We just had some work done on our kitchen and it’s looking awesome. I am planning to paint the legs of our dining room table and the backs/legs of the chairs to match better and to save some $$$ I’ve painted a couple of things already so pretty excited to get started!
(And this is totally kind of not related, but I used to work in a restaurant where 'CFS' stood for chicken fried steak so that's what i've been calling your LO in my head )
Haha this baby has so many names already. Cora Fiona Seven Chicken Fried Steak.
@mrsbubbles-2 I am hoping to get a call this afternoon, I know she's in the office all day. The tech did say the only measurable possible cause of bleeding was a small spot where the placenta is attached to the uterine wall. That's not official, of course, until a radiologist gets eyes on it, but I'm taking it as a good sign. I am also hoping that means the SCH has resolved!
Me: 28, DH: 40 Married 9/28/13 DS born 11/12/15 EDD 8/13/18
NT scan went well! Tech said that the measurement was really small so that's a relief. She also offered a guess at the sex and said she's 90% sure it's a boy. DH doesn't want to get his hopes up yet, but we'll know soon enough.
Also between 12w quad screen and NIPT they took like 10 vials of blood today. Good lord. Wish they would have weighed me after they drained me dry instead of before ;-)
Seconding @mrsbubbles-2 about a weekly appointment thread. It would be nice to have that separate so we don't have to wade through 4 pages of randoms to see an update!
@calimom - imagine the nicknames! Does your SO know that we've unofficially named your baby lol! @delujm0 - I always love to see when techs take a guess to see if they're right! So glad it went well! @lakesideknitter FX that it's resolved! Keep us posted when you hear! @ecwk - That's so awesome! Can't wait to hear about the finished remodel!
AFM my computer is sooooo slow today so I'm just checking in occasionally. It's almost like work doesn't want me bumping today (whaaaat?)
But Carters / Osh Kosh is having their big President's Day sale - 50-75% off plus 25% off with the code presday. I know it's too early for some to start shopping but DS is growing like a weed and I might as well grab a few pairs of footie jammies for this one!
@mrsbubbles-2 haha no I haven't told him about our future child's name yet. He would find it hilarious though.
I received an application from a woman named Candellina this morning and she pointed out she goes by Candy. I did text him that that name is a FIRM no lol
For everyone who got good news, I’m happy for y’all!
AFM, I’m bumping from my phone while subbing at the high school. The kids are being wonderful, I’m showing a documentary all week, and I have 3 prep periods. I need to bring something to do for the rest of the week because I’m bored out of my mind. But we’re busy a lot in the evenings this week, so I’m glad this week won’t be exhausting.
@calimom2524 so glad the baby and you are okay!! @Firemanswife11 I also suffer from migraines and they started when I was pg with DS. I see lights, sound and light sensitivity, nausea, intense headache... it’s the worst. I use ice pack, caffeine, lay down in a dark room and a couple essential oils that really help since I can’t take Tylenol. When not pg I do ibuprofen.
Im at LAX, layover in denver and then home! With the time change I’m not home until after DS is in bed. As sad as I am to leave, I’m excited to get home to my boys. I’m not happy about going home to snow though. Ugh
The crazy parents emailed me saying their daughter has the flu, but the doctor but her on Tamiflu, so she should be in school tomorrow. It took every ounce of will power to not write back 'the fuck she isn't'. If this kid shows up, she's getting marched right to the nurse.

alinafed I never heard of them but, it sounds neat. Let us know how it goes.
I wasn't sure where to put this since it is a BF but it is Tuesday. Anyway I might flip on a co-worker is she doesn't answer me! I have called her 4 times and sent her 2 emails and I am getting no response. All she has to do is answer if she did or did not do something. My office is split into two sides and because I am the receptionist I cannot leave my desk unless someone else covers for me so I can't just go see her. I sent another co-worker over to see if she was even at her desk - She was. So she is just totally ignoring me! She is usually slacking in her job to begin with and gets away with a ton of crap so it angers me even more. Sorry end rant!
@calimom2524 Oh I am willing to bet she didn't. I asked another worker what she was doing over there and the reply was"Typing. But sometimes she doesn't answer her phone." Umm what? That is her job. She is a secretary! I did my part and if it doesn't get done it isn't on me.

You should reply with your school's policy. Tamiflu definitely does not make a child (or anyone) not contagious, as I'm sure you know. Is the school policy 24-hours fever-free without medication? That's what our day care is. Regardless, I'm sorry you have to deal with those morons!
@F47 I'm going to Disney World over spring break for DSS 18th birthday. I'm pretty excited, especially since my doctor gave me the ok to ride rollercoasters! Do you have any Disney advice?
@derbysquirrel I have TONS of advice. Have you ever been? Where are you staying? What parks will you visit? You all set with the fast pass system?
Also, I never even thought to ask my doc for the ok for roller coasters. I can live without the ones I’ve done a million times, but I’m so sad to not be able to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I’ve only done it once and it’s so good.
@F47@derbysquirrel A lot of the roller coasters there say to not ride them if you are pregnant. It's always on the app or at the sign at the beginning of the queue. Some (like Big Thunder Mountain Railway and Seven Dwarves Mine Train) it's totally understandable, but there are some (mainly the one we have here in California Adventure's Cars Land - Radiator Springs Racers) that aren't jerky, so even though it says you shouldn't ride them, if you're having a normal pregnancy it probably wouldn't hurt anything.

