  • @jessafishy There is one other...but I didn't think to ask at the time. That was DHs first question too when I told him. I guess they're not too concerned since it's lightened and turned brown, and we heard the HB yesterday. Doesn't help my anxiety though.

Yeah someone said something about how they didn't understand why women couldn't just cover up. Or something along those lines.
  • So DH and I are planning out our summer. We decided to take it easy on our dance schedule this summer so we have more time to be a family and go on a few more vacations. Even if they're mini ones. So typically the girls would take as many classes as they do in the fall dance year ( 9-12 classes each) but we're thinking just having them do ballet and strength and stretch ( their Yoga Pilates type workout / turning and leaping class) only. This way they don't lose any of their training for when comp stuff starts again.

As for vacations we plan to head to DHs family's spot in the poconos. It's a gated community with a. Pool and fun things for the kids to do at the club house. I also want to take the kids canoeing. I will be about 26-28 weeks pregnant at that time. I should be okay, right? Not like we're going white water rafting. We will also be doing some beach trips- but the closest beach is 3 hours away. We e done day trips before - but while pregnant?!? Hmmm. We also go to the local Renaissance Festival in September. It's a very uneven terrain and I'll be uber pregnant but being its local and actually closer to the hospital I'll deliver at ;) , I feel okay going.

Sorry for the book, but thanks for reading so far. So my question is , with these little trips in mind, were trying to come up with something else.
Central East coasters.... any ideas? We were thinking maybe colonial Williamsburg VA? This is the first summer in 3 years we'll be able to actually get to do more with the kids scaling back on summer dance classes. Oh and also or dance Nationals are at hershey, PA this year. So there's going there too.

@canonmom413  I live about an hour and a half from Colonial Williamsburg.  It's pretty cool if you've never been!  We spent a whole day there when we first moved to Virginia and I loved it.  There's also a ton of other things to do in that general area...Busch Gardens, Yorktown, Jamestown, Virginia Beach/Chesapeake Bay.

I LOVEDDDDD Jamestown when I was a kid!! I was not a history-buff kind of kid and was kind of dreading it when my parents said we were going. But our Williamsburg/Jamestown vacation was one of my favorites of my childhood.

I also love the Chesapeake Bay, but I may love it more for the food than much of anything else  ;)

  • @PizzaMonster3 this movie came out the year my parents divorced because my dad cheated.  I've probably watched this a million times and cry every single time.

When is the latest you STMs and TTMs would recommend flying?  2 of DH's super close friends are getting married in New Jersey in early September -- back-to-back weekends, and DH is a groomsman in the first one.  I think I figured out I'd be around 36 weeks.  The RSVPs are due soon and I don't know what to put.  DH will be going to the first one for sure, but I'm nervous for him to go to the second one and leave me alone at 36 weeks.  And of course DH is like, wait why can't you fly if you're not due for another month.  Anyone ever flown at 36 weeks?  Is that definitely not happening?

We have an out of state wedding in early September. I am planning on flying as long as I don't end up with some complications closer to that time. As long as your doctor is okay with it, I don't see why not. I have heard of some airlines prohibiting you from flying after you hit a certain point. I would check with the airline too.
  • @migdala I wouldn't personally fly at 36 weeks. You might want to check with your OB about it too.
