Well I got really lucky. When I called the nurses line to ask about diclegis, she said they just got some samples! So I’m going today to pick them up today. She said she was giving me enough to last the rest of first Tri, which I’m really thankful is almost over.
Of course, she said it usually gets better at 9 weeks and clears up by the end of 1st Tri, but my nausea got worse at 9 weeks, so I guess I’m not normal?
I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and I feel like my nausea is coming back with a vengeance. I had like a week of feeling better, and then the past few days were like

@lalala2004 My nausea (while not nearly as bad as yours) was worst from 8-11 weeks, so I think that is bunk. I don't think there is any "normal." SO happy you are getting samples, I hope you start feeling better ASAP!

@lalala2004 I hope the meds help you. My nausea definitely got worse around 9-10w. Now I’m mostly ok in the morning, but I feel like crap in the afternoon & evening.
@lalala2004 my naush is still here at 10+ I hope the meds work! I’m on it too and because it makes me so tired (great night sleep though) and I thought I was better I skipped last night (I only take at night because I NEED TO SLEEP after taking it) and let me tell you, mouth sweats all day during work today. So, I’ll be taking it again this evening! Ugh, cmon second tri!!!!

At what point did all of you call to talk about needing meds for nausea? I’m in the same boat of my nausea getting worse instead of better. I’m 12 weeks now, and evening are so rough from a nausea stand point, and I work afternoons and evenings. I feel like I should be able to tough it out because I should be almost at the end of this. However, I sometimes think wouldn’t life be so much nicer if you didn’t feel like crap all the time and just called and got some meds. I’m really hesitant to take meds, but I’m getting frustrated and still losing weight.
@kc0711 One night I was laying on the couch, and the dog walked by me and passed gas. I was throwing up before I could even sit up. I called the next day and begged for Rx meds. I’d also lost over 10lbs from not being able to eat.
@lalala2004 my doctor said that weeks 9 and 10 are usually the worst for nausea, so I wouldn't be worried yet. Definitely hope the Diclegis works for you like it has for me!
@kc0711 I was trying to tough it out too, but my doctor asked me if i was having nausea at my appt at 9.5 weeks and then basically told me that there was no need to "suffer through" when meds really can help. I would call and just see. Or you could try the over the counter stuff first--B6 or B6+unisom.

Diclegis is category A, so you really shouldn’t have any qualms about taking it. Or you could get unisom and b6 which is basically the same thing. No sense in being miserable, especially if you’re losing weight.
Thanks for the responses! I have to travel for work all weekend, but if it isn’t any better I’ll call Monday. I’ve lost 5-6 lbs at this point, but have no vomiting, I just don’t want to eat anything. I know I need to eat for the baby, but man nothing sounds good! But all of you are right, it isn’t worth being miserable.
@kc0711 With my first pregnancy I kept trying to just suffer through it because I knew the end had to be near.... but I was super nauseous until around 20 weeks. If I had known it would last that long, I would have gotten meds way earlier. Everyone's pregnancy is different and you don't know for sure how long MS will be!
That’s awesome @lalala2004!! Hope it helps you. I always heard ms peaks around 9w which to me implies it’s still bad after that. I’m 12w now and mine is trending down but definitely some days are still bad. The last 3 were awful and I was dry heaving but today I feel good - thankful for that bc I have too much shit to get done to feel like shit.
