This poly diagnosis is exhausting. Checking 2x a week only to watch it go up is infuriating. Also found out today that baby is measuring at 7.5 lbs. So now we are looking at induction in 2 weeks. My biggest fear is going into labor any earlier. With DS he just ran out of room and was big and I didn't even have the polyhydramnios issue. Back on Monday for fluid levels another NST and cervix check. I know there were one or two other mamas on here with the poly issue. How are you ladies doing?
@SKZW I have seen that periodically. I think they run out of the samples they put in the box and it is "unavailable" until they get more? Not sure how that seems possible.
Can BH just feel like a sort of constant stretching/ tight/ crampy feeling? My stomach just suddenly feels uncomfortable and it's done this before.
That's how mine are
Okay good (you know what I mean). I couldn't figure out what else it would be. I sat up last night when I was feeling this way and H was like "Are you okay!? Do we need to go to the hospital?!" Buddy, calm down. We're good. I'll tell you when it's time to go.

Aww. Lol. It's like literally "As soon as we need to go you will know immediately". They're so cute.
@mamatowildones fighting the poly battle also. Mine went up higher last week (from 28 to 31), blegh. Meet with the high risk docs in the AM for another US but started monitoring blood sugars yesterday (so far so good!), NST at the end of the week, and some blood work. And then do it all again next week. It's just so it ght and uncomfortable all the time!
@mamatowildones: I don't have what you have (I'm dealing with pre-e) but can offer a bit of solidarity to the multiple office visits being exhausting (with other littles to deal with to boot, I feel ya!). My weekly checkups will soon turn to twice weekly, and I booked them all from now til he arrives, and I had to take the slots that were available, and they aren't the greatest in terms of scheduling. Kind of a headache! ...
So your induction in two weeks, is that set in stone? Do you have a date yet? Or are they still taking a wait-and-see stance as to exactly when it'll happen. My doc is talking about induction too, and I feel like having a specific date might ease the worries about timing/middle of the night surprise/driving home from work/what to do with this other LO... but on the other hand, being induced makes me greatly nervous...
... Question for those of you who've done the Amazon welcome box... my page currently says "Welcome Box is currently unavailable. Please check back later." Have you seen that before? Is it just a temporary website thing or should I really wait a few days to check again? Thx!
Yes, that's normal. It went to that for a few days before I ordered mine months ago, too. I think that once they run out of stock for what they currently put in the box, they suspend it for a few days and redo the box with new samples.

I don't have it, but SIL has before. Honestly, we were anxious to get baby on the outside where there was a little more control. I know it's obviously not ideal, but remember it'd be okay if baby did come early. I'm betting they wont though. I'll keep you in my thoughts
@MrsFreeman2010 ugh! I'm sorry. I know how uncomfortable you are. I can't stand it anymore. Are you worried about your water breaking? That's my fear as I googled too much. Also, I find it interesting how different docs handle this. Mine didn't mention rechecking blood sugar. I thought of mentioning it but didn't. I'm at a level of 26 right now. Happy to have another may mama to commiserate with.

Oh it's so hard with the other siblings to juggle! I feel ya! The date for induction isn't set yet but if levels are still high next week she will schedule it for the following week at 38 weeks. If it makes you feel better my induced labor was a lot easier than my second non induced labor! You never know!
@mamatowildones I'm a little anxious about it breaking. The labor nurse inside of me knows too much which worries me but I'm just prepared for whatever. I've talked DH through worst case if my water does break at home and what needs to happen just because I like to have a plan. But I'm hopeful that everything will be totally fine. My water broke with my first at the hospital after I had been contracting for a few hours so if that could happen again it would be great we have an induction scheduled for the 3rd but I'm feeling like he might come before that.

Ok I have to ask, what do I do?! I haven't even asked OB yet. I assume I need to call an ambulance in case of cord prolapse.
@chickyclg it is def. agonizing. Everything is just so dang uncomfortable. Im a worrier when it comes to pregnancy too so i just feel like i go overboard sometkmes and dont even know if this warrants a call or not. I havent had any contractions and they were moving like crazy and then stopped. I have felt a few smaller movments since then though. And no bleeding or anything obviously or i would know for sure to call.
Thanks for understanding yall would yall definitely call for something like that??
@nda_roxybabe that is a good description of braxton hicks. And when they switch from bh to real ones, youll feel the same pressure and tightening but with real pain too!!
@Jkp7749 I would call if I knew for sure I had hit my stomach on the way down. It sounded like you weren't sure, since it happened so quickly? In that case, I'd probably wait a bit to see if I was still feeling movement or had any adverse effects. However, if at all uncertain, I'd call and not feel bad about it. No harm in checking.
Totally off topic but I received packages in the mail from people who couldn't make the shower! They just keep coming! It's like Christmas! And H got the giant boxes out of the nursery so we can actually put the furniture where we want it and start organizing! Ahhh so excited!
"A day without laughter is a day wasted." ~Charlie Chaplin
@mamatowildones I only plan on calling if I can actually see a cord hanging out. Otherwise we will just quickly get in the car and go to the hospital (no trying to get a hold of someone's to come watch DD, no showering or primping before going) bags will be sitting next to the door to just grab and go. In the car I probably won't sit straight up and down in the seat, either lay down in the back or more of a recline in case.
Ok i called... It was a dr i like but that hadnt been on call any other time ive had to call so i feel like maybe she doesnt know how crazy i am haha. Anyway she said unless there was contractions or bleeding all should be good
@BabyMC517 getting suprise packages delivered is so much fun, esp. when its precious baby stuff! Have fun opening!!!
I have BAD taste in tv shows and i know it but i cant help it. I have loved pretty little liars forever (dont judge plz!) and my husband just offered to watch it with me.....who is he?!?! Although- he does all of a sudden have an upset stomach now.
@jkp7749 - you don't need to feel bad about sharing your woes. What happened last week was so much more about give and take and you totally give and support others. We like hearing what is going on with people!

