@dragonette505: great fert report!! Its great the mature ones r pulling through!! Its hard when doing picsi and icsi as I'm told the egg has to be mature! When they aren't sure if they mature they leave it to fert on its own...its worked once or 2x but never made the long haul to come bakc normal after testing You're always teaching me something new, cleavage is a new one!! Your grading system is different and its so frustrating to understand it. Glad you have chances and hoping you get a lot more this round!!

@BusinessWife - theres a video? r u serious? really i have to ask my place now - thats awesome! I doubt it cause we dont even get pics of the pnuts they transfer. I know the grading is hard but sounds like you've got some fighters on your hands! I did the testing after ER and then the one inconclusive I thawed and retested AND g-d willing thats the pnut I'm transferring I want that miracle it'll be the best story to share one day!! My lil fighter!! You are younger then me and the odds are that you have more healthy eggs growing! My RE didn't think pgs was necessary for me even at 39/40. Its because of my MC and how awful it was that she then said we should. I'm hoping it was really just bad luck at this point for me. I hate that I had to lose 2 in the process. Technically they say your body wont take the abnormal ones OR MC them very early on...since that wasn't my story we needed to go with the testing.

@Hopeful_mom - I'm still in awe too. It's surreal that this happened. I'm just hoping so hard this will stay. Now I'm counting week by week, so that I can comfort myself. It's still so early on though (by my math, 6 weeks now). But yes, I can't wait for my next ultrasound! It's now beginning to sink in. As for your transfer, I would be nervous too! But at the same time, I have been seen by another RE in the same clinic (different office location) because it is closer to work for monitoring, and if he needed to do any sort of procedure I would feel ok with that too. That's so ironic your RE is due soon!

I just think of the photos I sent her and then our follow up...it must've been hard on her!! @Hopeful_mom in my FET cycle I had to take estrogen and progesterone after triggering ovulation. I'm not sure why I had to trigger since I ovulate naturally, but I do think it's pretty common to take progesterone before FET, since in a natural cycle you get a rise in progesterone after O anyway because your body is hoping you got pregnant.

I don't really understand why all those meds are needed for a frozen transfer since if the follow your cycle you should produce all of them yourself (unless you have irregular cycles, don't ovulate on your own etc). I recently found out that my RE doesn't do natural transfers though so I already have my estrogen tabs and crinone waiting for when I'm ready.
@safire3 I wonder the same thing... I get the feeling my clinic doesn't do them either. Maybe it's like, they put so much effort into creating the blasts, they don't want to leave the transfer hormones up to chance? And just support the pregnancy as much as possible. But I hear you. It seems a little excessive in some cases, but what do I know. #notadoctor :/

you're both right! My post was confusing it was more I wish the nurses told me the 5/6 day thing so I would've understood when the transfer takes place...some nurses made it seem like its within the week. I didn't know once you starts the crinone then the real countdown begins!
I am wondering why we just do estrace and not an estrogen patch. Really hoping my E2 is on point tomorrow, just took my dosage.

some places do unmedicated cycles and its all natural just relying on your own body...how some people get pregnant while they transfer because they're naturally ovulating. However there is a part of me that makes me nervous just relying on my body especially with everything I've put it through recently. I think it needs the extra help....point proven with my E2...

@Hopeful_mom - That is so heartbreaking. You've been through so much. I hope this time is it for you!
I think all the meds used for FET is to try to give you the best shot of it sticking. Especially with everything involved and invested, it wouldn't hurt I guess? I'm on progesterone now (3 days now), but from what I read online taking it does no harm so it wouldn't hurt to be extra careful. After all, we will do anything for it to work!
@JaeJayStark - I'm so glad! I'm crossing everything this sticks and everything is uneventful. Especially after going through a MC before, I'm just so cautious and nervous at any moment in time.

