This isn't one of our usual threads, but I think we could all use a happy thread this week! At least I could.

What are five things that have you feeling good today?

1. I'm wearing a maternity dress that, dare I say, I actually feel sexy in.
2. We're going out with friends for dinner - their baby is due a month after ours. 
3. I'm treating myself to Starbucks before I get to work.
4. DH scrubbed the bathroom floor on his hands and knees last night and asked for a cleaning list for today. He's stepping up!
5. Our move is really coming together and I think we'll be done packing this weekend.

1. My neighbor gave me two jam packed bins of clothes to go through and she had some really great stuff
2. I got my coffee before I logged into work instead of after
3. My son actually ate his banana this morning instead of recreationally peeling it and then leaving it on the counter
4. I am going to make the payment to hold daycare for spots for both my inside and outside kids today, what a relief!
5. Dinner tonight it going to be leftovers so I don't have to cook

1. I took the day off, just because, so I'm going to do random things I want to like get Starbucks and visit Target for no reason.
2. @WombThereItIs 's #3: "My son actually ate his banana this morning instead of recreationally peeling it and then leaving it on the counter". That made me smile and get excited again for this LO.
3. We've almost finished unboxing/setting up the rest of the baby stuff from our showers.
4. Thursday is generally our night to eat out, so I don't have to come up with something to cook.
5. After this week, I only have 2 more weeks of work!

1. I'm taking the train into NYC today to have lunch with a friend ... kid-free!
2. It has been over 60 degrees all week, including a couple really warm days, so I finally got to bust out my maternity shorts and dresses.
3. My kid pooped in the potty for the first time!
4. Preschool is closed 1.5 weeks for Passover, so my husband took time off work to help out around here. My massive to-do list is finally getting shorter.
5. My new stroller arrives today!

1. I am off work tomorrow and leaving early today. 
2. DH is fixing my lawn mower so I should be able to cut the grass tonight. (It's my zen chore and I'm hoping to get a few passes in before I have to hand it over to DH for the summer)
3. DD is spending the day with my mom and nieces which she has been looking forward to all week. 
4. We get to see and hear our baby beluga again tomorrow. 
5. My package of dresses from Motherhood should arrive today.

@skzw - It was probably just good timing/luck, but it definitely gave me a boost of confidence that we can eventually tackle potty training. I've been so scared of it!

1. As exhausting as I know it will be, I get a full day of Mommy-son time with DS.
2. We're meeting a friend for lunch, and I'm so ready for a taco I can't put it into words. 
3. Easter Bunny pics - guaranteed to either be adorably sweet or adorably petrified!
4. Chiropractor visit to help my poor old lady body 
5. Nap time (for both me and DS!)

1. H cleaned (most) of the bathroom last night. He's typically in charge of the shower and floor, but did the shower and sinks/counter last night. Still need to do the floor and toilet, but we don't have a swiffer yet and I'm not getting on my hands and knees haha
2. H cleaned up after dinner, too! 
3. We went to Culver's to get the flavor of the day, s'mores! One of my favorites! 
4. H called the cable company and we got the tv's working again and he was able to get $30 off of the install fee that we shouldn't be paying for (that's all the guy was able to do last night, but told us to call or email during business hours for the rest). 
5. We have our 2nd Lamaze class tonight and we have to bring pillows! Guessing we are going to be learning some techniques, which I'm excited about! The guided imagery we did last week is just not my thing. 

Wow all about H today! He makes me happy all of the time, but when he does things like this it makes me even more happy.

Thanks for starting this, @kns1988! I woke up feeling like I'm coming down with something, so I'm doing my best to drown myself in OJ and positivity

1. This weekend is my 30th birthday! My BFF sent 30 adorable balloons to my office, and H and I are going on a small getaway this weekend--great food and perhaps even a couples massage are in store!
2. Even if I end up getting sick and we can't go, I would be perfectly happy having a lazy three-day weekend with H. He's one of those people that make you feel better/happier just by being around them.
3. I get to have a phone date with my BFF today!
4. I was really worried about some data issues on my dissertation after a meeting on Monday, but now I don't think it's going to be as terrible as I had expected.
5. Black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream (enough said).

1. Stayed up late to finish work for a client, so I have the entire day to do stuff around the house.
2. I get to schedule my c-section tomorrow.
3. Tried on my dress for my shower this weekend and I still love it. (purchased 6 months ago)
4. H remembered to run an errand for me this morning.
5. Am enjoying a relaxing morning and feeling good in general.

@L1C4gal - Happy birthday!

