@ecwk DS had a rough night, too. At some point DH is going to need to take over everything for him at night, and I’d rather that be BEFORE the new baby is here.
So I was looking for a sassy gif for you @calimom2524 and I came across this totally unrelated one but dagnabbit if this isn’t an ingenious idea:
Sorry @lalala2004 you’ve had a rough night too. The two year sleep regression is real! Hopefully they both start sleeping better soon, we do have five months until new babies are here so there is still hope!!
@LC12261012 I have a sister in law that is like this - she didn't seem to gain any weight and was just so gorgeous at her shower in a form fitting dress. She also didn't have many "gross" symptoms and felt generally well all her pregnancy. I definitely wish my experience was more like hers! It's just so crazy all the different experiences we have. I'm the terribly sick pregnant person who gains lots of weight and I don't look or feel cute. Anyway...I commiserate with you!
+1 for minivans! We got ours the day I got my BFP with DD2 (totally a coincidence)! My husband hated the idea of having one but now he sings it's praises
I went to our local BRU at lunch since they are closing next month. A lot is pretty picked over, but I did get a table and chair set (wood table and 4 chairs) for 50% off! We have an IKEA table with 2 chairs we got a couple years ago, but DS has pretty much beat it up, he's getting a little big for it and we got the $25 out of it for sure. This one will better suit him the next few years and DS #2 will benefit, too! I also got a new in box Chicco Liteway stroller for 40% off. We have the Britax Agile, which I'm a fan of, and even though it's lighter for it's size, it's just too damn bulky sometimes! I've been looking at FB garage sale sites, but I haven't seen any strollers in great condition for a good price. Figured I can't go wrong with a brand new one for almost half the price! I think it'll be easier in general to use. Anyone have one and like it?! I only did a little bit of research.
@lolog531 we used the chicco liteway for DS2 whenever he needed a stroller (which was like twice) and we liked it. I didn't have any complaints and it was easy to maneuver. Awesome find!
@calimom2524 good to know! I'm hoping BWing works better with this one since DS was never much of a fan. I feel like it'll be way easier with a toddler and infant, but for that price I couldn't pass it up!

I wore DS1 one time and it was a major fail. DS2 basically lived in the Tula, it made life so much easier with a toddler. I started wearing him in a RS when he was only a few weeks old so he was used to BW from the beginning. It was life changing haha
@patience7150 I guess so. I think they must own the machine that stays in the lactation rooms at those buildings and then each person gets their own set of parts to use. Pretty lame, but I work in a field deployed office so we definitely don't get as many perks as the actual corporate employees do.
@calimom2524 that's awesome that you'll be able to use your friend's pump!!

DS1 was never into BW either. But, DS2 didn't really have a choice and luckily, he took to it immediately. He would take naps so well in the ring sling. I almost always wore him while cooking dinner, etc. Hopefully I luck out with Baby #3 and she likes the ring sling, too. It's my favorite carrier.
The snapped sleepers are definitely more annoying MOTN than zippers or gowns. Somehow DH could NEVER line them up right - one of the snaps was always over at least one and then like a huge patch of leg was naked. Did this happen to anyone else? It's like he was trying to line them up wrong! I never had it happen but him it was every time, I could never understand it

YUP! A big gaping hole where they were all done wrong. I think I was guilty of this plenty too! Zippers all the way.
Who him was talking about the Ollie swaddle? Was it @livinthesunnylife? I was looking at it on amazon...what’s so good about it compared to say the Halo swaddle? Both with Velcro...is it just that it’s longer so they can grow in to it? Big price difference, just curious!! I’ll spend every penny I have to get some good sleep

I know it's been talked about on other threads - but what RS and Tula were your favorites? The only carriers I had were the K'tan, which we used a handful of times and the Ergo 360. I found the Ergo way too heavy of material since DS was born in May and it seemed bulky and the fabric didn't 'move' really well. I'm tempted to sell it on our local FB site and put the money towards something else.
@lolog531 I got a Tula woven r/s for this baby because I had one with DS2 and I loved it so I know it works for me. If heat is something you're concerned about they make a Tula called "coast" and it has a big mesh panel on the back so it's more breathable. I'm a Tula brandwhore but that's because it worked for me so I'm brand loyal.
@lolog531 there are definitely carriers with a more 'mesh' and lighter fabric for the hot months! The Lillebaby one is called the 'All Seasons' which is what I have.

