Thanks everyone. Sadly the low sugar thoughts didn't help. I'm officially a gestational diabetic. The tech made it sound like a badge of honor. I was a blubbering fool for an hour. I'm just waiting not until my number is low enough they can let me go home. Then she'll talk to me about my next steps. I'm pretty bummed. Like I have one job, grow a human, and I'm failing at that. Good news, my family is much more supportive today than they were on Monday.
@DPandMB You are NOT failing! You're doing an amazing job. Sometimes our bodies just don't cooperate like we want them to. Head up, you can handle this!
@DPandMB Growing a human is hard as hell. That is definitely something I've learned in these last few months. So no, you are not failing... your body is just working overtime and sometimes that means we get things like gestational diabetes. Just take care of yourself and the LO and everything will be okay.
Oh @DPandMB you are not failing mama. Please don't think like that. GD happens! I've got quite a few friends who had it too. You are a wonderful mama. Know how I can tell? You are upset about this and upset with yourself. A "failing" mama wouldn't care at all. And you know what else? I know you are going to do everything in your power to keep you and that baby healthy. That's how I know you're a wonderful mama. I am sending you the biggest squishiest of bear hugs right now. Don't be so hard on yourself. Hug yourself for me.
@DPandMB All the hugs! You're a great momma to be so worried about your baby. You're not failing at all. Take this as just another thing that happens like morning sickness. Just focus on being healthy for yourself and your baby. We're here to cheer you on!
@DPandMB You are NOT failing!! GD stinks, but it's not like you did or did not do something to get it. You are doing the absolute best for your baby. (((Big hugs)))
@wyomama0427 FX for the job interview! Also, whenever I hear the name Cotton, I wonder if that person is a hobbit, because I am nerdy like that.
@Swazzle I hope your day gets better! ((Creepy internet hugs))
I went to the dr and I tested positive for flu. So DS is staying with my parents and they gave me amoxicillin and Zyrtec but that's all they could do. He said just said to keep taking Tylenol for fever and rest and stay hydrated.
@swazzle HOW DID I NOT THINK OF HIM? Scream is one of my all time favorites!!!!!!
One of my favorite memories of all time is my mom surprising me with an early dismissal from school and taking me to see Scream the day it came out. I love that movie so much! I also love all of the sequels too, no shame!

ohh hiiii everyone. I actually worked this morning, soo I've been missing. @kelseyrayay I hope you feel better soon!! @DPandMB I am so sorry about the GD results!
My friend just made a picture of her natural water birth her Facebook cover photo. It's the picture of them handing her her baby for the first time. She's in just a sports bra, baby is naked and still covered with goop, and you can clearly tell she's still sitting in bloody water with bits of stuff floating in it. I just...I just don't get people. Is it a great picture to have of a beautiful moment between a mom and her child? Yes. But to make it the first thing someone sees when they visit your Facebook page? Uhhhhhh...no. Just no.
@mrs_tacos I literally cringed at your description of her birth water... why post that for everyone to see... I totally understand being proud but as Jimmy Fallon would say...

The girl who shared the photo of her baby's blown out diaper a day or two ago is now ranting about how pissed off she is at her 7 month old for not sleeping. She got KU on accident by a deadbeat who was gone before she even peed on the stick... she shouldn't be a mom. She complains about everything. He's a big inconvenience to her. She always talks about how she can't handle him and how she just puts him in his crib and lets him cry because it just annoys her so bad. I just wanna slap her and take that baby.

People suck. Was she under the impression that babies are born self sufficient?
@kelseyrayay I'm so sorry you have the flu!!! That is so awful. DH got hit with a high fever, and then a few days later it came back with vomiting. All the hugs to you.. you can't even take Tamiflu can you!
@DP&MB I am so sorry you have been diagnosed with GD. You are not a failure. Your hormones and placenta are just making sugar a little more tricky to deal with. It's a good thing we know, so you can keep an eye on it to keep LO as healthy as possible If you ever want to vent/complain/talk about fears, I'm here, even though I'm Type 1 and a teensy bit different.

Thank you all so much. I really appreciate all the support. I love you ladies more and more every day. I got a chance to talk to my doctor and she was really nice about it. She was super supportive and said that she is confident that I will be able to manage on my own through diet. That made me feel a bit better about everything. I should be getting a call from the Diabetic Educator soon. I'm nervous for that appointment.
@kelseyrayay I am so sorry you have the flu. I cant imagine flu on top of pregnancy. Get lots of rest and fluids.
@labby18 we totally need a blog. I would contribute, read, and anonymously tag my cousin.
@DPandMB there would be so many anonymously tagged people haha. I think FB needs a tighter TOU like TB...and have people like the bump gods monitor stupid ish. lol

I would volunteer for this job...and probably take waaaay too much joy in doing it!
The entire town was at the walk in clinic today. He said 95% of people they swabbed for flu tested positive. So if anyone has to pass through lake park Georgia don't breathe the air. Everyone is sick lol

TOU 1. No pictures of pregnancy tests, poop or naked babies. BTW just a diaper is considered a naked baby picture.
Re: Weekly Randoms 3/27
@kelseyrayay Oh no! You need to go to the Dr.
@DPandMB HUGS! You are not failing at all. .
