@KariAnn323, with how slow and unpredictable IF is, 29 doesn't seem very young to me. Especially since once we hit 35, our bodies take an apparent nose dive and we all become high risk and require more appointments. So if a woman wanted more than one child, it could take then the next 6 years to have one, let alone more than one. Ugh. He frustrates me and I never met him! @purplg8r this year is our first year with Sunday Ticket. Last night DH looked at me and randomly sounded super excited. He had just remembered we had it so this Sunday we can actually watch our teams. We live in Packer Country, but both hate the Packers and our teams are no where around us.
Also... how has no one mentioned this- Will and Grace is coming back this month. I'm excited, but also nervous about their approach and execution.
@KariAnn323 , as someone who has to travel (quite far) to see an RE, I understand your dilemma. I would take a step back first. Be certain you aren't projecting all your anxieties and stress onto one or two small mistakes from what could have been stemmed from a simple bad day. Is there anyway he could become what you need? If the answer is no, he really was as much of an asshole as we read, then yeah, skip town on him. Deal with the drive. But if there is a chance you projected and blew up any behavior, then give him another chance to save you the drive. The drive sucks during crunch time.
Either way, take a step back and take a deep breath. YOU know what the truth is, here. Regardless of how old you are, it's okay to have a fire under your butt and want it now. And it's smart to move right now, anyway. We are here for whatever you choose.

bad update. Three stopped growing and are stuck at day 3. 2 of those were MH's. So it looks like 100% bio kids are out of the question. so we have 2 left. They are early stage blasts, so they can't be PGS tested until tomorrow.