1. I slept through the whole night!
2. I get to finally get some small projects done while DS in school today.
3. DS is spending the weekend at his cousin's. We'll pick him up on Sunday when we go over for Easter dinner. That means more time to get stuff done and even relax!
4. Book club tonight! It's basically my night out with the girls for the month. 
5. Went to Target and got to complete my registry (at least the in-store part one). I love that place.

Love this thread! And I am very jealous of the #2 in the potty!

1. My almost 3-year-old woke me up by telling me, "I love you, {my first name}" which had me cracking up! I'm like, you can call me mom. 
2. We found a preschool we love!
3. This morning will be my 3rd time this week waking up early to exercise, something I'm usually not great about. 
4. I placed one last order of baby essentials online and I'm feeling like we've got what we need now. 
5. My parents are taking DS to my Aunt's for Easter so H and I can paint our bedroom and do a mini makeover.

1. I'm having a good hair day, despite the fact that it hasn't been washed in 3 days.
2. I'm drinking a mcdonalds diet coke. 
3. Tomorrow I'm having a little mommy & me photo session with ds. All I want is one precious picture displaying my bump and my love for my DS. I'm so sentimental when it comes to my babies! 
4. I'm going into work late and I may or may not leave at my usual 4pm. 
5. I'm excited to scatter Easter eggs in the yard for ds this weekend! 


It's nice to complain but also fun to hear about the good stuff going on with everyone. Good thread @kns1988, id be shocked if I saw my husband scrubbing floors on his hands and knees! His mom would come over and do it for him before that would ever happen at my house.

And @ChristinaWild, it's a delightful flavor that a local Cincinnati ice cream place (Graeter's) makes--we don't live around there anymore, but Kroger often sells that brand since they're a Cincinnati-based chain (so maybe if you have a Kroger?). Last week I saw on Facebook that a Cincinnati brewery had modeled a beer after the ice cream flavor--since I can't have the beer but of course immediately wanted the ice cream, H went on the hunt and found a Private Selection (fancy Kroger brand) version that's just as good. Other brands might make something comparable as well...it's worth looking for! Good luck!

Five things? Oy. Glad we're doing this, though. It's fun to read everyone's!

1. I'm getting to watch my sister's DNP (doctoral) presentation and I wasn't able to before because I worked but I'm only doing 8 hours instead of 12 today.
2. I'm going away tomorrow with my sister. That means today I get to pack and I love packing.
3.It's a beautiful sunshiney day.
4. DH and I are both very excited for this baby to come and it's nice to hear him talk about it.
5. We have Easter brunch plans and I've already decided to let it be a throwaway gestational diabetes meal so I'm really looking forward to eating something other than eggs!

@L1C4gal - I wondered if you were talking about Graeter's! My big brother lives in Cincy, and I fell in love that ice cream. I was so psyched when my Whole Foods in NJ started carrying it!

3. My midwife appointment is today. 
4. My husband is enjoying his new job. 
5. I get to see my best friend later, since I'm babysitting for her this evening.

I love this. Keeps things in perspective. 

1. Being home instead of the hospital. 
2. My mom. Who watched the boys while I was gone for that week. 
3. My husband who is being amazing and at my side constantly. I can't even get him to go back to work. He's insisting on working from home. 
4. Friends. Honestly when we moved here a few years ago I didn't have more than one mom friend and she didn't even love locally. Now I feel so blessed to have made so many great friends and have so much support. 
5. Home cooked food. Seven days of hospital food and takeout not only made me gain weight but just made me feel like I was stuffing my feelings with junk. It's nice to come home and eat normally again.

1. Since the girls went to the groomer we are finally doing an Easter photoshoot I bought props for over a month ago
2. Seymour (lawn roomba) is mowing in the pouring rain outside. 
3. It's Thursday and DH and I have this weekend and next to ourselves to do what we want. We have lots of date ideas and will see where the day takes us. We were told do spontaneous things as after baby we won't get to anymore. 
4. We finished our birthing class and infant cpr last night and Tuesday which are big milestones as that means baby will be here soon 
5. Got a weird bill from radiology; called the insurance company asking about it and they will pay so I saved $300

1) my family and a few friends are coming to visit today and we are doing a little maternity photo shoot in my room with DD. I've been looking forward to this all week ( @lrwardrop ditto, photos of my inside and outside babies)
2) my friend visited last night for dinner and brought a gorgeous flower bouquet of very unique flowers and it really filled the space with life
3) I have leftover donuts from yesterday that I am about to crush 
4) my favorite nurses are back today! Hooray!
5) one day closer to C-Day!

