So I don't feel like starting a new thread for this because I'm trying to convince myself it's nothing...but I just discovered a bit of spotting when I used the restroom. Ugh. I can't imagine I'll be sleeping a ton tonight. I'm Rh negative so I'll be giving my doctor a call in the morning and I assume I'll need to be seen to get my rhogam shot. The only reassuring thing is I just had an appointment this afternoon and the HB was found right away. Not sure what could be the cause...never had any spotting with my first, didn't do anything over the top physically today, and my OB appointment was literally just weight, BP, and heartbeat. Anyway, I didn't feel the need to wake DH up to tell him quite yet so needed to talk about it somewhere while I stress eat three packs of DD's fruit snacks.
@purplestarz. I know the feeling. Call your doc as soon as you can and hopefully they will reassure you. Anytime I bled my doc did an ultrasound and that made me feel SO much better. I am also Rh negative and had a rhogam shot at 9 weeks. Hope all is okay!!!
@purplestarz I'm sorry this is happening and on your mind. I know the feeling all too well. Be sure to call the doc in the morning to make sure everything is still ok and for a peace of mind. I had bright red blood spotting last week and it was from a sensitive cervix (even sneezing caused me to bleed). they brought me in and everything checked out fine. It still worries me, especially now that my first trimester is over and symptoms are subsiding. Please keep us updated!
@TallMomma29 I love BabyPics. It's $4.99 to unlock all stickers. But totally worth it. DD1 had like 45 bucks on her iTunes account. I totally downloaded it on her phone with her iTunes money and uses family sharing to put it on my phone hah. She's been accumulating iTunes money for like a year now. She won't miss it (awesome parenting)
@purplestarz thinking of you. I have not had experience with spotting this pregnancy but it's totally common and little things of no concern can cause it. Hugs momma ! Update when you can.
I felt comfortable with the state of my legs when I left the house this morning so I didn't wear tights or leggings under my dress but now I'm feeling self conscious that you can really notice the leg stubble. Thanks 40 degree morning!

Thank you for the reassurance ladies. West coast here so it's only 6:30am so I've got another hour and a half before the office opens.
@ForwardnBackward ST? Taking a wild guess and thinking that means sexy time? lol if so, negative on that front.
Anyway, it definitely hasn't gotten any worse overnight (I was so scared to check when I got up). When I wipe it's just a tiny bit brown. Last night the spotting started as pinkish/red and turned to brown.
@curlyq423 that's great to hear. I'm going to tell myself I have the same issue as allergies are kicking my butt right now and I can't stop sneezing and blowing my nose.
So I woke up this morning feeling like I was hit head on by the flu. My throat is killing me, nausea is all time high, my entire body just aches. No fever that I can tell of though.
I made the call to work from home and did some google research - what does it say? One of the symptoms of 16 weeks pregnant is flu-like symptoms. Why, mother nature? Why would you do that to me? My hips hurt, my back hurts, my body hurts. It is way too early to be feeling like this. I felt like a million bucks up until like 37 weeks last time. Why the pain now?

@purplestarz hoping everything checks out ok! Spotting is always scary, but the pink spotting turning to brown sounds very reassuring! Just stop sneezing so much so your cervix can catch a break!
i
feel annoyed. it is teacher appreciation week coming up. so we are all
supposed to give $20 per kid and bring in a baked good for the teachers.
ok. i love them as much as the next guy. but i fucking pay you a
mortgage payment a month for PART TIME CARE. i buy gifts for christmas.
now you want more money/gifts? buzz off.

