@mama2bofthree I just bought this one. They have it on Amazon too, but it was triple points weekend and the price was a wash when you have to buy the Jersey cover separately on Amazon.
It's super soft, TBD on how I will really use it. First night I tried putting it between my knees to help my back and it may have been too thick. But it does feel like a nice hug or cloud cuddling you. Also it takes up half my king bed, so my husband isn't too thrilled lol. We'll see how I like it!
@knottieamusements doh! Should have used the search function. Whoopsies!
I’m a heat box when I sleep anyway so thinking about being surrounded by pillows makes me sweat. I always wake up on my back. In previous pregnancies, it woke me up multiple times a night. Maybe I’ll just try your nest idea.
I have one like jemmerjams. I love it. I am only using it here or there right now, mainly when my hips are bugging me and sleeping on my side gets super uncomfortable from that. I like the support from all sides and that I can roll over no issue. It is big in my queen bed though.
@mama2bofthree - I think for me, part of the difference is that I have a preference for feather pillows as I find synthetic ones to be too hot and/or stiff. (Not all of them, but in general.) Even my body pillow is a feather pillow.
My other pillows also smell right (even before getting pregnant, smells bothered me- I’m not saying that the pregnancy pillow smells bad, just not right.)
And I can shove my pillows where they need to be and leave gaps where I want- which is why I think the current nest option is working- I have my body propped up, with less weight on my shoulders, and nothing across my arms.
I loved my pregnancy pillow last time. It was one of the full U shaped ones so I could roll to whatever side and not have to readjust. But, I didn’t start using it until 20-something weeks. Before that I just used an extra regular pillow to prop up one leg/hip while still sleeping on my stomach.
Has anyone else used the expectant mothers parking yet? It’s raining and the store was busy so I parked in the last one today and felt guilty about it! I know I qualify for it, but I feel like it’s for when you’re bigger and walking gets harder. It didn’t help that my kids asked me why I parked in the handicapped spot (they don’t know I’m pregnant yet & saw a sign, so assumed it was handicap parking- fortunately they bought the it’s for parents of small children too - it is, but they’re 5).
I’m experiencing something kind of strange and I want to know if anyone has experience. I will preface by saying I’m going to call my doctor first thing tomorrow.
Today has has been an awful day nausea wise for me, but for the past hour or so I’ve had this weird feeling in my stomach. It kind of reminds me of butterfly’s, but also Braxton Hicks. It’s at the top of my belly and it is constant, but not painful. Anyone deal with this before? I’m only 13w and 2 days.
@purplegoldfish2 if I saw a woman using that when she wasn't showing I would just assume she was in first tri, and honestly I think that's the time when I need it the most! 2nd tri and even 3rd tri weren't a big deal to me.
I've only experienced expectant mom parking at Babies r Us, but I totally parked there.
@cdepperschmidt my coworker had something similar on Monday. She's 22 weeks though. She said it felt like contractions almost. She went to the Dr and it was fine.
@sammierose464 Wegmans has it around here (because they’re awesome).
@hellopartyof5 thanks! That’s good to know. I frequently see people parking there that shouldn’t be (sorry 30 something man, you are clearly not pregnant and there are no kids with you) and get self conscious about parking there since I’m not showing.
Has anyone been experiencing upper abdominal pain?
periodically I’ve has pain under my ribs that I chalked up to heartburn but it’s not like heartburn I’ve ever felt and sometimes it onsets when I haven’t even eaten.
@hacharles I mad some pain and cramps in my upper abdomen a few weeks ago but it went away. Doc wasn’t worried, but certainly call yours if it’s worrying you!

I would love to ask DH to just drop me off at the front door since he drives most of the time but he thinks that is ridiculous. The cold doesn't help. I haven't seen any special parking spots for me though
@cdepperschmidt was just about to say the same thing as @sammierose464. I'm sure it's hard for them to make sure they're understanding/translating your explanation of the symptoms clearly over the phone, so better safe than sorry!
Will be thinking of you and fx everything it's an easy checkup and everything is okay (and that there isn't like a 3 hour wait at the ER bc no one needs to spend their Friday like that.)
@cdepperschmidt Oh no! I’m sure it’s because they close early and couldn’t get you in today. Hopefully the ER trip is quick and easy with good results!
