I just checked out Amazon welcome box and says no longer available. And walmart welcome box is a subscription 1st box free but you have to pay the shipping.
@kmcdaniel7 are you sure about walmart? I just clicked on the link again and I don't see anything about a subscription. I believe they do have a subscription service but as far as I'm aware this is different unless something has changed recently. When I signed up no payment info was required and I don't see that anything has changed. Are you on a PC or mobile? When I was on mobile I couldn't get to the right page but works fine on PC. And yes, I did see the Amazon box is currently out of stock. I finished my registry requirements and signed up to receive an email when they're back. I'll update everyone if I ever get that email or see that they're back in stock!
Also, if anyone is interested, I received an email the other other day for a "free" hooded bath towel from hoodedtowels.com. Code is HT1245 if anyone is interested (not sure when/if it expires). They look cute but I've never tried them. I also assume this is "free" but you pay a good amount for shipping like the others.
@purplestars holy crap $14.99 is cheapest shipping on those hooded towels, I call BS seeing as even a flat rate mailer is like $6.90 with no discounts lol.
I think that is a different thing from the welcome box, I didn't have that when signing up but I know they do that and it's like $5-7 but full size things in it. They also offer a beauty one that my friends who are bloggers love.
If you are a Sam's Club member you can sign up for the Mom's and Dads club. They did a free baby box last year but the club gives samples, discounts, etc. I'll keep an eye on that again. Sign Up Here.

Great thread! Best pieces of advice... go in to stores to sign up for the registry. Don't create it online, since you get a free gift/welcome pack when you go in to the store to register at places like Target, Buy Buy Baby, Babies R Us, Motherhood Maternity, etc.

There is a google chrome extension called Honey that saves you money when you get to the check out screen on pretty much any retail website (including Amazon!) It tells you if there are coupons available or if the same item is available cheaper through another seller. I have personally used it and LOVE it. It doesn't spam your email (I never get emails from it) and I have already saved over $300 in the last year using it. We do a lot of shopping online since I have a toddler and DH is out of town for work a lot.
Sign up for the membership for caters and other retail brands you plan to shop at a lot (usually your name, address and phone number). It's free, but the coupons are waaaaay worth it. I typically shop Carter's outlet store near us, with a 40% off coupon, during holidays when things are already on sale, then you can use the store rebates on top of that. For black friday, we bought DD all of her 2017 clothes (shoes, coat, 6+ pairs of pants and shirts, etc.) for less than $100. We would have spent more than that had we shopped at walmart, and the quality is a lot better. Don't knock the coupons!

I put the Chrome extension in there as well and it alerts me to any website I go to that offers a rebate. They pay via paypal every (3) months. I have similar questions about sizing in Zullilly and other online sites. If I'm a small normally, do I still order a small in maternity clothes? Or do I size up?

If anyone is interested check out the MommyCon website. It's a convention where they feature educational panels and have tons of baby gear exhibits. Tickets are around $45. I had a friend who went and she loved it. They also give out samples and goodie bags. Not exactly free since you have to pay admission but sounds like fun!
@jessirh if you start Amazon you can keep it private, not sure on others as I had not looked in but if you want to get the welcome box after you spend $10 on your registry and not wait, that is an option! I bookmark things that way that I am shopping even if it's for other baby showers that are coming up lol
You have to sign up for Prime & add things to registry on their checklist. Once you get welcome box, delete items you won't need it don't want. I'll do this before I share the list.
Seriously guys, do the Amazon registry. Just got my box and it's pretty legit! A full package of wipes, a bottle, a toy, muslin swaddle blanket, Pampers diaper sample, aveeno lotion sample, and some nursing pads.
I just got my box from Amazon and it kind of sucks. It didn't have the things that others got. It had the bottle and small pack of wipes and a sample diaper, but everything else were those little free samples of creams. Oh and a bottle of makeup remover and an rxbar. Most of the samples aren't even for baby. There was no toy or blanket or anything else useful. I think I might use my moms amazon prime to get another one in a few months. Maybe they'll be better then.
@Colada584 bummer! I was reading some reviews on the amazon box and you're not alone. I feel like I read some contacted Amazon's customer service to complain and they received some additional items. Worth a shot! You can chat with them if you don't want to call. I would tell them the description says, "The Welcome Box has gotten a holiday makeover!

You either have to go through the whole checklist and add something for each one, or there was some kind of option you could pick that was something like "I don't need one" or "already have this". I don't remember exactly...but I did that for most of them. I'm on mobile right now but can get on a computer later and try to remember how I did that.
