My hubby and I are mostly decided. Still not 100% at least on my end. For boy Duncan Lee and for a girl Gwendolyn(Gwen) Ruth. Not sure if I'm fully set on Duncan, I do also like the name Elowen for a girl but DH not as much. We like the odd, uncommon names. Middle names are family names from both sides.
Have you already chosen a name? (share if your comfortable) DH thinks it's to early to talk about names because I will change my mind 100 times anyways. He's not wrong.
What names are on your list/what names were on your list before you decided? right now my secret list looks like this: Boy: Reese William, Ellis William Girl: Reese Maddox, Thea Maddox
DD is Tanner Brynn so if we have another girl I would like to stay gender neutral but DH loves Thea
What app/site do you most use when looking for names? I really like to look at movie and tv credits
I’m loving all these names! So many good ones and it’s giving me ideas too.
DS is Wyatt Reece, and we’re trying to think of names that would go well with his name.
For boy names we have two ideas, Walker or Carter. I prefer Carter, DH prefers Walker. No middle name ideas yet, but we like one syllable middle names for some reason.
I really like Emma for a girl name. DH has no strong feelings about girl names. I know Emma is a super common name, I just really like it.
I have a feeling I’m going to be checking this thread often for more ideas. Keep them coming!
As for us, we had Vivian picked for a girl, but since we are having a boy we have decided on Oliver Theodore. Theodore has been the middle name of every male in my husband's family for 4 generations and bonus, I love it!! Am loving reading these!
@g_amoss, I LOVE both Hattie and Harper. Harper is near the top of our list. I hadn't considered Harriet...yet.
Doctor said we have an 80% chance of having a girl (based on our 12 week scan) so right now I'm only thinking girl names. Thinking about both at once hurts my brain. Currently, Ruth is at the top of our list. I wanted to named after a strong woman: RBG.
Have you already chosen a name? (share if your comfortable) We have not and probably won't decide until right before our due date. If I think a name too many times sometimes I start to not like it!
What names are on your list/what names were on your list before you decided? For a boy I want to incorporate Thomas. For a girl, I like the names Ruby, Delilah, Beatrice, Clementine and Kennedy.
What app/site do you most use when looking for names? I actually have a baby name book with all the name meanings in it. Sometimes I look on nameberry.com.
@lund I also think Holden Peter sounds a little naughty but I overthink things and I can't get over the name Peter to begin with. @kaymaroo I like dogs so Jack and Russel reminds me of the breed but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
Since we're team green, we won't choose for sure until after the birth, which I like because I feel like I would like to "meet" the baby before naming. BUT, we've had a list of names that we like for years, so it seems likely that the name will come from this list: Girls: Beatrix (Bea), Winifred (Winnie, Frida), Pennyroyal, Cecily Boys: MH has the same name as his dad and grandfather, so it's quite likely that a boy will share MH's name (he's not a junior, or even "the third", and he loves having the same name as his dad). Otherwise, we like Neil, Paul, Dean. Boys names are hard. @lund I like Holden, and I agree with @Puddlewonderful that most people won't ever know his MN, but I can actually see college classmates/adults giving him ish for that name combo... Edit: @kaymaroo Would you plan on calling him Russ? The Russell I knew was always called Russ, which I thought was super cute. Anyways, calling for Jack and Russ doesn't have as clear of an association with the dog.

We haven't made any definite decisions yet we are waiting until we find out the sex of the baby.
What names are on your list/what names were on your list before you decided?
Our top choice if the baby is a girl is Gabriella Grace with the nickname of Gigi. SO has wanted the name Sebastian Michael for a son since the day I met him. I am hesitant to commit to any name right now it just feels like such a huge decision.
What app/site do you most use when looking for names?
Haven't really used any just us brainstorming usually during long car trips.
@lund, you're killing me with Holden Peter!!! But seriously, I love the name Peter and don't think it gets used often enough, so if you can't use the names together, I vote towards using Peter.
@kmalls, Mia Rae is gorgeous. And you're having a girl!
I'm obvi behind on April 18 happenings.....
I was looking for your name in threads (also been absent more times than not recently). Glad to see you.

