term and your cells will continue to fight and I can't believe your lab made that mistake, that is crazy! sorry you have to go thru that stress
    @bkatp so excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kbenner2 that is crazy what happened with your results and not even being able to ask questions!! Happy to hear it’s more favorable news, though I’m sure you feel like it’s still a long road ahead. Prayers this stays in the right direction, when are you due?

@bkatp what great news, the heartbeat is such an amazing thing to see! My betas were 558 and 1067 two days apart, so all increasing as should be. Happy I will be at a conference and visiting family all next week, it will keep me distracted from thinking about the upcoming ultrasound!
  • @bkatp thanks for checking in! How are you feeling? So exciting you got to hear the heartbeat!

@kbenner2 I’m glad it is a little better than expected. Praying everything is suppressed as you said until delivery. And faulty lab work is such unnecessary stress. Sorry that had to happen over a weekend when you can’t get in touch with any one. Fingers crossed!

AFM I did my transfer last week- I thought they were going to cancel and then I got a call they were moving forward. It happened so fast. But- it was sloppy- my nurse didn’t update my file so no one knew the medications I was taking, not even my RE. Then after being guaranteed my RE would be doing the transfer (he even said see you on transfer day when we were there), I got a voicemail the night before that it would be another doctor. The day of they said my RE was taking a religious day but they knew 4 days prior and no one told me. My RE hasn’t done my egg retrieval or my transfer. Anyway I had my beta today and it was positive but my numbers are 43, very low according to my RE, so I’ll go back Sunday but he didn’t make it sound very promising. So I am really not sure what to do or expect.
  • @anared congrats on your BFP! and FX that everything goes well. sorry that your RE did not reassure you, I hope it's just a slow start and your lil one will catch up and surprise you all at your next appt how many dpt are you?
  • @anared how exciting for your positive beta!! What day past transfer were you for your beta test?? Maybe you’re just really early or late implanted!  My first beta was 45 but it was on day 7 past transfer instead of the usual 9 days past transfer. At 9 days post transfer (typical day of beta) mine jumped to 115 and my pregnancy has been great so far with baby. What a bummer about the crazy mixup/lack of communication about your RE.. but yay for things working out. My RE changed to a different doctor for both my retrieval and transfer so I totally get it!! Will you get your results back on Sunday or will you have to wait until Monday??

  • @anared Congratulations on your BFP!!  That is great news, but so frustrating about the lack of communication.  This whole process is so stressful already without feeling like you aren't taken care of.  I will be praying though that this is it and that your betas just keep going up!!  Keep us posted!!
  • @babydust2507 @kbenner2 @katie35 Thank you so much for the wishes! I am cautiously optimistic but we aren't really celebrating just yet. I am about 12 dpt now so my RE sounded discouraging. Hopefully I will have my results by tomorrow afternoon.

How are you doing with your FET preparations @babydust2507 @katie35 October is here! so exciting! Not sure, which progesterone you will be doing but I am on the PIO and ordered this buzzy bee- I just got it in the mail- the wings are ice and it vibrates. It is really for children and my husband laughed at me, but it helps with the shot. In case you are on PIO and looking for some pain relief.
  • LOL @anared thank you for the tip, i'll definitely look into that! and yes I'll be on PIO starting 10/19
  • Hey ladies, I got my second beta today and it dropped to a 12 so it looks like I am losing this one. They left a voicemail telling me to call my RE on Thursday when he gets back, because of course he is away again. I wasn't given any instructions for the PIO or estradiol so I am not sure what to do? I am waiting for one of the on call nurses or doctors to get back to me about whether or not I continue. This was my only normal embryo so I am going to have to start from the beginning at some point, but not sure when.

I hope you are all doing well!
  • @anared I'm so sorry to hear that! and hope that your clinic will call you back today to give some instruction and reassurance. how are you doing? I'll be praying for you
  • @anared I am so sorry to hear that.  That is such hard news to get  :( Also sorry to hear that your clinic isn't being clear.  That is such unnecessary stress during a time that is hard to begin with.  Sending prayers for comfort for you!
  • @anared I am so so very sorry to hear this news. What heartache. Please know that I’ll be praying for you and your heart....❤️

  • @anared so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are able to take some time for yourself, it can be so stressful.
  • @anared so sorry to hear about dropping beta. Please stay strong. Did your clinic get back to you? Can you ask his availability or can he promise his availability next time.  I understand how stressful it can be when there is no/little information.
  • @bkatp thank you! I had to chase them a bit to get answers but I stopped my estradiol and PIO Sunday. Currently waiting for my period now. I have been calling to get an appointment with my RE but he has no availabilities so, instead of going to the hospital where the main clinic is, I am going to try and go to one of the smaller monitoring offices closer to my work, maybe the RE there can see me just for blood and follow up sono.
I asked for a follow up with my RE to talk about what happened and next steps, and they told me his next availability for that is January 2nd. My husband is worried that my medications were off just because my RE admitted to him that the dose I was prescribed was not what was written in my file so we are just confused right now.
