Guys I’m so freaking bad at letting things go. I mean, so bad at it. I think I’ve discovered the solution, and it’s just appointing myself the winner and awarding myself a cheesecake. If this works in all situations I will have solved a lot of my problems. I’ll probably also gain a lot of really happy weight.
@chopchop25 I'm 15w4d and I am not showing at all. It's 100% bloat still for me (I'm pretty sure). I feel like these posters need 5o watch all the Bump weekly videos to understand what's going on with their bodies. I find them mildly helpful! The 3D look inside is kinda cool too.
I'm exhausted and legit too tired to be b*tchy...I just don't have the energy or it in me today. I think that's why I hoped everyone else would release theirs - so I could live vicariously through it.
And yes, heated toilet seats are gross. I had a hotel room in Taiwan with that and it creeped the sh*t outta me (no pun intended.)
Ive been MIA this week from TB - the first half of the week I spent in bed/barfing all day every day and the last half I had to try and make up for the slacking ive been doing at work! I have one more meeting to go today and then i will be doing nothing all weekend.
I am so ready to feel better again. On the upside I finally got in for a new set of lashes and I feel like a new woman!
Just left my gender ultrasound..my mom got to be there which was amazing but DH wasn’t so I let them tell just my mom and she’s doing a small gender reveal for us tonight! ( they’re leaving to go back to OH tomorrow) Baby was literally the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! (3D US)
I’m just tired and grumpy. It’s the coming off Night shift hangover. Plus I’m still firmly in food aversion land, and would really like to want to eat anything. I think an crazy early bedtime is in the cards. But I also want sex... maybe DH will wake me up.
So a girl on my Facebook is due in October as well a think she's only five or six days behind me (I've actively looked through our threads. Haven't seen her yet lol) anyways, she's been posting bump pics on fb as well and comparing mine to hers make a me suddenly feel like my bump is HUGE!!! Like she's barely showing and I couldn't hide this bump if I tried... FTM and I know everyones bodies are different but like wow
Sorry to be such a salty grump but this is such a pet peeve of mine. None of us will know our babies’ gender identities for a couple years at least. What we learn from ultrasounds is their SEX. I will attempt not to rant about this again, but as I’ve mentioned, I am terrible at letting things go. *returns to eating cheesecake*
@jynjer91 I definitely don't mind it either, someone at work keeps joking that I'm gonna have triplets and I'm like please Lord no! To those mommas that have more than one I applaud you!!! I know that who DH and I are as people and in our current financial situation, we couldn't handle more than one baby at a time right now.. so I'm hoping it just one big baby in there lol
@DunkinDecaf I have been using the term "sex determination". I think a lot of people still use "gender" because its a "nicer" word than sex. But they aren't synonymous, I completely agree with you. We told my daughter that tonight we're going to find out if the baby has a penis or vagina.
Thank you @DunkinDecaf! It was bothering me a little, too. I was so pleased when we ordered the donuts for the reveal that neither company batted an eye when I asked for ‘sex reveal’ doughnuts.
I pretty much use sex all the time rather than gender, because I do know the difference - but sex reveal sounds extremely weird. I wish there was another word that wasn't synonymous with intercourse.
Ugh sorry it’s such a huge deal (gender/sex) to everyone. I just say gender reveal because it’s whats popular and it’s easy and I never really think twice. I KNOW the difference but it’s easier to go with the flow than explain to everyone. I don’t have the energy or time for that.
I found out I have a infection in my shoulder. I am on cephalexin (penicillin) for a week to try to get rid of it. Which makes me nervous for baby but everything I read and the Dr. & pharmacist and my mother in law nurse say it's safe for baby and much better to get rid of the infection before it goes into my blood.
I got rotator cuff surgery back in September. I now do physio every week which includes some deep tissue massage to help losen my shoulder. The Dr. Thinks this gave me a cycst and then it got infected. I'm just upset that it took over a month to figure this out. I went to my surgeon twice and they brushed it off and said it has nothing to do with the surgery to go to my family doctor. Then that took a week to book, then had an ultrasound to determine what it was and that took a week to find out results.
I see my OB on Monday and will make sure everything is good with the baby but now that I can feel it moving it does ease my mind which is a blessing.

I think it’s worth it to put in the extra effort not to equate gender and sex. It’s also part of showing up for trans and gender non conforming people. By taking the time to use the right language in every day spaces we help make that more of the commonly used terminology.
For those who don’t like using the word “sex” My friend did a chromosome reveal party which was pretty cute if you are into reveal parties.
@rc-cola Oh I like that! That makes it seem a little less about what's between it's legs, too. Which is kind of weird that people have parties for that.

^this. It doesn’t take extra time. I’ve never had anyone question my language. Even if it did, helping make the world a more welcoming place for everyone is worth it.

Also, there is a new fountain in the office that makes a constant trickling sound. As if I didn't take enough bathroom breaks...
