I got the results from my Panorama test today and it's a boy! This is our first, so either sex is a happy surprise. We had names picked out for each, so now that we know it's a little guy, we also know his name!
@amac12999 I’m in the same boat with not feeling as connected to this pregnancy. I was feeling so terrible, it’s nice to hear others are in the same boat. It’s exciting seeing the little one during ultrasounds, but I just remember being pregnant with DS and always holding my belly and talking to him. Not doing any of that this time around. Maybe it’ll be different once I’m showing more, who knows!
Thank you all!!! I’m trying to hold back a bit since with August she will wear summer stuff for like 6w. I need to focus on her fall wardrobe
ive had a coming home outfit in mind though, it’s not out yet but a little soft bubble romper from Boden with Dino’s embroidered on the top... she’s coming hone to 3 brothers who can easily also wear Dino’s
@alinafed so fun!!! It’ll be fun to share this journey have you found that your symptoms were different this time? Mine have been BIG time (morning sickness which I didn’t have with the boys) - interesting to see an owt come true.
So funny - I do find that but not the same way. I had pretty bad morning sickness with the boys, but it hadn't been too bad so far this pregnancy. Somehow it's gotten much worse week 12 and 13 which is annoying. But anyway yeah just different in that way in that with the boys it was consistent. I have been really turned off of chocolate which is a weird one (and was odd around Christmas - still haven't eaten any of my chocolate from my stocking). Way more tired and I find my bump shape is really different this time (all around my middle not just pointing out).
@alinafed my sis has 2 boys and had terrible ms with them and she’s due 8/1, willfind out at anatomy scan. she’s had zero ms this time so if tell be interesting to see if she has a girl since that would also correlate with the ms!
im carrying ery very low,for me. Likely more just bc it’s baby 4 etc
@alinafed I’m having major chocolate aversions too! You aren’t alone. All my clearance Xmas chocolate is sitting untouched. And I’m talking the good stuff like Lindt truffles.
@pghctwife congrats on your girl!!!!!!!! I’d be so insanely thrilled having one after 3 boys! I only have one kid, a son, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed super tight for a girl this time.
@dirtanddiamonds it’s where a bunch of people who don’t know/refuse to acknowledge the difference between sex and gender stand in a circle and act like jerks.
I was Team Green with DS. I loved it! I plan on finding out as soon as possible with this one though. I'm a planner. We are so busy as it is now with work, 4 kids in all different directions, now house and car shopping... etc. I feel like knowing the sex will help me to plan better, plus my friends are already offering me stuff, since I sold all my baby gear this summer. The other reason we want to find out is that we feel it will help our kids connect to this new and unexpected addition to our (blended) family.
His three plus my one; we are all excited to welcome a little one!
So I have a blended family too - 2 step kids a DS and DD. Everything thought for sure it was going to be a boy and when we found out it's a girl (YAY!) I think they were a little disappointed. We like to camp and dirt bike...well so will this little gal! Hoping I can figure out how to help the family all connect.

Those stereotypes are so silly. I have three girls. And they range from full on tomboy to girly girl. All raised by me. You could have a boy who didn’t want to get dirty. Kids are who they are. It’s so neat watching them become who they are gonna become.
Found out today we are having our fourth girl. Lol. I’m so excited. SO is so excited. I was hoping for a girl. I just love my girls. So far no crappy comments from people. Haha. But I haven’t told my mom yet. Most importantly, baby looks healthy. Thank God!!
My FIL was shitty enough to reply with maybe the next one will be a girl. We are thrilled to be having a second boy, probably aren’t having a third, and if we did we’d just want another healthy kid. People can be such jerks!
@amac12999 those are the only comments I get “maybe this time you’ll get lucky and get a girl.”
I have a feeling it’s going to be our 3rd boy though and it annoys me how many people will *feel sorry* for us.
Isn’t that some crap. I heard that sooo much with #3. Like. I’m cool with whatever genitalia my kid has. And it’s such a crappy thing for people to get gender disappointment when they aren’t even the parents. Lol. Jerks.
I'm getting the same crappy comments from crappy people about the sex of the baby since I have two girls. I'd love a boy but honestly I couldn't care less as long as the baby is healthy. Cheers, ladies! That reminds me, I miss my wine!!!!!!!!!
We got the call today. Funny thing is my husband was off today because he didn’t feel well, so we were both here to receive the call.
We are having a BOY!
I am terrified. I didn’t have a preference, but I feel like I am a girls mom. This is definitely going to be an adjustment for me. We are ecstatic though because we have a daughter, so this will be a nice addition to our little family. I just have to wrap my mind around this news.
@calimom2524 thank you. I am going to go look at boy clothes. Hooefully this will help me adjust.
The Gap. I just love their little boy clothes and they hold up through a million washings. Little Man is a walking Gap ad.
I second this. Their infant size pants and shorts are the best! I wish they came in toddler sizes for DS because they looked so comfy and held up so well.