Jkp7749, I got hooked for a few seasons, but I fizzled out after a while. I'm a sucker for bad TV, too! I used to love that gypsy wedding show.. haha
I was crazy hormonal today. I felt like I was either going to cry or snap at my coworkers all day for no damn reason. I'm having a much better evening at least. Currently listening to the Les Mis 10th anniversary show with DH and catching up on the bump.

Finally caught up! I really appreciate all the unsolicited advice from the ST+Ms. You guys always bring up stuff I forget to ask about.
I had no idea you should start tummy time as early as two weeks. I'm assuming you would want to wait until they can hold their head up if you want to prop them up on a nursing pillow while doing tummy time?
@Jkp7749 I'm glad you called and put your mind at ease, and I'm happy there. I second guess myself all the time about whether or not I should email the midwives. I always feel like I'm being a bother too but they're so nice about it.
@BeachMommy2B I hear you on the cranky and miserable feeling. I've been able to get away with not having roller coaster emotions for the majority of this pregnancy, but I'm getting to the point where I'm so uncomfy I don't have the patience for anything. Poor DH tried to crack a few jokes at dinner about how slow I am and I went from bursting into tears to telling him off in one breath. I wish I could hide under a rock for the rest of my pregnancy so I don't ruin our relationship with all these emotions.
@lrwardrop Yes. I have boxes of RRL tea already. My midwife said not to drink it until the last few weeks, though. I plan to do dates as well, though I'm not sure how with my GD now. We'll see on that one. I have primrose oil, but hadn't thought about it too much.
Random question but has low blood pressure ever been a concern for anybody here? I just pulled up my care summary from my checkup today and apparently my blood pressure was only 93/57. They said nothing about it though so hopefully that just mean there's no concern there instead of overlooking it. A friend of mine who is 24 weeks now is being monitored for her low blood pressure so it has me wondering.
@Jkp7749 Don't feel bad! If you're worried, then the call is definitely great for at least a peace of mind.
@MrsFreeman2010 does your water breaking mean increased risk to LO? at least that what your concern sounds like, because at first I totally read it like why would you be worried about it breaking then realized otherwise.
@pshaortao Do you know what your other blood pressures have been? If you're concerned I'd recommend calling them and asking, or checking it a few times yourself. All drug stores/pharmacies typically have BP machines. Try to choose the same time of day and check it for a few days. If you're always 90's/50's I'd mention it.
@lrwardrop I have no idea what mine is normally like when not pregnant lol. @jayandaplus Mine has been that low twice so far. Just got a screenshot of where my BP has fallen at every visit since I started. But I'll look into using those BP machines next time I see them! I hadn't thought about that, thanks
pshaortao, I have low blood pressure like that, and they said to just make sure I'm well hydrated and to lie down if I'm dizzy. They didn't say anything about additional monitoring.

@pshaortao you are in good company. Mine is always that low, and I always ask if it's okay and am reassured that low is always preferred to high. The only time it's been a concern is when it dropped into the 80s, and they had me stand and move and retook it and it was up to 90 and they were fine with that. It looks like you might trend low too, so just ask your dr next time you're in to make sure.
+1 to red raspberry leaf tea through end of third tri.
Random laundry question: how do you get rid of the set-in spit-up yellow stains from onesies? They have all been washed but the stains didn't come out. These are either hand-me-downs or previously worn by DD. Any pro mama tips?
@pshaortao my BP normally is right around those numbers and has stayed that way during my pregnancy. Other than telling me how great it is, no one has said anything about it.
@chailife34 To remove set stains that I can't get out in the wash, I hang the clothing up in front of a window that receives direct light (or hang outside weather permitting) for a couple days. The sun bleaches out the stain.
@chailife34 I had a ton of white clothes with the yellow stains that appeared in storage. I removed all of them with the following: 1. Soak in a strong oxyclean/water mixture. 2. Spray visible stains with baby oxyclean spray. 3. Wash 4. Dry in sun.
@chailife34 - soak them overnight in OxyClean. I had a bunch of stained clothes when I pulled out our baby boy's clothes and soaking in OxyClean got rid of all the stains. I just laundered in gentle detergent afterwards and put them away.

@pshaortao not necessarily the water breaking itself is the issue. When there is so much fluid they worry that when the water breaks it will bring the umbilical cord out of the uterus with is which is a medical emergency and concern for the baby. The risk for the cord coming out is a risk for anybody who's water breaks but just a higher risk when there's extra fluid.
@pshaortao My blood pressure is normally that low. The doctor or nurse always questions if that's normal for me (if they aren't someone I see regularily and don't know). Unless your feeling different I wouldn't be concerned. My OB always says "I'd rather see it low than high!" At my appointment a couple weeks ago a different OB asked me if I was an athlete when not pregnant (hahahahahaha no.) because my blood pressure and heart rate were so low.

I posted in deals but just FYI apparently all Stride Rites are closing. They are going online only. So if you still have a store in town go check it out because they are clearing house. The one I went to this weekend had everything 50% off.