Hi all. Just got a Day 5 update that while nothing is available today for biopsy, all three are still growing and at least one was at early blast stage this morning. Again, I am not expecting much, but at least they are still in the running for a bit. I am still recovering and not 100% by any means, so just resting and taking it easy. I read up a bit on what happened to me and apparently there is a .02% chance that something like that could have happened. Lucky me:) I need to play the lottery more! ;-)
Me: 41; DH: 45 Both married for the first time in our 40s; went straight to IVF after multiple fibroid surgeries (2/17) ER: #1: agonist/antagonist protocol: 19 eggs; 8 mature; 13 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable) (4/17) ER: #2: same protocol but stimmed an extra 2 days: 16 eggs; 10 mature (5 more matured in lab); 13 fertilized; 2 6-day blasts (5AA & 6BA) & 2 7-day blasts (6BA & 5BB): only 1 Day 6 6BA tested normal! FET on 7/10/17 Beta on 7/21/17: Negative:( (8/17) ER #3: 9 eggs; 6 mature; 3 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable) Developed severe complications (abdominal bleeding) following egg retrieval which required hospitalization, transfusion & emergency surgery. Done with IVF.

Frustrated doesn't even begin my feelings right now!! So they're changing my protocol to still taking 3mg of estrace but 1 vaginally at night UGH seriously, i'm so not a fan of that, but whatever! This now pushes me till at least next week as I first go back wed for monitoring! I'm so angry! My lining is fine but who knows if its going to happen this month or not....

I'm panicking...trying not to BUT I have no clue and of course i dont know when the most receptive time is for the transfer...I've never had E2 problems before...so who the hell knows. Here my lining looks great I need my levels to be great too. soooo if i go in wed and its better is it still smart to proceed, is my body on track....naturally it would be past the time. Whats crazy is that i have follies growing so i'm surprised that i'm not higher then 200 too.

@Hopeful_mom don't panic yet, let's see what they say after your next blood work. It may be they change your dose or add something. It may also be that it's back at a good number based on where you should be!
@hopeful_mom just seeing your update and that sucks!!! You've been through so much, I am praying it comes up for you if they can change your doses? There are so so many hurdles in this path, just unbelievable!

AFM: got my 5-day report on my 3 embabies and they've all made it!!! I'm so overjoyed. Two will be frozen today and the third one is growing just a tad slower so they will freeze tomorrow probably. I'm not doing PGS now and will plan for FET as soon as my next cycle starts!!

Thanks for the support ladies, very appreciated!! I think my freak out is more if I'm missing My "receptive time" The fact that its medicated helps getting the ideal time which is the point. We have in our heads that our body just has the one moment it can become pregnant so its hard to forget that aspect. You get this calendar and look at it by law and if you deviate from it you then halt and get nervous. Its not like the calendar does has extra boxes saying it can go 5 days later and that its ok too....I think thats why i'm so concerned over it. Everyone get a date and pretty much stick to it...its the ladies that got a date and then it was delayed did they still have success. Its a tricky thing and knowing you have this one chance you don't want anything to jeopardize it.

AFM: No blasts ready for biopsy today, so I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that this cycle is a bust. The best of the 3 is a 3BB, and it needs to get to a 5 in order to biopsy. In the past, my Day 7 blasts have all tested as abnormal, so that is what I am expecting. Unfortunately, I am at work, so I'm trying hard to hold it in. I'm so tired of being sad.

angelbea sending you hugs!! I'm sorry the report isn't what we want to here BUT they haven't pooped out yet and you have fighters on your hands and thats hat counts. I've had perfect embabies 5AA come back abnormal and the the day 6 embaby a 5BA I think and it was normal! I still have hope for you hang in there!!! IF sucks ass straight up and I feel like that all the time. Its hard to remember a time where I actually felt normal and happy! I hope we will find ourselves back there once again soon!

Going to keep my fingers crossed that they pull through! 3bb is pretty good quality @Hopeful_mom@tnh0413 yeah it's a decent report right now. She said outright at the end of this email that she only hopes/expects me to have one or at best 2 to freeze so you know... that keeps my feet on the ground.
@angelbea sorry to hear your report but I'm hoping maybe at least the one will keep fighting! It is so hard to process all this, a tough ride with a lot of emotional ups and downs. But we can't count them out yet, anything could happen. Going through this is making me realize what a miracle getting to each step is! Like it's a wonder our planet has the population it does!

