I finally gave in and bought incontinence pads. I don't know why I waited so long. Apparently, I was enjoying walking around with wet underwear smelling like pee. I gave in today when the mere movement of going from a standing position to a sitting position made me pee.

Oh the insomnia has kicked in full force. For some reason, my heartburn is ungodly today! Started right after breakfast and I hadn't eaten any of my usual trigger foods (coffee, chocolate, acidic foods). Now it's the evening (when heartburn is its worst) and my body is like "well f this... We are already suffering so why not eat all the triggers!" I can't stop myself with the late night chocolate binge.
@Elyse1384 dairy is supposed to be good for heartburn... which is what I tell myself every night as I scoop a big bowl of ice cream.
Funny I just told myself the same thing about dairy as I polished off a glass of milk... To wash down my ginormous brownie I devoured. I mean... At a minimum they should cancel out, correct?

Definitely. I think next time though you should make your brownie a brownie sundae just to be safe.
Is third trimester morning sickness a thing? I'm 28 weeks today and threw up this morning after getting ready for work. Not pretty. AND I'm still taking diclegis so I don't get it at all.
My bladder/urine condition has decided to come back in full force today after two days of being mostly gone so I can't cancel my stupid cystoscopy for tomorrow afternoon. I just really really hope they figure out the cause of the bleeding and that it's nothing scary. Normally I can be pretty calm about health issues but my hormones have made me a bit crazy with Dr. Google.
I woke up 2 nights ago due to several Charlie Horses in my left calf. My muscle is still tight from them. I want to massage it out but the LMT in me knows better than to work the gastroc (as deeply as needed) while I'm pregnant.
Also... sex hurts. I feel so bad for DH because the drive is completely gone at this point. He was so excited because of this mysterious "crazy increase in sex drive during 2nd tri" and that never came... it just keeps decreasing the further along I get.
and it it takes me a good 2 minutes to roll over now at night.. and I wake up every single time. Is this how your body preps you to live without sleep once the babies arrive?
I thought my iron was low on my check last apt but my doctor said it wasn't low enough that she wanted me to add an iron supplement yay! She said it would just make me miserable and my numbers were fine.
I do need to get better about remembering my prenatal. I forget more than I'd like to admit. I moved them to the counter of my bathroom so I couldn't pass them up.
Is anyone experiencing an numbness on their bumpity bump? There is this spot at the top right of my bump. It's almost as if it's fallen asleep. So weird.
@JessyKV - add me to the forget the prenatal club. I was so good early on, and now some days it just doesn't happen. I figure everything is pretty much developed at this point anyhow.
@jessykv my prenatals and other prescription stuff I have to take has taken up residence right underneath where our TV hangs on the wall in the living room. That way I never forget to take them. They're always within my line of sight at some point during the day.... and I'm lazy these days and the couch is my BFF.
Also anyone know... I think I saw Netflix is releasing the new Orange is the New Black season on Monday??? <--- not a symptom but will totally entertain me while laying on the couch miserable.
I keep my prenatals next to my toothbrush in the bathroom and take them when I'm getting ready for bed. The one I forget to take is my iron supplement, it's in my purse because I can't take it with my thyroid medicine or my prenatal so it's just a mid-day thing. I should set a reminder!
@Wearmi1 Wikipedia says the new season will be released June 9th.
It was my understanding they would release in June. I have a list of maternity leave shows including the new season of OitNB, The Crown, Stranger Things. (I'm behind!)
I don't know if this is a pregnancy symptom, but I'll often get what feels like a lump in my throat for most of the day. It's really annoying and I can't get rid of it!
Has anyone else started getting intense episodes of exhaustion? I had one today where it felt like a combination of not sleeping the night before, staying out in the sun too long, and having low blood sugar all at once. I laid down for awhile and eventually felt better, but it was scary because it came out of nowhere.

Have you had a lot of heartburn/acid reflux? Apparently it can be a side effect of that. Coughing is an unexpected side effect as well, both probably due to throat irritation. I've had all of the above pretty often.

Some, yes. But when I have the lump, I don't typically have much acid reflux/heartburn.
Well ladies I got myself a room with a view. I'm in preterm labor. I came to hospital have contractions 2-3 min apart. Hoping they get things stopped. I spent about 4 hours up on triage getting 2 bags of IV fluid and a shot of something to try and calm my uterus down. That didn't work so here I am.

Oh yeah, they're not necessarily at the same time, more that after the fact your throat can still be irritated which causes the sensation of there being something caught in it.
I'm doin okay over here. 50g GTT and TdaP today which I'm dreading (currently eating an omelette...)
LO is head down so I've been getting LOTS of rib kicks and I also agree with the previous poster who said her baby doesn't tolerate slouching... mine doesn't either! I think it flipped for a bit yesterday because I was feeling kicks a lot lower and kind of in my back, but this morning it seems back to typical. Thankfully my bowel and bladder has been good to me, so far. But the insomnia is rough... I wake up every night from 3-5 no matter what, and that is getting old.
Just grateful for this process but I'm starting to feel like there are some rough days ahead!
