Maybe i was just looking for an excuse for my cold heart and grumpiness??
On an unrelated note. My chiropractor asked me if I had my birth plan all ready to go. I was thrown off guard and just said yep, all ready. But the truth is I'm not doing a birth plan. I have things in my head how I want them to go and have talked to my doctor some and will again. I just thought it was an odd question I guess. Plus I still feel like June is so far away! I know it isn't. Maybe when May hits it will feel more real!
I'm definitely swelling. My fake ring doesn't even fit anymore. I miss wearing my real jewelry. And I am down to three pairs of shoes that I can get on my feet - 9 weeks to go!
All of you ladies that are more emotional and crying lately/this pregnancy . Are you having girls or boys? I know this is one of those really dumb old wives tales or maybe just me but I've found I'm slightly cold hearted and not emotional with my girl pregnancies and cried over everything with my son. I'm probably just crazy.
I'm crying over everything and having a girl.
Me too. Having a Girl and having more emotions than I did with my boy. Though, I do specifically remember being a slightly angry Facebooker with son.
Edit for clarification cuz preggo brain makes me stupid with words
@Jenna312 Reflux is just another joy of pregnancy. Delivery is the only cure and mine starts in the second tri without fail. It is what it is. Meh
+1 to all the emotions. I'm entering the "protective" phase of pregnancy that I seem to hit each time. I got into that place where I think "What if that was my baby!?". Any sad news story about a baby or young child has a heavy impact on me. Today was Patriot's Day here in MA and we had Marathon Monday. Every time the Richard family was mentioned or little Martin's picture came up on TV my soul hurt.
Well, I have only been emotional occasionally, so I thought. I googled what hiccups in utero felt like and came across a message board with what hiccups could mean. Half the women said it was a good sign while some wrote things that had me freaking out. Not to mention, we were watching Chicago Justice and all of a sudden lady on there is carrying around a blue, deceased baby. Oh I lost it! Tv off and full waterworks. Hubby said no more googling lol
Pregnancy brain to the max. Like really bad forgetfullness too. This weekend I forgot to pack both my glasses and my contacts and had to wear my moms contacts which are half the strength. No driving for me. Ive left our gas oven on twice in the last few weeks and last night left the garage door open. My husband came home from work at 11 and was like WTF?! Youre sleeping with a toddler in the house with doors wide open for the world to come in?! Im going to set an alarm on my phone for before I go to bed that says Check all the things!
I don't know who mentioned it, but I get that cramp on my lower right side from walking too and I need to slow down. We just got back from FL, and I had zero issues with swelling prior but my feet and ankles are now unrecognizable to me. I'll be keeping them up all day and drinking a ton of water, but it feels so weird!
@mombod, the pregnancy brain is so bad. I literally put a plastic lid on a stove burner. I have no idea why or what I was thinking, but flames ensued and I'm still literally dumbfounded as to why I did that.
Last night I had my first real pregnancy brain experience when packing a bag to housesit overnight! I forgot to pack my contacts, glasses, or pantyliners. My husband brought my glasses this morning on his way to work, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed today isn't too 'swampy'
@mkrlx That was me. The cramp is really only when walking.. I guess propelling my whole body forward is just too difficult now. It doesn't happen with the elliptical or walking in place.

I did this with a plastic bag and couldn't figure out why the pan wouldn't get hot it cook the food.
@FSUNole31 I have no chill. Once I get frustrated or angry, I'm just like that for hours. It's really hard/impossible to wind down.
Someone who was driving like a moron honked at me and I had to sit in my car for five minutes when I got to lunch to get my fury under control enough to order. I was still grumpy the rest of the day.
I'm having a lot of period like cramps today and a sharp pain in my pelvic/groin area just on the right side. I'm trying to change positions and drink some water to see if it goes away. It's probably just RLP but it's different than I've felt so far! I kind of want to call the Dr if it doesn't go away but I don't want to be that FTM that calls and goes in because of gas or something! DH will be home soon so I will see what he says I guess.
Does anyone feel like they can tell when baby changes positions? I had really intense pelvic pressure/pain (some from fibroids) most of last week and then all of a sudden this morning it was gone. She was confirmed head down last Thursday but is usually sideways. I'm not sure if the absence of the pressure means she moved. I'm not too worried about it. More wondering if it's possible to tell how baby is positioned based on how I feel.
@alm52386, call your doctor and let them decide whether you should go in. It's always better safe than sorry. I'm sure your doctor's seen actual silly FTM things but would not count this as one of them. They're there to care for you and baby and reassure you when needed.
My sciatic nerve just sent a serious stinger down my leg and made me fall. Luckily I didn't hit anything on my way down and fell on my side/butt. I knew it was bound to happen eventually, I'm just thankful it happened at home vs work or out in public.

As many have told me, it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd call too. Keep us posted.

I called my doctors office a whole bunch. I didn't care. Best to call than have something happen to you or the little one. My own hubs thought I was being overly dramatic about the pain I was having when I went to triage complaining of pain. We all know how that turned out.
I feel like she has dropped quite a bit in the last week. I can breathe better and the pressure down there is unreal. It almost feels like she is pushing down. Those sharp crotch pains really stop you in your tracks!
The discharge has reached a ridiculous level. When my OB told me a couple months ago that I might get so much I would want to change my underwear during the day, it didn't register with me. I thought, yeah I've got some now, but it's not so bad.... I was wrong. It has hit me with a vengeance this past week or two.
Question: How often does your doc have you pee in the cup? My last pregnancy I had to do it every time starting at 25 weeks ... this time I haven't had to do it except for one lab test at 16 weeks.

Every visit. I'm getting pretty good at it by now.
I also have to pee in a cup every visit. I've gotten to where I can hold the cup like, right over my urethra and it all gets in the cup. None on my hands or all over the cup. I feel like a pissing superstar. Except that the last couple appointments I keep forgetting I'm supposed to be going in a cup and panic halfway through and just end up turning in barely anything.
Re: the pee cup. If it's a full-sized cup, just completely push it up against your skin and none can escape. I used to worry it would overfill, but it's never even close. It's works every time!

Samesies. Lots of pressure, lightening crotch. I can definitely tell he is head down!

Every time!
RE: pee getting everywhere It helps me to pee a little first to see where it's going and then fill the cup.
Thanks for the advice ladies! The pains lessened and we went to our CPR class last night and by the time we got home they were gone. If they come back today I'll for sure be calling!
I only had to give a urine sample at my very first appointment. And that one time I thought I had a UTI. Everything I had read about appointments said I would have to pee in a cup every time so I was surprised when I didn't have to. We are switching to a midwife next week so maybe they will start doing urine tests? What do they check for every time?
For real, @Stankonia2014 ? Mine is always in a plastic lab cup with a lid, clearly labeled with my info and OB's name! I would worry that they could accidentally switch my pee with someone else's!

Yeah. We give it directly to the nurse and she uses the test strips right in the room, then she dumps it right away.

Today's symptom is most likely fatigued induced, but I hate everyone today.
Also, if I'm not sitting down, my pubic area feels like it's going to split down the middle today. I'm hoping it gets better tomorrow.
