Heading to Phoenix today!! I am from Alberta, Canada, and we just got dumped on with snow the past few weeks and it has been FREEEEEZING!! (Like -5 to -10 fahrehnheit) so I am so excited for the warm weather!!!! The only thing I am nervous for is bringing our one year old on the plane and keeping her entertained for 3 hours Should be an experience..... lol
I tried twice last night to use the doppler and failed both times. I tried lower by my pubic bone, then up a little, to both sides and dead center and nothing. I don't have a ton of gel since my co-worker just gave me what she had left, so didn't want to waste any more of it. I'm just trying to be patient until my appointment today. I feel like I've waited forever for it! It's not until 2pm, so I'm sure this morning will drag on!
@lolog531 Even the doctor was unable to find the heartbeat using the doppler at my 12 week appointment. So I had an ultrasound, and the tech had no problem so don't worry
@lolog531 Best of luck with the appointment today - can't wait for a great update!
@mrsbubbles-2 I also have my NT scan today - also very nervous! We will be fine! Can't wait for your update! Hugs!!
@kayldawn You'll be fine! Snacks, stickers, books, download something onto the ipad/phone. You'll be good. I've flown long haul many times with DS and while it's a PITA for me since I have to constantly keep him occupied, it's always been ok! Good luck!
AFM - swear I just felt that old familiar rolling feeling in my belly. Could be gas, maybe, maybe not! I'm just hoping it was baby
I'm back ladies! Over the weekend, my app wasn't updating so I couldn't tell what was new stuff I hadn't read yet and then I got overwhelmed and just stayed off TB until today. But here I am. We finally announced on Facebook, so now a bunch of my co-workers know. I'm so happy to not have to try to hide why I look/feel like shit and am a bitch to everyone anymore. Looks like I didn't miss anything too crazy. Hope you all had a good weekend!
I told my boss today and I thought he was going to cry. He's not an emotional guy at all but he knows we have been in treatment the past couple of years so he is really happy for me. It was so great to share with him.

I got a terse email from a parent (not the crazy ones) saying their kid got a cold because I took the kids out for recess on a cold day. I really wish I could send them an email saying how fucking stupid that is and that colds are caused by viruses and their kid was probably better off in fresh air than cooped up in our germ infested room, but I can't.

@ecwk - Yay for both of us! Can't wait to hear your update! I love seeing updated US pics when everyone gets their NT scan. Baby goes from being a little bean to looking like a baby! Hugs right back! And omg that rolling feeling! Best feeling in the world
@juliebird6 The app is beyond annoying, I don't get on here most weekends because I just can't with the glitches and it kills my battery. So happy you're back and yay for announcing!
@laurad75 - So so so excited for you! Letting the cat out of the bag at work is such a huge milestone!
@ecwk and @mrsbubbles-2 can’t wait to hear about your NT scans! I loved that one with DS because we could see him so well!
@lolog531 good luck at your appointment today! Can’t wait for the update!
@jsnakehole is stuff like that that makes me not miss teaching. That’s just crazy. I hated emails like that because I never quite knew how to respond... Besides something like this which is not appropriate.
@melbel0824@amac12999 after massive eye rolling, I just told my AP. She said to forward the message to her and she'll get back to them...around Friday, when she has time.

Ugh @jsnakehole I don't know how you handle those parents. My ex inlaws used to give me shit if I brought my kids over to their house without hats when it was in the 60s because they were going to get sick. It was a constant battle. To make it worse my ex MIL was a nurse, shouldn't she know you don't get sick from being cold?
I have my first OB appointment today, so I'm super excited about that. Bummed that H can't make it though. I'm also supposed to be getting my NIPT results back today and I'm a nervous wreck. My anxiety is through the roof - I keep checking my online test results to see if they've come in. Soooo stressful. I may eat a bag of chips and chocolate cake for lunch.
Can't wait to hear the results of all the appointments today! Hope you guys all get some reassurance and some time seeing or listening to your babies!
Wish I had a badge lately that said, "not sick, just pregnant." Someone catches me dry heaving in the bathroom and tries to send me home from work? Point to badge. Someone says I looked exhausted? Point to badge. Can't breathe and blow my nose noisily? You get the picture. People at work know, but I think so many people have been sick and I look so crummy that they are starting to assume. Promise I'm not contagious! At least I don't think that's how pregnancy works...
There were girl scouts in front of the grocery store the other day. I'm currently eating Thin Mints for second breakfast. First breakfast was also Thin Mints.
Can't wait to hear all of the results from the appointments today!!!

