Congrats for all the BFP's! A good month so far! Praying it gets better! I am having mild cramps here and there and a tad bit of nausea but feeling good over then that! Wanting to test but nervous at the same time!
Thanks @dragonette505! Ladies, what can I expect to happen at my first beta appointment? It will be with my gynecologist rather than the IVF clinic (so we didn't talk about what to expect there). Will it just be a blood draw or an exam or ultrasound too?
@clovelyone all my betas have been blood draws, they don't usually u/s that early. From my experience they have you come back every 2-3 days to make sure the numbers are going up, but mine are through an RE not obgyn. Crossing my fingers for you on Thursday!!
I took a test this morning and though I saw a vvfl so we will see. I need to go get a frer and test again tomorrow. They won't do a beta till the at home test is BFP.

What cd are you?! I'm dying to test! 11-12pdiui and 14 days past trigger!
I'm 9dp3dt and stark white, but I tested out the trigger over the weekend & started breaking out yesterday with some spotting today. I'm so sad but at least I was prepared this time since I poas every morning. I'll still go for a beta tomorrow to confirm but I'll be sitting down with my re later this month to figure out if I should do a round of IVF w/PGS testing or skip to donor eggs. I know egg quality is the issue & I don't know if I want to do another IVF, only get two embryos again & find out both aren't good quality. But part of me needs to know for closure I think...
crossing my fingers for everyone still in the tww!
@Aera11 I'm so sorry to hear you had a BFN. Virtual hugs for you. It's very hard to come to terms with using donor eggs, but I really just can't imagine never being pregnant so after I cried and got over the fact that my child probably won't look like me (although my SO could have really strong genes and that could have been the case with my own eggs), I started looking into the donor process. Take your time to think about it, it is a big decision. Best of luck to you with whatever you choose to do next.
Aera11 UGH sorry for the BFN. There are things you can do (supplements, acupuncture) that can help with egg quality, but they take about 3 months to be effective (the length of time it takes for an egg to mature and be recruited for ovulation). None of these things are sure fire bets, but many of us have thought it was worth a shot... for sure I've drowned myself in supplements over the past year.
***TW*** Got beta #2 back today. 662! Almost exactly double since Monday. I guess my clinic does a third beta. They want me in next Wednesday to test again, back to the vampires I go. I did the excited dance at work, probably completely embarrassed myself, don't care. ***TW***
I've discovered that a positive test doesn't lessen the anxiety/fear it just shifts it to a whole different level. Maybe after the first ultrasound where I can hear the heartbeat will help with that I guess. I've taken up coloring and I've done a ton of gardening this spring so far. It seems to help me let things go at least for awhile.
Thank you for the support ladies, it is so greatly appreciated. @clovelyone did you use donor eggs? Sorry, I am mobile bumping and can't see signatures if there is one. I am totally okay with my child not looking like me, if I can still give birth, breastfeed, etc. that will be enough and I'll be forever grateful.
@dragonette505 I do fertility acupuncture and take so many supplements I use ice cube trays to organize them, haha.
I am not giving up on my own eggs just yet. I am only 31 so maybe these first two rounds were just not meant to be...I just feel like we've been at this forever and it is exhausting in so many ways.
@Aera11 I love your attitude! Yes, I ended up using DE. I feel the same way, but I'm older than you and OOP. This was my first cycle, so I probably could have tried my OE again, but since I really just want a baby and my endometriosis will only get worse over time and could cause issues with carrying a baby, I just wanted to be pregnant.
@clovelyone how long did the DE process take? Did you go through my egg bank? After I talk to my RE later this month I'll have a better idea of our game plan, but I'm thinking we'll do one more IVF & then move forward. The first time they only got 3 eggs & this past time 6, so I definitely don't produce a lot. I know it only takes one but sheesh, we've put in two perfect looking embryos and nada. We're pretty much all OOP too, our insurance covers like 5%, which is better than nothing but I don't want to waste our money on IVF with my eggs if they're no good. DH and I seriously hope one day we'll look back at this and know it was worth it.
@Aera11 I went abroad to Cyprus for a tandem IVF cycle. If you have time off work, maybe that could be an option for you. Tandem allows you to try with your OE and have a donor stimming at the same time. My follies stopped growing do they canceled my ER and prepped me for the ET with DE. For flights (for me and my SO), accommodations, medications, scans and everything, we will have spent about $12K. I decided to go there to start stimming since getting the meds there saved us probably 5K so I ended up staying ~3.5 weeks. If you start the meds here, they say you should plan on being there 2-2.5 weeks. I submitted my information in November and started BCP in February. The only downside is that it's illegal for them to show pics of the donors. You can send them a pic of yourself and they try to use someone with similar features. You also receive a profile with details about their background and a pen portrait which is a couple of paragraphs the donor writes about herself.
I can take time off since I'm self employed, so I guess that's an option. Thank you so much for the info @clovelyone! The options seem endless so it's nice to hear people's first-hand experiences
@Aera11 If you'd like more information, check out the website at www.cyprusivf.com. A very prominent endometriosis specialist in NY referred a friend of mine to this clinic. That's great that you are self employed. I work from home so I was able to work from there and use vacation time. The Internet kind of sucks there though LOL.
Well it looks like I may be out this month 13dpiui poas and its negative. My clinic has me scheduled 4/17 for beta and also baseline. Now hoping af arrives so I can squeeze an iui in for the end of the month.
Sorry for the BFN @rel_1987 & @Aera11. I'm also joining the BFN group, I tested negative at 13 & 15dpiui. of course the witch can't come at a normal time, 12-14dpo, she needs to hold out just to mess with my head. I keep search FF for late BFPs after BFNs...quickly falling down the rabbit hole

@SoonToBeMommaHowe@rel_1987 I'm sorry. Hopeful AF can kick into gear so that you can move on quickly. As soon as she starts indulge in some wine and treat yourselves to something nice.
FYI, @lindyc13 last month's TWW got shut down for pregnancy picture tests. I love to see them but it's against "the rules."
Excited for you!

@stella_700 IKR, but it's my ob/gyn rather than an RE. Since I had IVF abroad, I have to follow up with my doctor here. It definitely sucks, but a friend just sent me a message earlier this week saying to be patient and not try to rush things because everything will be OK. She doesn't even know that i did IVF so it really helped. I feel like it was a sign
@clovelyone Don't you love it when something like that happens. You hear that comment or get that message that smooths everything out. I can ride the good vibe moods on something like that for the rest of the week.
Im so sorry @Aera11@rel_1987@SoonToBeMommaHowe i know how that feels but dont give up im sure one day, bfp will come true just have faith and treat yourselves to something nice take care. I wish all april tww many baby dust to all ☺
Ladies, I finally got my beta results and it was 2,518! My doctor was so happy! I'm assuming it can't be too high, right? I will get an ultrasound and another beta on Tuesday, but of course I won't get the results from the beta until Wednesday.
Hi ladies! I go in for my FET on Monday and thought I'd introduce myself since I've been lurking on here! Im 33 DH is 34, TTC for 2.5 years, I have PCOS, DH has some MFI issues. This is our first round of IVF/FET. I'm getting nervous for Monday but excited to move forward!

@lindyc13 When will you POAS or have a beta?
@rel_1987 Welcome and good luck and baby dust to you!
@Aera11 I'm still FX and praying for both of us to have great beta results on Thursday.