Hi everyone. I’ve had a busy couple of days and am so behind. Creepy internet hugs all around.
Disney also scares me. If I ever go, I’m going with my bff and making her plan it all, lol.
I fell down my stairs the other day and hyper extended my right leg behind me while trying to catch myself and also not drag DS down with me since he was gripping my hand. Now my leg hurts like hell and I’m generally exhausted. I need a nanny and a housekeeper.
Ouch @ladygali! I hope your leg feels better asap. I could also make great use of a nanny and a housekeeper.

@mrsbubbles-2 thanks. I think the muscle is just stretched and there’s no bruising, so I don’t know that it warrants a doctor visit. Mostly I’m feeling sorry for myself, lol.
@F47 We're staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. I like that they have a kitchen so we can order groceries and make our own breakfast and snacks. I set up our fast passes, but I really wish I didn't have to do it so far out. We are going to do a water park one day, but I'd like to know the forecast before I have to decide which day to do it. I don't trust the forecast from 30+ days out. We're hitting all of the parks plus Blizzard Beach or maybe the newly renovated Typhoon Lagoon. We have a chance to hit one park twice, and I set up fast passes for a return to Magic Kingdom on the last day, but since we are a group of 4 adults, I'm not sure that is the right decision. I think Animal Kingdom or Epcot might be better choices. I have been once before for my 12th birthday, so it's been just over 20 years. I'm sure much has changed!
I have a low risk pregnancy, and my doctor said there is no way that a roller coaster will dislodge the baby at 20 weeks, and it won't induce labor at that point either. I plan on doing everything unless something hurts or feels uncomfortable. My husband thinks the ride operators might try to stop me since I'll look pregnant, but I don't think anyone would be comfortable making that assumption in case I'm just fat. I think I'll just act offended by the insinuation if anyone says anything.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
@derbysquirrel, I may ask my doctor. I think the problem is if the ride have to stop suddenly, because the safety bars are across the belly. If you were jolted and that bar pushed into the belly, that could cause a problem. Unlikely, sure. I’d much prefer to ride mine train! I don’t mind skipping the others, but I’ve been to Disney an embarrassing amount of times.
Epcot is so great. Would your SS like walking around the countries and eating? I loved it by the time I was 18, but everyone is different. Epcot is my fave, but since I’m going with three small kids and only have 3 Park days, we’re just doing Magic Kingdom twice and Hollywood Studios once.
@alinafed H and i used to do a Fantasy Box - which was like a monthly sexy-times box. Is that what you mean? Or this is more PG rated? We don't do anymore, though.
We also do Snackcrate - which is tons of fun. Every month you get snacks from a different country.
All of this talk of Disney makes me hope that my kiddo never wants to go. I don't like rides, I don't like crowds of people, I don't really care for amusement parks in general. Humbug. lol
When my parents dragged me to Disney in Florida when I was around 10, the only thing I enjoyed was Epcot and eating at all of the "different countries". But man was it ridiculously expensive. I remember my dad about having a stroke at an $8 Bud Light. Busch Gardens and Sea World were infinitely better than Disney for me as a kid. Besides, I got to watch rhinos mating on the "savannah". ^^
There's a nice amusement park here in Southern Indiana called Holiday World that's family owned and ran, and it's really nice. Everyone raves about their rollercoasters. My husband's company rents the entire park for a day in the fall for the employees and their families. We usually go with my bestie, she and my husband ride all the rides while I spend all day with a sack of quarters in the SkeeBall parlor. :P
My SS did a year long exchange in Thailand his junior year, so I thinks it's safe to assume he'll enjoy seeing the "countries" at Epcot. He now has friends all around the world, and I'm sure picking up treats from their countries will thrill him. Eating is his second favorite activity, lol.

I just told my first work person and it felt soooo good. We were chatting and he told me him and his wife are expecting their first in July (I am SO happy for him, they've been trying for a while!!!) so I just kinda blurted it out.
@neeraja_k I looove holiday world! Haven't been there in at least 5 years, but it was usually my family's summer vacation growing up. Such a great park!
@ecwk@melissaf22 Ha! It was a variety of stuff really - the first few were like full of GTKY and GTK each other kinds of activities, then after that it was really random. Sometimes it was lingerie (kind of cheap, of course - cute panties or something like that), lube, little mini/travel vibrators and stuff. Sometimes there was an activity or a role play you were supposed to do. Most of the time we'd just say screw that and just use the products they sent. And sometimes we'd just open the box and laugh and not use any of it, but it was still fun.
