Hello everyone! I'm 35 years old and this is my 5th pregnancy (details in siggy). Last year we had a surprise pregnancy with a loss at 10.5 weeks in 12/2016, and now 8 weeks with another surprise. I'm scared to death but navigating slowly. More because I'm old and feel a bit unprepared financially, emotionally, and in life in general. Family situation is a bit tender as my SIL is also expecting her first and I *really* don't want to take away any of her deserved attention, or for her or my bro to feel that I am. Still waiting for this to sink it for us. No one in the family knows. We did see the HB at 6w3d (124). I'm a teacher and work with young adults at the high school level in life skills support. I've been on TB plenty of times before, but things change, so hopefully I don't step on any toes. Good luck to you all!!!
Our son has autism so im not sure he fully understands yet. But i did tell him that there is a baby growing in my belly and he sometimes gets very excited and wants to rub my belly❤ I think he is going to be a great big brother though, he is so loving!!!
Howdy! My name is M’Lea (that’s muh-lee) and I’m a first timer. We’re due on 7/27 and conceived through IVF. Uhm...I’m not super with social media so don’t be offended if I don’t respond quickly at some point or leave blunt comments. I’ve noticed many of you refer to your DH - dear/darling husband. Well, my marriage is messy, so if I say DH, that d is for damn. Or mine might switch to SH OR FH, depending on the latest. We’ll just say we need lots of prayers to make it. Anyway, I’m a native Texan with no mom to coach me, so I’m probably behind the curve in prenatal knowledge. Looking forward to learning and sharing with you all.
Welcome @cocopuff2018 ! I got so much support and help in this community during my first pregnancy when I had no idea what I was doing. You're in good hands.
Hey all! My name is Gina and my husband (Matthew) and I are pregnant with our first child, due July 14th. We have been trying for two years, so we’re so excited this is finally happening! I’m feeling so much joy reading through all of your posts and and looking forward to having a community to share this with. Congrats to you all!
Hi Everyone! I’m so excited to be here again! I’m a STM. My oldest is 2, and will be almost three by my EDD. I haven’t had my first doctors appointment yet but Im anticipating my due date at 7/7. My first delivery was an unplanned c section, and this one will be a repeat c. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all.
@cocopuff2018 I lost my mom the year I got pregnant with my first, and my MIL had her last baby like, 28 years before that, so, I got all my info from here, What to Expect, and using various websites and mama friends for gear and registry recommendations. Also, might steal your plan to change DH to FH....sometimes my DH is a F as well.
Hello & congratulations to everyone! I got my BFP over the weekend and my EDD based on LMP is 7/24. I'm a 32 year old STM from Massachusetts. My DS will be 4 next month. I lurked in the December 2013 BMB and would really like to be more active this time around. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.
Hi! My name is Jen, I just got out of my 72 hour waiting period and am super glad to have this support network!! I’m a FTM, we got our BFP last Tuesday and EDD is 7/20. My DH and I have been married just over a month (so I’ve got you beat for rushing things @drez1@jkane625 hahaha). We have already rushed to the Dr with spotting and cramping last week and am waiting on the results from my second hcg blood test which I’ll get today... feel like I’m losing my mind waiting by the phone... nice to meet you all!
My name is Jenn. I'm 38 (woot for AMA), and this is my third pregnancy. EDD is July 3, though I go for a dating u/s next week and expect that to shift (I typically ovulate on day 20).
I'm currently a PhD student (musicology), and this baby was a bit of a surprise, but we're excited. DH and I have been married for 14 years, and we have 2 boys, 10 and 6 (so team pink this time around would be awesome).
~~Wife to one amazing man~~ ~~Mama to 3 crazy boys~~ ~~Wrangler of 2 cats~~
Hi! My name is Anja, originally from Norway but live in Portland OR with my husband and 18 month old son. Found out that we are expecting number two last night, was an awesome shock- due july 25! I loved this message group with my may 2016 baby, so excited to be back. Wishing you all fantastic pregnancies!
Hey all. I'm Jessica, born and raised in North Dakota. My husband and I have been married 8 years, but together for 14 years. This is our 3rd little one. DD is 3.5 ( May 2014 BMB) and our DS is almost two (January 2016 BMB). We weren't TTC so we're a bit surprised but happy! Just got my BFP yesterday and looking at a due date of around July 28, 2018. I won't have my first appointment until January 10th so that may change!
My name is Ilona and I'm 33. We just found out on Sunday that we are expecting our very first after TTC for nine months. EDD is July 25th 2018. I grew up and live in the DC area. DH and I have been together for 9 years and married for 3.5 years.
