Sh*t People Say to Pregnant Women

Here's good venting thread for when people decide that it's totally appropriate to say inappropriate things just because you're pregnant and there for they have free reign. Or it could be just things people say/ask that irk you.

"Better get your sleep now you"ll never sleep again" or " just wait, you have no idea what you're in for"  when it's your first pregnancy you're like yeah well no shit I have no idea what I'm in for but thanks for the positive encouragement !
I got that when I was having my son, my first. I breastfed and slept a lot when he did. And still managed to get stuff done. Best advice I got was sleep when they do even if it's an hour up and an hour down. It adds up!
  • @emwj10187 lol yeah everyoneee has asked "are you excited?" And I'm not sure what answer they're expecting?

  • No one said anything to me, but I got stares. I don't even think i look that pregnant, but I had 1 glass of red wine the 1.5 hour DH and I were out to eat. When I stood up to go pee, the looks I got from the table across from me pissed me off!
  • @curlyq423 it would have been so hard for me not to lose my mind on that lady in your situation.   :o

  • @TallMomma29 Yeah I was NOT happy. Luckily I don't float down to that area anymore so I don't have to see her.
  • "Eww you're having a baby? Ugh I don't want any. Ever."

I'm here like damn I'm sorry my unborn baby disgusts you so much. She's better off not having any.

I got my first one the other night at the pharmacy. Went to pick up a prescription, it was flagged and they had to ask me if I'm pregnant. I answered yes. So as I'm going to leave, the tech goes "oh here's a coupon you'll be needing. Not now, but soon I'm sure". It was a formula coupon that printed out at checkout. I just looked at her and go "probably not, but thanks"

Thank you for assuming how I'm going to be feeding my baby.

I get a lot of "you didn't waste any time!"  Since we got married in August.  Thanks.   I can count too.
Same! We got married in Nov. Some relatives have wondered if I'm following in my parents footsteps since I was born a few days before their 10 month anniversary