That's because her EDD moved so she ditched us for March! We can share her though
For Boys I really like last names as first names. I've mentioned before that's what we have done with DS. So here are a few (most of which DH has vetoed): Cohen, Davis, Whitt, Porter, Holt, Warren, Warner, Callum.
I was really hoping for Holt, but DH thinks it sounds too much like Colt.
For girls, I lean traditional, but am very picky. I like Mae, Lauren, Bridget.
@ngolimento One I like in that genre is Antonietta. It's the name of a good friend of mine, and she never liked it, so she goes by Ana, but I've always thought it was beautiful.
History (TW/loss/child):
7/2017 -- miscarriage at 6w 5/2018 -- DS born 3 days after due date, 8lb 4oz 9/2020 -- missed miscarriage at 9w / DNC 3/2021 -- miscarriage at 8w 7/2021 -- missed miscarriage at 8w / DNC 9/2021 -- IVF cycle #1 (FET 1/25/22)
@BarefootContessa I also love last names as boys' names, but i'm in the same boat with my DH: veto, veto, veto.
@ngolimento my girls are Adelaide and Emilia; we call both of them nicknames for now, but I expect/kind of hope they go by their full name as adults. I love Eleanor and Elizabeth with the NN Ellie for when they're young.

Have not decided on a name! Still not agreeing on any! We like Penelope for a girl! @growingournest I have always loved the name Everly!! I almost used it as my DDs middle name! Boy names are so much harder for some reason, I do not like the traditional names! @lund I really like the name Holden as well but SO hates it! Go with your gut!
Other names for girls: Adelaide, Calliope, and Everly
other names for boys: Oren, Deaglan, Gaius, and Dorian!
I like the the old names for girls and more obscure names for boys!
I have looked at a ton of sites online and have not fallen in love with any! I am headed to the library this week!
@mrsf1017 first of all, I love the name Holden too...I totally fell in love with that book as a freshman college. Not to be a dick, but I get the same connotation with Holden William as I do with Holden Peter (pun intended).
We are loving Holden for a boy as well! But ours would be Holden Cash. Haha! We've always wanted Cash for a middle name. Originally wanted Jackson Cash but Jackson really blew up. Looks like Holden might be too though! Haha.
We already have two daughters, Ryann Isabel and Tegan Eloise. I love out of the box first names and classic middle names. So we think we've decided on Spencer Olivia for a girl.

Have you already chosen a name? (share if your comfortable) : no we are struggling hard! We figured it'd be a girl and had like 10 names picked out. For a boy we just can't agree or find names we love.
What names are on your list/what names were on your list before you decided? Cedric, Rory, Alaric, Julian. My husband wants to use the middle name to honor his late father but I just can't get behind it because I dislike it, Edward. Feel so bad but I just don't think I can give him that. I suggested our girls middle names be after my mother and sister and we decided against that. Anywho thats our current argument and don't even have a first name lol
What app/site do you most use when looking for names: we used Charlies names app which is really cute because we could go through the names and then link our lists to compare. But after that app, our main baby name book and searching online can't agree so far!
Now that we know we are having another girl, the first name will be Ella after my late grandmother. (Baby could potentially be born on her birthday too) Still stuck on a middle name though. Our DD is Amelia Pearl.

@ekendall09 I love your boy name list! If my husband would agree I'd totally use Sawyer or Chandler. But Wesley, Tristan and Bryce are nice too. Unisex suggestions for boy or girl Rory, Riley, Rowan, Keegan.
@dirtyboots love Oliver and Felicity. Of course I'm a fan of show lol but they're great names. I like Everett and Frederick too. Suggestions Emerson, Elliot, Roderick, Cedric, Maxwell. Just ideas have been reading about different names all week!
@StephieMK Ella is a gorgeous name!!! Middle name ideas Grace, Rose, Noelle, Annette, Scarlett, Isabel.
@g_amoss I feel the same way about the boy names out there! I like your front runners. Do you love one of them a lot yet or still searching? I just don't love any of our front runners like I did when I named our 2 girls.
Ok, I think we have settled on Victoria as a first name. I really like how Ren sounds as a middle name (Japanese for Lotus), but I am worried it is too close to a pun:

@toorahloorah my youngest is Charlotte nn Charlie. I love it so much.
Our boy name list is very short and I don't love anything. The middle name would be Patrick after DH's grandpa. Our favorite girl name is Emme, middle name Mae after two of my grandmothers. I can't decide if we should do a longer name and have Emme be the nn though.
@ngolimento I like the combination Victoria Ren. I see your point with Victorian but don't think it really matters a whole ton since rarely we use middle names outside the home.

@lund will totally admit I think Holden Peter is asking for trouble, it's a cute name, but kids are so cruel.
@btm013 I love Vivian, it was the name we had chosen for a girl, but we are having a little boy, so I'll hold onto it for now. It's a beautiful name!
@JJMNO1616 LOVE Rory Charles! It's prefect!