AFM - I talked to my doctor this mornkng, and we are good to proceed with a second round. As much as it's killing me not to just go onto transfer mode, it was hurting my heart more I think that our three might not be enough to guve us the multi-kid family we always hoped for... DH was ready to just let me do what I wanted, but he said what he <i>didn't</i> want was to have a kid or two and then however many years down the road to have to go through this all over again for a sibling.
So here's hoping we get a few more to freeze this time - but nothing too crazy - so we can go ahead with the plan to eventually transfer all and see who we get to take home. OMG, I'm gonna cry. I dunno. I was totally laugh-crying when I got off the phone with her. I feel like this is such a gift and I'm really excited to feel like we can move onto transfer with enough frosties in the bank for all our future family plans, God willing.
Anyway, I had a good albeit rushed, chat with my nurse, too, omw to work, and she was really encouraging and supportive, so that was nice. Now I just have to keep fx that the insurance part all gets processed in time... since I'm already spotting! :#

Hi Ladies - I haven't been following as closely the past couple of weeks. I've got to say, as horrible as the waiting is (it just seems endless!) part of me is actually amazed at how much better I feel not taking anything or injecting anything. I hadn't realized how uncomfortable I'd been until this second cycle after IVF - it feels so nice to be able to bend over and not feel sore.
Also, an aside - just me or is there more spam on these boards than usual? So much biotex! LOL! @dragonette505 - some of your responses (in other threads) have made me laugh. If it's not a catfish, it's biotex.
@angelbea - I'm sorry. I'm going to keep FX for your one 3BB, but man- that is shitty news. Between day 3 and day 6 is nerve wracking!
@Hopeful_mom - keeping FX for you, this is all super anxiety inducing. So many factors to consider!
@BusinessWife - If we'd had 2 or fewer, I would have pushed DH to do another round. Even as it is, if our first 2 transfers don't take, I might do another round... And even if all goes well with our first or second transfer, I might keep the other 2 on ice and do another round as soon as we can. Anyway, I totally understand why you've made this call, and I'm keeping my FX for you that you end up with another few embies!

My RE that is doing the transfer is due at the end of sept so we shall see if her pnut stays put or not. I'm nervous enough and the thought of a new RE doing a transfer will flip me out! • June 2017 - IVF #1, 5 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized, 2 high quality blasts chillin'. During retrieval, Dr. had to go through my uterus so we switched from fresh transfer to frozen. Giving my uterus a full cycle to heal.
• August/September 2017 - Natural FET #1, transferred one day 5/6 embryo on Sept 3rd, Beta #1 171, Beta #2 402.6 | Saw heartbeat at 6 weeks, 3 days | BFP
• April 2017 - Baby Boy Beckett was born.
• August 2019 - FET, transferred one day 5/6 embryo | BFP
• December 2019 - Diagnosed with low AFI of 3.41 on 12/3, cause unknown. No tear in membranes, no issues with Baby Girl. On bedrest.

@Hopeful_mom FX your estrogen level gets it's act together tomorrow! I hope you doc makes it to do your transfer or you at least get one you are comfortable with.
I don't really understand why all those meds are needed for a frozen transfer since if the follow your cycle you should produce all of them yourself (unless you have irregular cycles, don't ovulate on your own etc). I recently found out that my RE doesn't do natural transfers though so I already have my estrogen tabs and crinone waiting for when I'm ready.
I am wondering why we just do estrace and not an estrogen patch. Really hoping my E2 is on point tomorrow, just took my dosage.

some places do unmedicated cycles and its all natural just relying on your own body...how some people get pregnant while they transfer because they're naturally ovulating. However there is a part of me that makes me nervous just relying on my body especially with everything I've put it through recently. I think it needs the extra help....point proven with my E2...

