Yall...i got my own tv in my urgent care room. Food Network for the win. Nurse did doppler! Baby is a okay with a 157 bpm. I am yet to see the doc for my cough tho.
@mrs_tacos how into MTG is your husband? It's the game mine worked on when we met and my BIL just started a job working on it! My husband basically plays any and all games since he is a game designer. He joked he wasn't fulfilling his nerd/gamer credibility when he didn't have a Switch the day it came out
false alarm ladies. just SEVERE allergies. got some zyrtec and a nasal rinse thing (kinda like a netty). if it doesnt go away or gets worse then I must return.
DH is doing a burn room tonight for fire academy! I'm nervous and excited for him. I bet he is peeing his pants with excitement though, this will be his first time running into a burning room!
@wyomama0427 That reminds me of those smoke houses they used to bring to my elementary school... it is not much of an exaggeration to say that thing ruined my childhood. I seriously had to be kept out of school every year that it came after I was taken through the first time.
@wyomama0427 that sounds scary!! (Yet very cool at the same time) I have a lot of admiration for firefighters and the lengths they go to for the sake of saving lives.
Oh no!! I'm sorry I never had anything like that I can imagine it was terrifying as a child though. Why would they put little kids through that?
I have no idea. It was terrible... I was in kindergarten and would wake up screaming with nightmares. I would also try to stay up all night because I was convinced our house was going to catch on fire while everyone was sleeping. They brought one to my school in the Fall and I refused to go through with them, lol. Bad teacher.
@HollyGolightly09 I remember doing something like that. It was like a trailer they brought to my school and filled with a fake smoke and we had to crawl out of it.

In KINDERGARTEN?! Okay that's just stupid. For real. No wonder you were scarred.

Yes!
I don't understand why you'd make little kids do this. I mean it's good in theory so kids can learn in case they were in that situation but seriously I can see how that would be scarring. Not cool!

Apparently most of the kids liked it. (Weird, lol) They came every year... I, however, only went through once.

I remember thinking it was kind of fun. As an adult though I definitely think WTF. Not for my kids.

I was, admittedly, a very scared child. I was also very serious and over thought everything. I was scared of things most kids probably don't even think about. (For example, menegitis)
ETA- I also called my mom to come get me from sleepovers several times because "there aren't enough rules here." Or "they do things weird." lol, I was not normal.

I made my mom come get me from sleepovers too lmao!
I'm awake and showered...it's not even 4am...what is this? My cats are even still asleep and I haven't turned the light on so I don't disturb their adorable snugglefest. Uggh. To dropping DH off at work. See ya sunday dude, you're lucky I love you.
I'll be in and out for a few days. This flu is kicking my butt. And I feel terrible. I even had the flu shot and still got it. Yayy crappy immune system.
Hahahahaha @labby18 I even tagged you in it!! I didn't forget my bump is in there! When I noticed the absence of your bump I hopped on IG and messaged you
@wyomama0427 i didnt realize your message was in reference to hdbd but just my overall MIA-ness haha. I've had a hard time with the days of the week this week.
@wyomama0427 WELL, i'm back! I had made that appointment for today at 1020a, and had told my boss about it, and apparently the interwebs is down at my office sooo I am just gonna go to work mad late as he is unawares that I went to the urgent care clinic yesterday. Shhh.

Eta spelling...it's before 4am.
I looooooove their middle of the night snuggles. And I'm glad it's "just" horrible allergies.
And it's making me laugh to hear there are other nerd DHes that are going to be S17 dads. MTG is my H's main hobby. It drives me crazy, because the cards are always being sorted and are usually on the dining table - but it also keeps him social. And I joke when he goes to tournaments that he will be one of the few there getting laid regularly and with proper hygiene.
Hahaha @jena333 i laughed too and then harder at your GIF. My DH played Assassins Creed, but i refused to buy the PS4 to get the new story lines (i bought the ps3 for him when it was brand new). I love Assassins Creed, i watched him play and i loved the movie too @wyomama0427

A little ate to the party, but @HollyGolightly09, your weirdness as a kid makes me love you even more. There is something so weirdly endearing about a really serious child. I did not worry about menegitis, but I did once convince myself that the floaters in my eyes were a sign that I was crazy, and I had to hide that I saw them or I might be put in an asylum. So I think you and I might have been friends back then.
Sorry I was also MIA for much of yesterday. I was up meeting a friend's new baby in a town about 45 minutes north of us, and in SoCal traffic 45 minutes is really about an hour and a half. And then yesterday evening I saw Neil Gaiman live!! There aren't enough heart-eye emojis in the world to express how much I love that man. He is a genius.
I just had my internal done today, after using two thingys (can't think of name right now) she said she couldn't find my cervix with either a short or long thingy and needed to use her hand. She then used (what felt like her entire arm) to find it and commented on how far back it was and that she was going to try try the thingy again, still nothing to 'grasp' onto so she used the long one (that one is uncomfortable) and learned my cervix was far back AND towards the right. 4 thingys and a hand today and not even lunch afterwards, feeling a little used today (jking). Blood work was done where they took 6 viles of blood this week. These are the two things I dread most and I'm glad they are done with! Now I'm at home eating ice cream, watching The Originals ( anyone? TVD? TO?) under a blanket waiting to get DS from school.
I love my DH. Yesterday after I got home from work, I went out and worked on our flower beds getting them ready for me to plant this weekend. DH came out to help me as soon as he got home from work as well. He managed to scrape out all the nasty crap the previous owners had left in there, loaded all the bug infested old rotted mulch from all the flower beds in the front of the house into the bed of his truck, and dropped it off at the compost spot in our field.
DH pulls up after dumping the mulch and tells me to shut the front door and hop in. That sweet man drove an hour into town to take me for my favorite frozen custard that I have been craving all week! On top of that as soon as I hopped in the truck, he had queued up "Hot Mama" by Trace Adkins's start playing.
I know I was all covered in dirt and gross, but DH made me feel like the hottest young thing. He definitely made my whole day!
Re: Weekly Randoms 3/27
DD 1 got her license today (not posting that picture because personal information) and DD 2 turned 2.

Sidenote, did we forget to do HDBD yesterday??
@wyomama0427 I was busy actually working yesterday and I've never started that thread before, so YOU forgot haha.
Eta...i found it haha and i typed something that came out way snarky and i didnt intend it that way and didn't know how to unsnark it.

Its Thursday and all I have accomplished is getting a pedicure and watching a season of Friday Night Lights.