Ahhhh, getting such a late start this week! I feel so behind!@zwink1 My head would be spinning too! You guys have a lot of options to weigh. I agree with the list idea that the others have thrown out, but I also kind of support @adirat's non-medical professional opinion Given all of the factors at play, I would agree that it may ultimately be most effective to just jump right to IVF. But, of course, it is ultiamtely up to you guys and whatever you feel most comfortable with.
@BusinessWife I am axiously awaiting your update!! @madspunk FX your IUI goes smoothly! I only ever had some minor cramping after my IUIs, but I also didn't have any issues with my HSG either.
FX for you this cycle @beachbunnyxo123!!
@uschaglencoco I have been hooked on The Sinner!!!
@Safire3 Sending lots of good vibes your way! GL tomorrow!!
@laurad75 A complete stranger?!?! WTF is wrong with people? That just made me feel extra punchy, and I am sorry you had to deal with that.
@kariann323 I am so sorry to hear your appointment did not go well. I am very much side-eyeing the fact that he does not think an HSG is neccessary, so I would also agree that a second opinion may be a good way to go.
Big hugs @JuneRoseRuby. I am so sorry to hear that. Sending you lots of good vibes for the other 2 blasts.
Diagnosis (If you've been): Unexplained
Cycle/CD: cycle 17/CD 20
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW, beta next Tuesday
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Letrozole+Ovidrel+IUI
How are things going? I guess things are going ok. Had my progesterone test yesterday and I feel much better about my levels this time, so I am hoping this may mean my body may finally be working like it should damn it! Over the weekend DH also finally decided to mention the fact that he has a bunch of insurance plans available to him that I was unaware of. As far as I knew there were 2 plans for him to choose, from but apparently there are 21 (holy crap!!). So, I have spent the past two days going through the benefits brochures for every single one of these policies looking for anything with IF coverage. I did finally find one (yay!) but of course it is freakishly expensive and would cost us 4 times what we are paying now (boo!).
Any questions? Nope
GTKY: What show are you most excited about that is coming back on this Fall? This Is Us and The Walking Dead
@JuneRoseRuby I'm so sorry. BIG hugs for you here. I am rooting so hard for the 2 remaining and that everything comes back normal tomorrow.
@Pinky917 That's awesome so many options are available to you, though sucky the good IF ones are expensive... It might still be worth it though. I hope you are having as little of a BSC TWW as possible. That's great your progesterone levels look good.
I'm so sorry to hear that @JuneRoseRuby. Your H must be so disappointed. Hugs to you both. Really hoping the other 2 pull through and are Normal after PGS.
@Pinky917, the Sinner is AMAZING! I read a small synopsis on what happens in the book and I'm still excited for every episode. And I haven't liked Bill Pullman this much since he was in Casper, haha
@JuneRoseRuby I am so sorry to hear that Rooting for the 2 remaining, but still such a big hit. I am sorry
I've been posting in MFI board but could use some extra support this week so emerging from lurk status
Diagnosis (If you've been): azoospermia
Cycle/CD: I don't think I O'd this month because I'm so stressed .. on CD 35 or so and over a year of TTC
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): mTESE in 2 days!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Friday is DH's sperm retrieval. They have given us a 50/50 chance, which basically he either makes sperm or doesn't. We have been on a long journey and the potential that it all ends in 2 days is unbearable.
How are things going? Trying to draw the line between remaining positive and optimistic but not TOO optimistic in the event that we are let down. It has not been an easy few months, and I feel like the anxiety of all of it is compounding into this one day. Of course, in the event that the retrieval is successful, it is still such a long road.. but I am praying to God just to have that chance.
Any questions? WILL THERE BE SPERM!?
GTKY: What show are you most excited about that is coming back on this Fall? This is Us, American Horror story, Grey's Anatomy... ugh fall TV is the best. I miss Desperate Housewives...
@JuneRoseRuby. Oh, woman. I am so sorry. That is a tough blow. Hopefully the other two will be strong and healthy. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.... (((Hugs)))
@LeilaK9288. It all leads up to this right? - no pressure. I try to tell myself, it's going to be what it's going to be, kwim? Like if there is or there isn't, no amount of worrying is going to change the outcome. The only way through is acceptance, I feel like. First came acceptance of the dx, eventually acceptance that it's truly out of anyone's hands, and acceptance that it will be what it's going to be. That's maybe been helping me with waiting for this embryo report, too. Either they all make it! Or they all arrest, or something in between, but no matter what happens, we've done all we can. Right? Hang in there.... (((hugs))) can you clean a closet or do something to help keep your mind distracted a little between now and Friday?
@JuneRoseRuby Friend, I'm so sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for and that you and YH have something planned to treat yourselves a little. I hope those 2 embryos are the little embies that could and your next report is fantastic!

KariAnn323 Guess
I’m in the plus size category. My first RE didn’t mention anything about it.
The second opinion RE I went to talked to me for an hour and a half intro
appointment about how fat I was. OK, not exactly… he mostly kept pointing to a
chart saying I needed to lose 21 lbs. And he doesn’t want to do my progesterone
biopsy til I lose it. So *TW Loss* I
left my second appointment feeling like a giant fat-@ss who lost 4 babies
because I’m fat, and may never get a live baby because I need to lose 21 lbs...
*End TW* Sorry about your RE being a
d*ck. I haven’t liked either of mine and have gotten conflicting advice. It’s
hard when you want the specialist opinion and feel as though they couldn’t give
2 shytes about you being there. My first RE did not test progesterone or do the
ureaplasma tests… So that was helpful for second to do.

How are things going: Meh. Usually I'm going BSC on 8DPO, but even though I still feel some weird optimism deep down inside, I continue to feel totally out. Like, I haven't really thought much about when/if to test. And I have had this fear since I did the one insemination at home this cycle that all those frozen swimmers were DOA. I have no idea why I thought or felt that, but it's been with me since then. Questions: Nah.