I'm not sure all of this this has really sunk in yet - I keep staring at the BFP thinking that it can't be real. I know I haven't gone on the lengthy journey that many others have had but it still seems unreal after hoping for it long before we were TTC. Honestly, I am scared and anxious about a MC but I know in many cases there is not much that can be done about it. I'm just really hoping we'll really have a July 2018 kiddo! It'll be a wonderful birthday present
I also haven't ever been on a discussion board before, but since we're not planning on telling anyone until after the 1st trimester, I figured this might be a nice place to find support and trade advice. Thanks in advance!
@Norway23 wow what a small world... I’m in Portland too, have a 20 month old son (so not far off) and my EDD is July 25! Talk about a lot of coincidences!
Hi everyone! My name is Michelle. My husband and I have a 14 month old daughter we conceived via Clomid and we are due July 27th as of now (My cycles are kind of long so I'm guessing they may change it at my ultrasound). We were all set to start Clomid next month and this sweet miracle happened! I'm still nursing my daughter and am not planning on forcibly weaning so I guess I could potentially be tandem nursing once this next baby is here ?( never thought I would be doing that!) Does anyone have any experience with that?
@norway23 Just a tip, if you put a @ in front of her name it'll tag her with a notification. Otherwise you have to hope she checks back in the thread and sees your response. You may know that, but thought i'd @ you just in case!
Old lady (37) and STM here. EDD July 29. Married for 14 years. Child #1 asks for a sibling daily and doesn’t know yet. Hoping to avoid gaining as much weight this time around and would like to VBAC as first was a c-section for failure to progress after 30+ hours of labor.
@hotairballoons99 Would that be 99 hot luftballoons? Welcome! Your kiddo is going to be so excited when they find out. I hope you have the pregnancy and birth you want this time around!
Hello! We found out we are expecting baby #2 This past weekend. EDD 7/27 which is my recently passed MIL bday so hubby is super touched by it. My DS will be 3 in June. Loved June 2015 group. I'm shy so more of a reader than a poster but I am going to try to be more of a participant this time around. Congrats everyone!
Good morning! I'm so excited I can finally post here:) I'm 7weeks 4 days and due 7/7! So far it's been pretty easy aside from fatigue and sore breasts...food aversions too. Nausea has been bearable. This is our first baby and we are so excited, we got pregnant on our honeymoon! Had my first scan at 6w2d, I experienced a chemical pregnancy last year so I really wanted an early ultrasound and my doc was super nice about it. We saw a heartbeat! Everything looked good and so far he deemed it a low risk pregnancy. I live in southern California and I work from home. I also teach yoga and fitness classes in my free time. Congratulations
Hi ladies! I have been slowly reading everyone elses introductions my name is Sarah and I am a stay at home mom and a LuLaRoe consultant. I am 29 and my DH (Andrew) is 30. He is a computer engineer. We live in PA and have an almost 2 yo daughter, Charlotte. She was born in February 2016 and I was semi active on the F16 BMB. *TW* We did experience a missed MC prior to having our daughter so any and all pregnancies make me nervous.
I am 4w3d with an EDD of 7/30/18, so hopefully I still stay around with this board. We have no family birthdays in July so that would be fun
Can't wait to get to know you all a little more, and glad to be here!
Hey everyone, I hope it's okay to chat in here with you for now. They haven't created August yet and I'm due on Aug 3. Baby number 2 for me. Curious to see how different it is this time around!
Hi! 3rd timer here! I have Noah a 3 year old boy and Lucy who will be one in a week! I think I am about 5 weeks now, will have an US on dec 11. I am super nervous about adding a third this soon! (It took us a year to conceive 2.0 so we started early in case we encountered that again... we didn't) I feel like an almost pro at this now!
Oh we also just moved to the Florida panhandle so it'll be tough doing this without any family nearby!
Hello my name is Tabitha and this is my 2nd pregnancy. I have a 2 year old daughter. I just got a positive test today. My ultra sound in on 12/19. I think my edd is 7/28.
Im elizabeth 30 my husband is chris and he is 36. We have a DD Sloan who is 3 1/2. We were done having kids due to financial reasons but then surprise I’m 5 weeks pregnant- due date July 27th!
Hi there. I may not be super active but figured I should say hello. I’m 30 years old, hail from PA, and am currently expecting number 3. Surprise! We weren’t trying, but obviously not preventing. DD is 6 and DS is 1. I was somewhat active on May11 and popped in on Sept16 from time to time. EDD is July 16th so we’re all set for 2 under 2 (lies, I’m not prepared in the least lol). I work part time in child care and DH is in the military, but has had a series of surgeries on his ankles this year and is set for another one after the first of the year, so who knows where that will all go. We’re both really excited to have another baby and can’t wait to meet them! Ugh, and I cringe as I type “them” because DH is convinced it’s twins and omg what if he’s right?!
