@Kindbytealikat Yes, the rider board will allow an older to stand. We have this configuration basically (although we have the seats facing each other and only use the rider board when DS wants to stand instead of sit). [not my photo, found online, but ours even the same color]

One of my fave things about this stroller... all the different configuration options. None of these pictures show the rider-board, an additional add-on for the stroller.

One thing to think about with double strollers: if you'll be walking a dog/dogs while also pushing a stroller, side-by-side strollers are going to be waaaay safer. If your dog/dogs lunge at anything or make a sudden move and take you with them, a front to back stroller will tip easier. Additionally, if you're pushing the stroller with one hand, a side-by-side will turn with less effort.
Clearly I'm a #dogmom and needed to think about these things

I completely disagree with the safer argument... at least for the stroller we use, I can't speak to others. Ours does not tip... ever and we've used multiple different configurations. It is explicitly designed to center the weight of the kids and evenly disburse it so that it doesn't tip. So if you use it as intended, and don't add after 'market things' (seats or attachments not designed for the specific stroller) or hang things where you're not supposed to, it will not tip, even with lunging movements. [ETA, I genuinely feel like it would take intentional movements to tip the stroller, that's how stable it is. Now I need to go home and test this out.... for science...]
Again, this is for the stroller we use, I don't know about others. In fact, the only stroller I've ever had tip over was a side-by-side double stroller we rented for a Disneyland trip. When we laid the kids down (as it's designed to do) the back became too heavy and would fall backwards unless we actively pulled up on the handle bars while pushing (my kids were 10 months and 2YO at the time so size/weight wasn't an issue).
I will agree on with the pushing one-handed though. You can absolutely steer a tandem stroller one-handed, I do it regularly, but the wide-profile of the side-by-side is easier to steer one-handed.

@ladythrice ok? I'm speaking from experience walking two dogs every single day. The front-to-backs tip easier when you're pulled in a different direction unexpectedly. I would never recommend anything other than a side by side if you're consistently walking dogs.
@kmalls ok? I think you have a valid comment based on your experience. But like you, I'm just sharing my experience... and that has been actually experiencing a side-by-side tip backwards with proper use. So my recommendation is for a tandem. To each their own.

We have dogs and with the number of squirrels in our neighborhood, I can totally see how the tandem might be problematic, if not for tipping, then definitely for the ability to steer one handed!
The tippability of any stroller by a dog is probably pretty dependent on the size of the dog(s) that are lunging. I can see where a small to mid-size dog can't tip it, but a couple of pitbulls or huskies could take the stroller easily.
Any STM/TTM's have experience with the Chicco Bravo for 2 stroller? We have Chicco key fit newborn car seats we'd love to reuse, so this seems like a great option. And I think DD would love the sit/stand option in the back. (At least I think it's sit/stand? I only see the sit option in the photos, but I think it does both.) Anyway, has anybody used this stroller? Thoughts? TIA!
