@northbeach3 Thanks so much for the spreadsheet - awesome idea Also, that pressure when peeing thing is exactly how I felt last time, I think it is exactly that - the ovaries are swelling and pushing against the bladder (icky but manageble x)
@hoping4lilbit Sorry your numbers aren't what you want yet - FX you get good news on Thursday
@pnwcoffeeminer Welcome! I didn't actually realise 38 is AMA - I'm in there with ye guys too. And I also feel a little underinformed and constantly lost (and this is my second time - I feel I should know better!). Don't worry about jumping in, sometimes it's necessary to trust that the experts know what they're doing. Actually from reading other posts I realise that I definitely do not ask enough questions during this process. I'm not sure if that's just me or the way things are done here (I'm in Ireland), but they don't really give details - I've no idea about AFC, FSH or AMH. My RE told me at my last consultation I had the egg-count of a 25 year old (I had to hold myself back from saying - 'Why Thank you - if only I had the complexion of one' ). And regarding follies, they just told me I was doing 'great' - although at ER day the doc did go through some numbers. This time I'm going to ask everything - I'm going to annoy the h*ck out of them! Regarding transfer, my clinic only transfer one - particularly if it's high quality, if they are medium quality they will transfer 2 - and while these decisions are ultimately up to us, they are not shy about giving strong advice as to what they think. As others have said, I believe each case is different.
Best of luck to you ladies that are going for ER today xx
AFM, I went in to the nurse today, just for bloods to get thyroid checked as it tends to be under-active. I was expecting a scan - but apparently not. Also I went to sort out payment, and found out that I get refund from my last cycle as I didn't have embryos to freeze for the year, and I don't have to have viral tests done this time, so payment is €900 less than I thought. Not the worst appointment I've ever had! (and I'll take the good ones when they come!)
Good luck everyone x

Hi ladies! Does anyone have a retrieval today? I might be triggering tonight! They saw 9 mature and 3 14s that they think might catch up. My lining was 12 which is amazing because I’ve never gotten above a 7 or 8! The nurse said she thinks the dr will probably give it another day and trigger Thursday for a Saturday retrieval. Getting excited/nervous!

Omg. So my nurse called in endometrum last week for me for after my ER. I hadn't heard from CVS yet, so I called them to see when to expect it. The lady on the phone says 'yea, we were going to call to see if you want it since it's kind of expensive'. I asked how much it was. It's $100. I literally laughed and said 'I'm doing IVF. That's the cheapest drug I'm on right now. Fill it.' #ivftales
@kiwi2628 #truth It was nice of them to try and be considerate but just goes to show how ridiculous it is that we have to pay so much for treatment that should be covered! You’re getting so close!!! How are you feeling?
@beachbunnyxo123 my head is splitting. I go to sleep with a headache. I wake up with a headache. The headache gets worse through the day. My pelvis feels heavy and I am feelings twinges all the time in my ovaries. Also my coworkers are fucking with me (in a loving way). One of them made me watch the first 8 minutes of up yesterday to see when I would cry. I made it 3 minutes before I was bawling. At work. So that's been fun. But overall, it's been much easier than I thought it would be and I really am having minimal side effects.
@kiwi2628 I laughed at my desk about you coworkers making you cry. Even though you say it’s minimal it still sounds brutal!! I’m glad I took off next week! Hope you’re out of the pain of it soon!! Hugs friend

@beachbunnyxo123 lol, i had to look it up b/c i wasnt sure... i'm also doing antagonist using cetrotide to suppress and gonal F for FSH.
@efavell02 fantastic news! i know you were a bit down a few days ago, but it sounds like the meds did their thing and you've got a nice cushy lining! can't believe your trigger might be today! the end of this week is going to be a big one for a lot of us!!
@kiwi2628 i LOLd too... $100 seems like nothing relative to the other meds. in fact, i've been trying to get an itemized receipt from my pharmacy so i can apply for the rebates but all they sent was a receipt with the total. i only know the Gonal F cost about $450 for a 450 iu bottle b/c i had to order one more. oye ve!
@hoffmanr7@halfanewt best of luck today! rooting for mature follies (which i had to look up what made it mature)... you want them to have a polar body that indicates they've undergone meiosis!
@J1006 how are things going J? have you had your follow up appt yet? any news on follie development? rooting for you.

@hoffmanr7 7 quality eggs is better than 15 poor quality. You're young, so the chance of having a higher number of quality eggs is much better. FX a bunch of them make it to blasts!