Ugh @carries2018 I feel you. My girls have something to bring in every day this week!! Monday was flowers. They picked that shit from our yard. Yesterday was I had to write notes to the teachers - which wasn't bad. I let them know I did appreciate keeping them safe while at school and making sure they're not illiterate meanies. Today was being a snack in for your teacher. My kids legit put a bow on a bag of microwave popcorn - unpopped. Tomorrow is donate supplies. And Friday i forget. Something rediculous I'm sure. Times two kids mind you.
Edit to add: I love our teachers. I do. But I'd rather show appreciation by helping in the classroom. Giving teacher a break to get work done by reading to them etc. not buying things.
No kids here yet obvs, but I'm sure I'll feel the teacher appreciation day pinch soon enough! I will say, my momma is a teacher, and she does enjoy the tangible gifts as she makes like 40k maybe a year, plus spends a bunch of her own money on stuff and works insane hours. Although they just have a one day thing- @canonmom413 a whole week of very specific instructions is odd to me, plus some of that stuff, like come on.
Eta: not sure her salary, it might be closer to 30k
i just think it is ridiculous to demand gifts. especially in a DC setting when you are already paying an arm and leg. i understand the teachers are not pocketing all the money i pay per month. but we are already stretched so thin. and $20 per kid is a lot. remind parents it is teacher appreciation week and let them do something if it is on their heart...and let them do what is in their budget.
@carries2018@canonmom413 The last school my dd1 was at, they sent out a sign up genius for parents to sign up to bring in hot lunches every day for the week. Like full on salad, entree, dessert type meals. There was no way I was going to make something (I don't even cook for myself), get up early and haul it into the school (a good long walk since there is pretty much no parking lot, so you have to park along the street) along with a toddler who insists on being carried and two other kids. And then weed my way through the chaos of everyone cramming themselves through the doors and into the commons.
I will say while our list isn't mandatory, completely optional, my kids feel bad when their peers show up with something for their teachers and they don't. They love to give. Which is great. But this momma would love to keep things a little simpler.
That teacher appreciation stuff sounds a bit overboard. My mother is a teacher as well, and I know she always appreciated the little gifts at the end of the year and Christmas. But a whole week of specific gifts? That seems unfair to the parents.
Has anyone here taken Diclegis for their MS? I've been taking the 2 pills per night, and it has helped a ton. But around 8 each night, I start feeling nauseous. I thought it was the Diclegis wearing off, but now I'm wondering if it might be withdrawal symptoms and I should wean myself off. Wondering ya'll's thoughts.
Do not take this the wrong way if you're a SAHM. That school was full of SAHMs who didn't have anything else to do because all of their kids were in school full time and their husbands make enough that they don't need to work. So they have a very, very high parent involvement rate. (I think Great Schools rates them at a 10). But, there are still plenty of families where both parents work, so it makes those of us who don't have completely free days feel like crap because there is such a high percentage who will help with freaking everything. And then those SAHMs don't understand why the families with two working parents, or even smaller kids at home with no one to watch them, can't help with stuff all the time. Super annoying and frustrating.
In my head I totally think of the twins as girls so I assume they are going to turn out to be boys. If they are boys, I'll "blame" DH for wanting a boy so bad. The egg knew you wanted a boy so bad it split to give you two! YOU'RE WELCOME!
Wooo! I'm feeling movement today. 16 weeks so exactly 2 weeks earlier than with DS.

@carries2018@canonmom413 I'm right there with you. It's optional, but they sent lists home of all the teachers' likes/dislikes and then suggestions for each day of the week. The problem is, yeah, DD has one main teacher but there are a bazillion floater teachers that come in and out of her class every day. Sunday night I had DD draw pictures and let her name the teachers she wanted to do the for - ELEVEN.
Yesterday I let her pick a rose from outside our house to give to her main teacher. I have 2 $15 Target cards that I'll probably send in on Friday for her main teacher and her favorite teacher. But I do not have the time, energy or moolah to be doing 11 gifts every day. I swear, I appreciate them.

I bought two boxes of Bottle Caps candy last night. I have picked out all the good flavors and left the crap ones (root beer and cola, yuck) for the kids and dh
As a teacher, it means a TON more, when a kid gives me a nice note or something that they've done on their own accord. It's even better when it's random and not on a specific "Appreciation Day." I have this awesome binder full of sweet things my students have given me and I look at it when I'm having a bad day. I also teach high school, so those things are few and far between as compared to Elementary school.
Our school is providing us breakfast and lunch every day this week, which is so nice. We used to just have one special day and now it's blown up into a week. I'm not sure when it got to be such a big deal, but that's kind of how everything is these days if you think about it.
Well, I finally heard back from the nurse. My doctor doesn't work today, so I have an appointment tomorrow at 8:30am. I guess they have 72 hours to give me the Rhogam shot. If it gets worse I'm suppose to go to the ER.
So I guess I'll just sit here being strung out til then.

I've been trying to hold my sneezes in since last week because I'm too scared to bleed again, but my allergies are killing me, haha.
@natleilynn what a crappy symptom! At least you don't have to deal with an office today
