  • @kiwi2628 I typically have the same symptoms as a normal cycle.  I do think I notice them more but they aren't any worse OR like my boobs they already hurt and just continue lol.

    @Redpuma119 - Since you just got diagnosed with PCOS, I'd recommend the book PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic. It has the most thorough, most scientific explanation of PCOS I've found. I really felt like I understood PCOS after reading it, and I go back to it a lot when I need to refresh my memory on certain aspects of it (or when someone like my mom or BFF asks me to explain again why insulin affects my ovaries). Basically all other books on PCOS I read were completely laughable in comparison.

    @lund +1 to @adirat's suggestion. I didn't realize it was that expensive!

    @beanship thank you for the recommendation! I'll check out that book for sure!
  • @shortstack930 GL today! Sending lots of positive vibes your way

    @beanship I know it wasn't directed at my, but thanks for the book recommendation! I just checked and it's available at my library by work, so I will walk over and get it at lunch.

    @adirat @BertieMeetsGertie thanks for the recommendation - I think that makes perfects sense! Luckily having the pharmacy rush the delivery didn't cost any more than regular delivery!

    @lund Does your insurance partner with a mail order pharmacy? Mine does and my crinone went from $40/mo at a local fertility pharmacy to $30/mo mail order.

  • lundlund member
    @adirat not that I know of. However my RE partners with a mail order pharmacy. Per them it's cheaper than using local pharmacies, but I should probably do more research on that.

    @beanship Hahaha that is so lame FF! I'm glad you are feeling enthusiastic! Hold onto that feeling. Also, that gif!!!

    @shortstack930 Good luck today!
    @lund Yeesh, I'm glad they are not making you pay for those tests twice. I don't have specific advice about your meds, but hopefully you'll be able to find a less expensive option.

  • @50Wife No IF coverage here either. That sucks. So far everything has been diagnostic for me and for treating my PCOS but I'm about to have to start paying once we start medicated cycles. Ugh.
  • @50Wife Sorry you have to delay the first treatment cycle. That happened to me a bit and it was SO frustrating so I can relate. GL with the testing though!! I hope there is nothing else to discover, and it will be nice to get all that out of the way.
