TTC #2- announcement ideas

My husband and I are currently trying to conceive baby #2... I'm trying to think up a cute way to let our family know when we are pregnant. Anyone have any ideas?!? Im coming up blank. Id like to have my almost 3 year old involved, but not 100% neccessary if the idea is cute enough! Please help!!! Thx

This is my plan for if and hopefully when we are KU with #1. I bought three cute grandparents frames on clearance a couple of weeks ago. I plan on putting a little piece of paper that says Baby H...coming whenever. You could do the same, but maybe with a pic of your LO in a big sis/bro T-shirt in the frame? It'd be kind of fun to watch them figure it out!

You may get better ideas from the 1st/2nd Tri boards since they are living it right now.

I will probably do the "big bro" tshirt on DS either in person or in pictures (we live 14 hours away from family) OR have DS tell the family on the phone.

i love the idea of having your ds tell your family!  that is really cute

We're doing this too!  Haha, I put the frames under our bed for um, good luck.  Kinda silly, but it can't hurt right?

I had my little guy wear a t shirt that saise "Big Brother", it was fun watching and waiting for them to realize why he had that shirt on!! We are currently TTC #3 and I as thinking of announcing it by making a cake that has baby blue and pink frosting layers on the inside...
For my first I bough baby booties and bibs that said "I love Grandma and Grandpa" I gave that to our parents as a gift, the moms totally got it while the dads looked confused!

I bought the book my parents used to read to me every night when I was a little girl.  When I finally become pregnant, I'm going to wrap it up and give it to them.  In the inside cover I might write something sappy about how I can't wait for them to read it to their future grandchild.

With our first I was so sick in the beginning and it was right around the holiday so we bought frames that said "Grandkids" on them and I make a sign that said Baby (Insert Lastname) Coming in August 2010.

With this one I am going to make a shirt for DD that says "Big Sis" on it. Put our first U/S picture in a frame and take a picture of her with it. Then I will put them in frames again and give it to them that way along with having DD in thee shirt when we give it to them.

LOL...I have been TTC for over 2 years. I had all kinds of cute ideas that came up. And ya know what...when I finally got two lines, all I could do was stand there in shock, and then literally JUMP down the stairs to show my DH. My announcement sucked, but it's all I could do at the moment.

I am going to put DD in an I am the big sister shirt.  But I have noticed that they are hard to find in anything close to her size.

I am going to sent flowers to my mom's work (we work together). The flowers will be half pink, half blue (maybe yellow too). Where the card goes I am going to put the first ultrasound picture and an announcement.

I'm planning on getting my DD a "Big Sister To Be" shirt to tell DH when I get pregnant.  To tell some other family, I'm planning on sending them a picture of DD with that shirt on.  All anybody wants is more pics of DD anyway.  It'll be interesting to see how long it takes them to read the shirt!
