@ladygali so DS is 18 months but we have a hard time at dinner sometimes too. We started feeding him before we eat, at like 5pm, and we stay in the kitchen and talk to him and each other but we don’t sit at the table with him. He started looking for our reaction and it became a game for him. He would throw food, rub it in his hair, etc. Now it’s not perfect but he eats a little better. We also stop all snacks and drinks 2 hours before dinner. It’s ok to be frustrated. I hope this is a phase and it passes soon!
@mrsbubbles-2 thanks. I fear it isn’t a phase since it’s been like this for a couple years. I’m sure he does it all to see how we react, he’s not a dumb kid. Maybe we will try feeding him earlier and see. My guess is he’s so tired at dinner that he can’t focus, but I feel like we’ve tried almost everything. He just hates to eat because it’s boring.
That’s so frustrating @ladygali! My kinda are pretty good eaters but I’m currently having a struggle dinner too. It happens.
Does he snack? If so I’d cut it completely. I’ve found when my kids aren’t eating st dinner it’s bc they aren’t hungry enough to eat, they can afford to be picky. When I elim afternoon snacks it helps. And I’m kinda like, they don’t have to eat and I don’t make it a big deal but they don’t get ANYTHING ELSE. Not fruit, nothing.
So for me, making sure they are hungry and then taking away other options helps them be more willing to eat what’s in front of them. The only time I make a big deal is if there’s dessert (rare) bc they have to eat their dinner first (I made pie for pi day so that’s the struggle)
We found out today we’re having another boy! I think DS & I are the only ones excited about this. DH is disappointed. Everyone else we told, except for my dad, has said they’re disappointed we aren’t having a girl. Fuck them. I love being a boy mom, and I’m excited that DS will have a little brother. And no, we won’t be trying again for a girl. People suck.
Hi ladies! Trying to be present, but been a rough week at work and for news today my grandma was in a car accident. She’s okay - broken bones mainly, no life threatening injuries, but will need a few surgeries. I lost my other grandma just last month, so I’m just a ball of emotions and have been going back and forth with family members all day.
May be lurker status until things things calm down, but I am still here!
Guyz did the BGs actually delete the skull theory thread?? Man, that’s not the first time on this BMB right? In my recollection, that nevvver used to happen!

Nope that’s not the first time here, the last one was my last warning that I argued and never got an answer on.
Already?! Wow. I thought they usually rolled over at the beginning of the month. I know when I got my BFP the August board wasn't open yet in late November.

Maybe the BG’s are taking a spring break. lol. So, they are prepping earlier.

Here's a random request. It looks like we will be renting a town house starting mid-June and the owners are going to paint it before we move in. They have offered for us to have some input on colors which is one of my favorite tasks - I used to speak fluent Benjamin Moore. Who has favorite neutralish colors for living areas, bedrooms and of course the nursery?

Thank you for the love ladies. I talked to my mom last night and she is stressing about the long recovery my grandma has ahead - 82 with a shattered ankle and 2 broken bones in her leg. The ortho dr. said she's never seen one this bad... She had a first surgery last night on the tibia and fibula, the 2nd surgery for the ankle will be in a couple weeks when the swelling goes down.
All day yesterday I kept thinking it was Thursday, so when I realized today wasn't Friday I was extremely disappointed. Grrrr.
@ecwk I did appeal it but never got a response. If I end up getting a third warning I'll have to resurrect my second work laptop and make an AE. @juliebird6 GO WARRIORSSSSSSSS that's the only basketball I care about haha. Steph Curry is the most beautiful man and I want to marry him. Minor detail that he's already married to an amazing woman and I'm you know, not single either.
@lolog531 Go White!!!! Did you pick them to win it all? I did, but realistically, they'll probably lose to Duke (though it pains me to say that).
I was hoping you'd say that instead of Go Blue!! Haha. I did pick them to win it all! I think there is a good chance of them losing to Duke, but I just couldn't pick that.. I'm more of a fan by marriage since DH is an alum and I'm not originally from MI, but he'd probably not talk to me the whole tournament if I had them losing to Duke!
@lolog531 Yeah, I definitely couldn't put that on my bracket, but in my head, I know it's a very real possibility. One game at a time though - we have to beat a couple other teams first!
@juliebird6 We should have a sale alert thread but I think it keeps getting buried. I'm off to go shopping now.... I was really sad that Land of Nod merged within the Crate & Barrel site now because a lot of the stuff I really liked is gone or changed. Maybe PBK can help me out...
Got my Quad Screen results back!!! Negative! It is such a huge weight off my shoulders. Plus the nurse told me that the people in office were yelled at for sending my to the other office and not just sending me upstairs to the hospital's lab.