I had a follie check today. I have 1 16 and 4 13s. I go back on Saturday for another check. At this point, I'm guessing the IUI will be Monday if things go right.
AFM: We ended up with our two donor to freeze. The doc called me today and I said I was disappointed in the cycle and he said "yeah, me too, but we learned something, you take longer to stim and mature, so next time we would change your meds and give you another day or two to mature". Nice, but we are broke and won't be do another retrieval. So I told him we were no longer interested in using MH sperm, only donor. So he suggested keeping the 2 embies frosty for a few years, and just doing IUIs with donor. Who'da thunk I'd be doing this whole IF thing backwards... IVF then IUIs. So he wants me to order more donor and send it to the office and call CD1 and put me on clomid to aim for 2-3 eggs and IUI with donor. He wants us to save the frosties for baby number two if we are lucky, or to transfer if multiple IUIs are unsuccessful. I guess this is our new plan forward! I still cried a few times today but generally feel better about our plan.

@JuneRoseRuby I'm glad you have a plan on place to move forward. Two frosties in the bank + IUI sounds great! I love how the doctors are so casual about it like, "it's okay, we'll <i>JUST REPEAT...</i>" As if that's a decision any sane person would be taking lightly, or is even an option for most people. I'm excited for you though. :)
Take all the time you need to process... it's a real thing to have to greive the loss of having your husband's biological kids. I don't care what anybody says. That's not easy. it's likely to sneak up on you when you least expect, and remember that's okay. It sucks, but it's okay. Please give yourself permission to feel all the feelings right now. @Pinky917 That's awesome so many options are available to you, though sucky the good IF ones are expensive... It might still be worth it though. I hope you are having as little of a BSC TWW as possible. That's great your progesterone levels look good.
@Pinky917, the Sinner is AMAZING!
I read a small synopsis on what happens in the book and I'm still excited for every episode. And I haven't liked Bill Pullman this much since he was in Casper, haha
Big hugs @JuneRoseRuby . Getting the embryo reports is one of the most stressful things you can go through. Be good to yourself today

GTKY: What show are you most excited about that is coming back on this Fall? This is Us, American Horror story, Grey's Anatomy... ugh fall TV is the best. I miss Desperate Housewives...
(((hugs))) can you clean a closet or do something to help keep your mind distracted a little between now and Friday?

madspunk Everything crossed for your IUI cycle!
KariAnn323 Guess I’m in the plus size category. My first RE didn’t mention anything about it. The second opinion RE I went to talked to me for an hour and a half intro appointment about how fat I was. OK, not exactly… he mostly kept pointing to a chart saying I needed to lose 21 lbs. And he doesn’t want to do my progesterone biopsy til I lose it. So *TW Loss* I left my second appointment feeling like a giant fat-@ss who lost 4 babies because I’m fat, and may never get a live baby because I need to lose 21 lbs... *End TW* Sorry about your RE being a d*ck. I haven’t liked either of mine and have gotten conflicting advice. It’s hard when you want the specialist opinion and feel as though they couldn’t give 2 shytes about you being there. My first RE did not test progesterone or do the ureaplasma tests… So that was helpful for second to do.
JuneRoseRuby I’m so sorry. Hoping the other 2 are fighters!

@BusinessWife That is amazing!!!
AFM, I've been reading and lovetitting, but somehow am just now getting to my own update.
Diagnosis: DOR, AMA. I has the old:
Cycle/CD: 24 (18 AL)/ CD20
Status: TWW, 8DPO
How are things going: Meh. Usually I'm going BSC on 8DPO, but even though I still feel some weird optimism deep down inside, I continue to feel totally out. Like, I haven't really thought much about when/if to test. And I have had this fear since I did the one insemination at home this cycle that all those frozen swimmers were DOA. I have no idea why I thought or felt that, but it's been with me since then.
Questions: Nah.
GTKY: Ooh, I didn't realize Will and Grace was back so soon. I knew it was coming, but I guess I kinda forgot about it. So I'm excited about that. I'm also excited that Ray Donovan has been back on Showtime. Such a great show!!

@JuneRoseRuby I'm sorry things didn't turn out the way you hoped, but glad it sounds like you have a plan. Also - Yay for two to freeze?
@Pinky917 Insurance is crazy these days. It seems like they get you coming and going, no matter what you do...