Frustrated doesn't even begin my feelings right now!! So they're changing my protocol to still taking 3mg of estrace but 1 vaginally at night UGH seriously, i'm so not a fan of that, but whatever! This now pushes me till at least next week as I first go back wed for monitoring! I'm so angry! My lining is fine but who knows if its going to happen this month or not....

AFM: got my 5-day report on my 3 embabies and they've all made it!!! I'm so overjoyed. Two will be frozen today and the third one is growing just a tad slower so they will freeze tomorrow probably. I'm not doing PGS now and will plan for FET as soon as my next cycle starts!!

Thanks for the support ladies, very appreciated!! I think my freak out is more if I'm missing My "receptive time" The fact that its medicated helps getting the ideal time which is the point. We have in our heads that our body just has the one moment it can become pregnant so its hard to forget that aspect. You get this calendar and look at it by law and if you deviate from it you then halt and get nervous. Its not like the calendar does has extra boxes saying it can go 5 days later and that its ok too....I think thats why i'm so concerned over it. Everyone get a date and pretty much stick to it...its the ladies that got a date and then it was delayed did they still have success. Its a tricky thing and knowing you have this one chance you don't want anything to jeopardize it.

@Hopeful_mom That's the one good thing about using the medications.... unmedicated and yup, after 5 days you would miss the transfer. This way it's more about getting your body to that point.

i got my day 3 report!
AFM: No blasts ready for biopsy today, so I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that this cycle is a bust. The best of the 3 is a 3BB, and it needs to get to a 5 in order to biopsy. In the past, my Day 7 blasts have all tested as abnormal, so that is what I am expecting. Unfortunately, I am at work, so I'm trying hard to hold it in. I'm so tired of being sad.

I've had perfect embabies 5AA come back abnormal and the the day 6 embaby a 5BA I think and it was normal! I still have hope for you hang in there!!! IF sucks ass straight up and I feel like that all the time. Its hard to remember a time where I actually felt normal and happy! I hope we will find ourselves back there once again soon!

IVF#5 April 2017 // EPP (7 ER, 7F yes! 6B) 2/5 day 4/6 day - 2 PGS normal! yes!!
IVF#6 May 2017 // Antagonist didn't have time for Estrogen Priming...(4 ER, 3 F, 3B) (5AB, (2) 5BB) 2 PGS normal, yes!!
IVF#7 June 2017 // EPP praying this is it and then on to an FET!

@Hopeful_mom @tnh0413 yeah it's a decent report right now. She said outright at the end of this email that she only hopes/expects me to have one or at best 2 to freeze so you know... that keeps my feet on the ground.

AFM - I talked to my doctor this mornkng, and we are good to proceed with a second round. As much as it's killing me not to just go onto transfer mode, it was hurting my heart more I think that our three might not be enough to guve us the multi-kid family we always hoped for... DH was ready to just let me do what I wanted, but he said what he <i>didn't</i> want was to have a kid or two and then however many years down the road to have to go through this all over again for a sibling.
So here's hoping we get a few more to freeze this time - but nothing too crazy - so we can go ahead with the plan to eventually transfer all and see who we get to take home. OMG, I'm gonna cry. I dunno. I was totally laugh-crying when I got off the phone with her. I feel like this is such a gift and I'm really excited to feel like we can move onto transfer with enough frosties in the bank for all our future family plans, God willing.
Anyway, I had a good albeit rushed, chat with my nurse, too, omw to work, and she was really encouraging and supportive, so that was nice. Now I just have to keep fx that the insurance part all gets processed in time... since I'm already spotting! :#

@angelbea - I'm sorry. I'm going to keep FX for your one 3BB, but man- that is shitty news. Between day 3 and day 6 is nerve wracking!
@Hopeful_mom - keeping FX for you, this is all super anxiety inducing. So many factors to consider!
@BusinessWife - If we'd had 2 or fewer, I would have pushed DH to do another round. Even as it is, if our first 2 transfers don't take, I might do another round... And even if all goes well with our first or second transfer, I might keep the other 2 on ice and do another round as soon as we can. Anyway, I totally understand why you've made this call, and I'm keeping my FX for you that you end up with another few embies!