@hoffmanr7 I agree with what @kiwi2628 said. Quality over quantity. There have been plenty of success stories on these boards from women who have gotten less, so don't feel too discouraged. FX that you and @halfanewt get great fert reports tomorrow. Hope you both are recovering well.

Realistically that means we have 5 mature (my RE says that anything over 15 48 hours or more before a trigger is considered mature), and we are hoping at ER to have 7 mature at least, 9 if we are lucky, and 10 if we are reaaaaally lucky. Not great by any means, but I am a poor responder, so its leaps beyond last time and better than I expected, so I am happy! The plan is to have me come in tomorrow for another u/s and BW and if they can, push me until Saturday; they want to to allow the 12 and 13's some time to grow. The goal is to trigger Saturday for a Monday ER, but it depends on tomorrows scan. Here's hoping!
@kiwi2628 FANTASTIC news!!!! I know how worried you were about having a repeat of last cycle but it looks like your ovaries really like the MDL protocol! I'm so happy for you! I know everyone's situation is different, but just for comparison, at trigger I had 11-12 that they expected to be mature by ER with only about 4 more small follicles visible. At ER I got 22 eggs and 18 of them were mature which was pretty surprising. So I think it's entirely possible that you can get more eggs than the u/s is showing right now, especially if you are stimming for a couple more days.

U/S this morning was positive. (Sigh of relief) Two more days of stims, an u/s on Saturday and likely trigger on Saturday as well. Possible retrieval on Monday.
@hoping4lilbit so happy to hear that, was thinking about you since you're close in stim dates. are they keeping the dosage the same? sounds like you and @kiwi2628 will be ER buddies!
Triggering went well! I just went for it and am honestly surprised I wasn’t more hesitant stabbing mused with the giant needle. I think it’s safe to say my needle phobia is cured.
I need a little advice advice from the ladies who have already had their ERs. So my husband is on nights and will get released at 630am. Well I need to be at the hospital at 630 for a 715 retrieval. We obviously need to drive separately. I know I can’t drive home after but would you have been up for driving for 5 minutes later in the day/evening? I was thinking of just catching an Uber but am doubtful there will be any available at 6am.
@hoffmanr7 you found out so early! Congrats! Hope they all keep growing strong work was alright, though sitting all day wasn’t the most comfortable thing in the world. Your plan sounds kinda nice, too!
@efavell02 & @northbeach3 hope you get to trigger soon! The last couple days of stims feel the longest, for sure.
@marfi236 nice timing! Hope your baseline goes well!
@J1006 glad the trigger went well! Personally, I probably could’ve driven in the evening, but I know they say not to. If there’s an Uber, I’d do that so you’re not feeling pressured to drive later. Or make DH uber over for your car later in the day.
Got our numbers back - 14 mature, 10 fertilized, fresh transfer on Monday!

@pnwcoffeeminer Welcome! I didn't actually realise 38 is AMA - I'm in there with ye guys too. Don't worry about jumping in, sometimes it's necessary to trust that the experts know what they're doing.

@efavell02 fantastic news! i know you were a bit down a few days ago, but it sounds like the meds did their thing and you've got a nice cushy lining! can't believe your trigger might be today! the end of this week is going to be a big one for a lot of us!!
@kiwi2628 i LOLd too... $100 seems like nothing relative to the other meds. in fact, i've been trying to get an itemized receipt from my pharmacy so i can apply for the rebates but all they sent was a receipt with the total. i only know the Gonal F cost about $450 for a 450 iu bottle b/c i had to order one more. oye ve!
@hoffmanr7 @halfanewt best of luck today! rooting for mature follies (which i had to look up what made it mature)... you want them to have a polar body that indicates they've undergone meiosis!
@J1006 how are things going J? have you had your follow up appt yet? any news on follie development? rooting for you.

@halfanewt - 18 - brilliant!! And @hoffmanr7 as others have said - 7 is a great number - it's all about quality!! Best of luck to you both for the fertilization results in the coming days, I know how stressful the wait is xxx
@J1006 Best of luck with the triggering!

I was thinking of just catching an Uber but am doubtful there will be any available at 6am.
work was alright, though sitting all day wasn’t the most comfortable thing in the world. Your plan sounds kinda nice, too!
@efavell02 & @northbeach3 hope you get to trigger soon! The last couple days of stims feel the longest, for sure.
@marfi236 nice timing! Hope your baseline goes well!
@hoping4lilbit nice! Fx Saturday is your day!
@kiwi2628 that is fantastic!