Now you are speaking my language. I have 2 boxes of thin mints in the freezer. I'm thinking one will be lunch today.

Had an ultrasound at 11 weeks this morning and everything looks good! Strong heartbeat and measuring on track! Now I finally feel some relief that we can tell people and not be so nervous.
@calimom2524 I cannot wait to get my hands on some thin mints. I'm going to need to track down some girl scouts ASAP. And not tell DH how many boxes I buy.
I have a bitchfest but it's not Monday so it's going here. We have two different accountants and they are both stationed in different states. They are giving conflicting instructions on a new requisition and purchase order policy they recently rolled out and I'm about to throw one of them through the wall. I don't know who to listen to and I just want to do it right so I don't have to do it again. Why can they not just communicate with each other before telling us we're doing it wrong when we're really doing it the way the other one told us to. UGH.
I just did a lesson about mass and had my students write a sentence using the word mass. One of my students wrote "Mrs. Snakehole's mass is very heavy. I know that because she is very big."
i was was going to say I want Girl Scout cookies too, but not anymore!

UO? FFFC? I hate Girl Scout cookies. Lol. I used to be a GS. And can’t stand them.
Oh oh oh and I believe September BMB (maybe Oct) had a funny FFFC. And one girl says “So much for this being flame free,” and I’m thinking she must be new here. Lol.
FTR - what she said was really messed up. Like seeing the losses on the board were bad for her mental health. Wow.

And here I thought we were going to be besties. Just kidding. I actually only like Thin Mints, I have zero interest in any of the others.
Can't wait to hear how the appointments went today. I have my next one on Thursday. I am really hoping I am going to get to hear the heartbeat and get a script for the NT scan.
I ordered GS Cookies from my niece in Texas and have absolutely now idea when my sister will send them. I might have to wait until Easter when my mom comes back from visiting them. DH did by some soft chocolate chips last night that I plan on devouring when I get home.
I put slippers in my bag on Sunday to wear at my friends house during the game. I never took them out and I am currently sitting at my desk wearing them. My feet are thanking me!
Mmmmm cookies! Ours (CT) don’t come till March, ugh. Samoas are my fav! And thin mints in the freezer. And Tagalongs. And omg I’m in trouble when baby girl is a Girl Scout! Lol
had my 12w prenatal today (except I’m almost 14, off kilter). Even though I’m feeling more secure my goal brain acts up before a hb check. Heard it nice and strong in the Doppler!
I have a cold now abd my eyes and face and shoulders/neck hurt. Mostly just sinus pressure. Kinda just want to lay down in bed with this is us but library books are due (and with a probable snow day tomorrow we’ll need new ones) and the house is trashed. Off we go...

Hi ladies! Appointment went well! She couldn’t find the HB on Doppler, but used a handheld US instead, so I got to see the baby! HR at 159 (158 a couple weeks ago). I have a tilted uterus, which makes it difficult with the Doppler early on I guess. I couldn’t find it last night using it at home, so I feel better about that now! She basically told me not to use it again for a few weeks so I don’t freak out since Im only 10w4d today. We talked about VBAC vs repeat c/s and she’s supportive either way. I’m 95% sure I’m doing c/s though, so we talked through that and I feel good. I had GD last time, so I have to do the test in the next couple of weeks. Ughhhhh. I’m really hoping I can avoid it this time. Pretty uneventful, but I feel better! NT scan is in 2 weeks and the A/S isn’t til 4/17, which seems soooo far away.
I've contracted my SIL twice now about GS cookies, but she's yet to get back to me. I don't want to nag at her, but dammit, I want some cookies! I'm about to buy from whichever scout I see first, and my niece will lose out.

I hope everyone else’s appointments went well! I’m still knee deep in month end reports at work and digging myself out of the whole from sickness last week here. So sorry if I’m MIA a bit!
Ugh, I hate Girl Scout cookies. Yuck. But all this cookie talk makes me want to clean the kitchen and make chocolate chip cookies. I finished my Chips Ahoy a few days ago, and I’ll likely be home with DS tomorrow for a snow day. Must. Have. Sugar.
I'm trying so hard to be good on the sweets front, since I failed my 1hr glucose test and have the 3hr this Thursday, and yet it's all I want so far this week. Now all of this cookie talk...I secretly hate you all (no not really).