1. I have a Spouses Club luncheon this afternoon, which means a few hours of adult only time while both girls are at childcare. 
2. They announced yesterday that hourly care for post is only temporarily suspended and should be available again sooner than expected. Huge relief!
3. We have a work dinner for DH tonight, which would usually be something I'm not excited about but I'm going to focus on the fact that I don't have to cook dinner! 
4. Last hair appointment before baby is scheduled for tomorrow! 
5. And the BEST, DD2 is potty trained! Finally!

1. I'm really happy that my neighbor had a cookout yesterday and brought me over a plate.
2. Two days ago, the lady at the ice cream shop gave me an extra scoop for free. Yummy lol
3. I recently bought LO two pairs of soft sole moccasins for $10(each)!
4. I bought myself cute summer sandals.
5. I'm happy I made it another week without going into preterm labor.

1. My dog is being adorably playful and cuddly today, just what I needed!

2. I set up the baby's crib and pack n play all by myself to surprise H when he got home last night.

3. The weather has been great this week and I can almost feel a hint of summer in the air.

4. My mom and MIL have been really helpful lately with advice and suggestions about any baby topic I ask them about.

5. H has been really​ great lately. When I'm not thinking rationally or get overly frustrated, he's able to rein me in and find a simple solution to the problem. I can't wait to see him become a dad

Omg graeters!  When I first became pregnant our Kroger had just started carrying graeters and DH bought all the flavors they had for me bc he knows I love it.  My favorite is the salted caramel or the plain vanilla.  It's just that good!

1. I'm getting my favorite frozen yogurt after work today.
2. One of my succulents is close to blooming for the first time (I have had it over two years).
3. My LO is moving around a lot this morning and it makes me smile.

5. I have three weeks left of work until I go on maternity leave.

1. I found out last night my BFF and her family are coming to visit in August! I haven't seen her since my wedding over two years ago.

2. It's now warm enough outside that we're getting rain and not snow.

ETA: I spoke too soon. It's snowing now lol. So I guess I'm thankful that my car is parked in the garage.

3. I made it back to bed this morning instead of falling asleep on the couch after being up all night. Because of that I got to cuddle with DH before he left for work this morning. 

4. I'm eating leftover perogies for breakfast.

5. A big order of baby stuff is getting delivered today and I'm really excited about some of what's in there.

Love this thread! I've been in a bad mood since being yelled at by some jerk in the CVS parking lot this morning, so I need some positivity to get me out of my temporary slump

1. I'm off tomorrow and get to hang out with DS!
2. DH is bringing home pizza from my favorite place tonight (it's about an hour away)!
3. My book club meeting is next week!
4. We finally got our new (king sized) bed assembled and it's amazing! Also, there is now plenty of room for snuggles with our 80 lb pup
5. My sister. Nothing specific, I just love her and she's awesome.

1. Woke up to DS snuggling up to me!

2. MH is downstairs making French Toast. 

3. I'm going into work today at an earlier time and will end up home with DS still awake. Plus, it'll be an early start to a three day weekend. And, inspired by many of you, stopping at Starbucks beforehand.

4. After today, only 2 more weeks (7 shifts) before I go on leave. Plus, I'll qualify for FMLA. WOOOOOOOO!

5. 3 day weekend = all things inside baby related. Super excited to use my completion discounts, set up the crib in our room, finish washing and putting away clothes and organizing. Love organizing!

2. I went to the chiro this morning and he cracked me like a walnut
3. I finally found a dress that I love and am excited to wear it
4. We've gotten a ton of baby stuff done in the past two weeks, making it seem even more real!
5. The baby shower is this weekend which means that starting Sunday, H can't stop me from buying baby stuff!

1. Today is my Friday.
2. It is finally consistently warmer out in NY & it is supposed to be high 70's/low 80's on Sunday.
3. I have no open Etsy orders, which means I can focus on cleaning and relaxing all weekend.
4. My aunt makes the most delicious shredded potatoes and we only have them on Easter and I am SO FRIGGEN EXCITED.
5. I am finally showing a baby belly, which I'm sure many of you know how I struggled with feeling like I was missing out on that.

3. DS1 passed his segment 1 drivers ed test and is so excited to be driving!

Love this thread! 

1. My baby is currently sleeping in my lap...after months of worrying that a 36 week induction would have led to NICU time.

2. My PP recovery has been significantly smoother so far...I actually feel like a real person where as with my DS I remember feeling totally awful and overwhelmed at this point.

3. DH and I have been enjoying some lovely alone time with the baby while DS spend some quality time with the visiting grandparents. 

4. The weather is beautiful and it looks like it should be 80 and sunny on Sunday for Easter!

5. Two cases of wine just got delivered to my house! And I can actually drink them!