oooh ooooh, I have a Tula Coast! Cause I live on the sun. It really does help! I also use those stay cool towels and put one between me and the kid (once they are older) to keep my body heat from heating him up. Team Tula forevers!
I am freaking out!!! The nurse from my OBS office just called and left me a message that the NIPT test is inconclusive because there wasn't enough fetal DNA. AGAIN!!! This is the second time I did it. I am totally freaking out because what the eff does that mean!?!?! Of course they are not answering the phone at the office now!
Thanks for the input ladies! With this one being due in late August, I'm not sure the heat will be a huge issue again, I just know the Ergo never felt comfortable, even outside of the heat! I like the style of the Tula for sure. I'm wondering if I can't find one that's a little cheaper to see if this one takes to it better before I invest the money? I'll have to start doing my research!
Ok so the nurse called back. She didn't realize that this was my second time doing this so they are bringing me in tomorrow am for a Quad Screen instead and now my AS is moved up a day and with a MFM doctor. I am still freaking though. She said that it isn't likely that the etopic twin is causing the inconclusive results and that maybe I over hydrated. Which to be honest I was crushing water because I am a had draw and was told to drink a ton of water. I feel like this pregnancy is just one crazy thing after another.
And now I'm annoyed. Our second set of guests have arrived (which DH neglected to tell me they're also staying for a week) today and made dinner reservations and all these plans for what they want to do tonight that they're not flexible on without saying anything to us. I have to get my nails done before parent teacher conferences (I have to shake hands all night and my hands are a disaster and totally unprofessional looking) and I don't want to be out all night when I have school tomorrow. So now I'm getting left home by myself so I can do what I need to do and my husband is going to be out all goddamn night
Edit to further rant- we were supposed to announce after my appointment tomorrow, but we still haven't done any pictures and I wanted to have our registry more or less done because relatives have already asked for it, but DH didn't like that I was working on it by myself. I've asked him a million times to help me with it this week and all he did was look at cribs, pick a discontinued one, and then totally checked out.
And I'm sure my house will be a goddamn disaster when I walk in tonight.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@Brezzy1928 Ugh, what a nightmare. I'm glad she called you back and they are changing things up to get this resolved. Keep us posted on how tomorrow goes.
@Brezzy1928 - Holy crap! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! So you go in tomorrow, are you going to the same place that did your draw before? Will you meet with the doctor or is it just blood draw. Big hugs, this is so unfair that you have to go through this again. Keep us posted, I'm thinking of you.
So sorry @Brezzy1928 that is for sure stressful! But sounds like you downed too much water!! Try not to stress too much. I know that’s so much easier said than done. Big hugs! You and baby will be just fine! Keep us updated!
Annoyyyyyying @jsnakehole!!! I’m irritated for you! Did you guys not get slammed with snow there? Enjoy PT conferences
ETA agree with @calimom2524 babywearing on a budget is great! So weird to think we could all be in so many of the same FB groups but not know it!!

I'm sorry Brezzy... I hope it was just the water like you said. At least they are moving things up for you. I do remember when I was researching NIPT some women just said their fetal DNA was just always too low whenever they took the test for whatever reason. I don't think it means anything bad or anything like that - but it would still be disappointing to find out they don't have your results for you.
I also agree with babywearing on a budget and Tula bst sites, I got a couple of great things from those groups!
Yesterday i I just booked a trip to FL to visit my best friend in May! It’s a tradition for me and my DD and it was especially important to go because this might be the last year we take a vacation together, thank you tax money!!
I just updated appointment thread re: my AS from this afternoon but you guys.. I remained strong and am still team Green!
Luckily I had an awesome tech who was so excited for me to be team green and she herself had FIVE kids without knowing the sex of a single one. She looked away during all her ultrasounds in case she would be able to even glimpse the sex in passing since obviously she knows what to look for.
She did write the sex down and put it in a sealed envelope that I'm hoping I never have to open. Only wanted it just in case something were to go down medically with Grandpa who we will be naming baby after (if it's a boy) who is 91.
Thanks Ladies! Hopefully it is that I just drank way too much water.
@mrsbubbles-2 I am going right to my OBs office to get the blood drawn. I had both tests done at Quest because the girl at the OBs office couldn't get a vein. It is in a hospital so if they can't get it tomorrow I am demanding they send my up to the lab or something. I don't think I will be meeting the MFM tomorrow.
@Brezzy1928 holy cow! I'd be worried too. I'm glad they're seeing you sooner, fx everything goes smoothly and you find out ggoes I'll be thinking about you
@ecwk I've thought the same thing about how we may (and probably Are)in some of the same groups already when talking cloth diapers with some of you I begin to wonder if some of us are in those same groups
I have a tula standard and toddler we will use again but I really wish I had a lillebye. I never could get the hang of my ring sling Speaking of cloth diapers I have a Nicki's Martha cover and bib that I'm not going to be using, still nwt. I'm wondering if I should hang onto it and sell it in a year or 6 months, or trade it for something else
For all you babywearers who want to try something new make sure to look for a local lending library too! Ours you can rent them, and they have clinics where you can bring yours in and they will show you how to wrap or adjust straps and stuff as needed.

@brzvice - I saw your update on the appointments thread and was going to ask! Love that you're keeping the envelope sealed. And super duper happy that you had a great experience!
@Brezzy1928 - I have everything crossed that they get a great vein for you tomorrow! Will be stalking for an update
@brzvice Wow - such strength!! I admire you sticking to your Team Green plan So glad it all went well!
@brezzy1928 Oh man, so crappy to have that happen twice!!! Hopefully it'll all get straightened out with the quad screen and you'll get some results. Do you know what company your doc was using for the NIPT? Maybe they're just a crappy company that this happens a lot with...?
@Brezzy1928 Ugh I am so sorry, that is soooo frustrating and annoying - but better an issue with the test itself than with the results, and sounds like now they will give you even more screening. The wait is the worst though so that aspect totally sucks.
