@doxiemoxie212 yeah... I added the link into the message I posted. I thought people might wonder what the hell chit chat was and if I was losing my mind because I wasn't making sense.
@galactickates I was on desktop before so I just went to the link. But then I wanted to just find chit chat on my phone and was like BUT WHERE IS THIS PLACE NOW
@offtoneverland Hii!!! Ugh this January I had to stage a house on a back road with a foot of snow. We got the truck stuck, a mover got his car stuck. It was a mess. Mind you, I haven't seen a foot of snow in YEARS. It's not a common occurrence in NC. Awful day. Also RE: Disney. I saw that thread! It took everything in there to not charge in announcing that H and I were going to Disney for sh*ts and giggles as two grown adults this summer.
@lalala2004 Yes about the beach! I love vacations where there is a beachside pool but I hate the sand and actually going into the ocean.
@doxiemoxie212 Thank you for telling us where you found it on the app! I couldn't figure it out! I also had trouble finding it on desktop if I'm being honest...
Hells yes. Facing up, and properly sorted. Then you pull it out by grabbing them all beneath the business end of the utensil and voîla! Best of all the worlds. Also unload said silverware with clean hands, bc duh.
@doxiemoxie212 - When I brought up that we should do this, I remembered this thread. Only problem was... when I went to make good on my word it took me a second to remember where the hell it was. I kind of like that though
Silverware goes up. If MH and I ever get a divorce this will be the reason why. He is convinced he will impale his hand on a spoon. I don’t like them face down because all the tines on the forks get tangled and bent out of shape.

DHs biggest pet peeve is if I put ANY SPOONS in the same silverware drop thing together. He thinks one spoon per drop maximum. It’s like yo, it’s fine.
I prefer silverware to go face down, but even more so, I prefer H to do the dishes. He just throws them in all willy nilly. But they're clean so whatever.
I don't understand the impale fear... why would this happen? Just hold utensil from a reasonable height and let go. If it falls.. try again.
Eta @doxiemoxie212 - I have so many questions. How many drops do you have? I feel like that would never work in our house. H has a bowl of cereal every morning. I'm not doing dishes that often!
I see your point about the possibility of being impaled. It's why I always put knives facing down. I also squat down and pick up the spoons and forks by their handles. My silverware baskets are pretty large.
@galactickates Another vote for sorting. I have an entire system on how the dishwasher must be loaded for efficiency. I guess I'm a bit obsessive. I think lala is talking about if forks are facing up and grabbing them out after the load is ran.
Also, my thoughts about spoons going downwards is that they are concave/convex, whatever you call it, and I worry that the sprayers won't get one part of the spoon. I have allowed mh to put forks and spoons down before and it didn't clean very well. Maybe it's just our dishwasher. /shrugs

On the topic of silverware- I was previously a silverware up person. But! We got this shiny new dishwasher last year, and it has a separate pull out drawer on top to lay silverware in. Each piece gets it's own slot. It is fantastic!
I have no UO at the moment. But sushi is fantastic and will be my first in hospital meal.
@jrm_14 - does anyone even buy the regular oreos? Buuut I do like the golden oreos. If you don't think of them as an alternative to a double stuff oreo, and instead think of them as their own stand alone cookie... they are quite delicious.
Newp. @galactickates. Cannot do the golden ones, either. They are just oreo imposters! I believe our most recent purchase actually was the family pack of classic oreos. I would share them with you, except they are already gone! :D *typos

Day late and a dollar short, as always. But best idea ever!
-Silverware goes face up, sorted by type. But H also does the dishes now, so IDGAF what he does as long as they come out clean. -Friends was okay, but nothing to write home about. -Double stuffed Oreos 4 lyfe! -Scrunchies are for thick hair only. They look weird on thin hair... like a huge hair tie for a tiny bit of hair... [FFFC: Butterfly clips were my jam back in the day!!]
UO1: Dishes do not need to be prewashed to go in the dishwasher, unless whatever's on them is sticky or hard to get off...

Re oreos: the weird flavored/non-chocolate with double stuff regular creme are an ahomination that should have never been brough to life. I dont want a cherry flavored oreo, if I want oreos I want chocolate and frosting. My coworker brought in the mystery ones a few months ago... *gag* they were atrocious.

Re silverware: I don't have a dishwasher so we wash everything by hand. He puts soapy cups in mouth side down and then just sprays the bottom/sides never moving each item to get the soap stuck inside items or sandwiched between thing. @suzycupcake I have read that article. Have you? It says they don’t rot because it is a relatively dry food, and that even a homemade hamburger would do the same. I’m not sure what you thought it would convince me of. Dry foods don’t rot. I could put a raisin somewhere for decades and it wouldn’t rot, and there is no process done to it other than drying it.
The main reason I’m not to concerned is that I don’t frequently eat fried food, and McDonalds food isn’t processed more than any other fast food. I don’t keep a lot of processed foods around the house, and I believe that a healthy diet is mostly balanced nutrition, which does include a lot of unprocessed fruits and vegetables, but I’m not militant about it. Annnnnnd their breakfast is delicious.
@suzycupcake yea I have the daith piercing in both ears. Was a (failed) attempt a migraine relief. I have another ring that spirals and the 2 ends rest just out side my ear. Its my fav. Other side will be just a barbell once fully healed.
Re dishwasher - handle down, alternating spoon/fork in each slot (DH deals with it so on the occasion I have to, I just do what he likes)
Re Oreos - double stuffed OR thins in mint. Then there are the mint mini thins dipped in fudge. If you haven't tried them, you need to. And you'll thank me
Double stuff Oreos are too much filling. Apparently I am alone in this opinion.

Oh my god the dishwasher. I seriously spend more time reorganizing it because H has NO CONCEPT of putting things in a spot that makes sense. Our fridge is the same. It's not that hard, push it back! and our cupboard.. Super late to the party, but i vow to be here on time, with bells on next week. Also, i'm realizing how uncool i am because i had no idea scrunchies were back, i've seen Moana 1,469,346 times and still don't have an opinion, and i'm dying inside that some of you are sticking silverware in the dishwasher willy nilly. *shudder* Nice work on starting this ladies
I can't wait to see Deadpool 2, because Ryan Reynolds, yum. Maybe that's an unpopular opinion because I guess it's considered a superhero movie.
+1 for hating sushi. I'll solve the Oreo debate by saying all Oreos are gross
Give me the beach on an ocean any day and I'm happy. I'm so sick of snow, blech.
If MH loads the dishwasher, I'm satisfied. Too many things make me twitchy so I have to let that one go! Ours has a top rack that's for utensils only so I don't have to be OCD about how he loads them.
My aunt has a dishwasher with one of these and I'm so jealous. Silverware never seems to get clean in ours; the dishwasher is DH's chore and he runs it without silverware half the time and just handwashes them.
