Hi all! I just wanted to quickly check in. I appreciate all the good thoughts and vibes over the past several days. I have been doing very minimum lurking but wanted to let you all know that I am (physically) ok. Mentally I'm not in such a great space but I'll move on and get over it. I did start a blog to try and help me process everything and I thought it might do well to help write my thoughts and feelings down in some form. I'm not quite ready to come back to the daily threads but I will come back! I love all of you ladies and am wishing you all the best from afar!

@lulu1180 So glad you checked in! I've also been thinking about you (in the least creepy way possible). I hope that the blogging helps you process your thoughts. Take your time in coming back - we'll be here when you're ready!

@lulu1180 I'm glad to hear you are surviving and I hope it gets better soon. I started doing paper journaling and it really seems to help -- I hope your blogging helps you too!
@lulu1180 so good to see your (internet) face! We do miss you around here, but certainly understand you need to take a break. We will continue to love you from afar.

@lulu1180 I am third-ing journaling. It got me through some of my darkest times. Hopefully blogging will be the outlet that you need. Thinking of you.
@heatherdubrow I am in dire need of a haircut but every time I chop I have regrets and I have this stupid need to either make a big change or not go at all. Hope you enjoy a little you time!
FWP - I can't go grocery shopping during my lunch at work right now because it's like 60 degrees. In Chicago. In February. I am so annoyed that I'm going to have to go after work since I can't just leave food in my car. Yes, I am THAT PERSON that complains when it's cold and when it's warm and everything in between. No shame.
I joined two work week hustle challenges on Fitbit so I plan to at last come in somewhere in the top half of each group. I also am wanting to go to Zumba 3 times this week. I have lost 40 pounds which is soooo close to 50, so I am kicking it into high gear!

@lulu1180: Thank you for checking in! Lurking is always fine and we are here for you if you need it. Blogging/journaling can be a great release for stress, frustration and anxiety. I hope it helps you work through what you are feeling.
@lulu1180 so many hugs. Please take all the time you need. I am happy you checked in though and have found something to help

@lulu1180 hugs to you and going to say the same thing as everyone else. Journaling helped me through a lot, I hope your journey is as easy as possible. @ktcakes87 Holy cow! Amazing! @mschanandlerbong1214 I do a ton of barre classes and am frankly obsessed with them. A great workout though you have to supplement with cardio throughout the week. I go to a franchise called bar method and I especially like (most of the time) how picky they are about form and alignment the. Makes sure you get the most out of the workout while staying safe

@mschanandlerbong1214 I, like @WillRunForWine21, am completely obsessed with barre. I go almost every day... its a lot of lunges, squats, butt workouts, and light weight arm movements. It is so effective for toning, and a really challenging work out!
I just did my fasting glucose test and ran straight to Starbucks haha. My follow up appointment is in 2 weeks and I have to take the afternoon off of work for it. My dr is hard to schedule with and even though I only work a few days a week, it seems impossible to get appointments on my day off.
TW While in Starbucks I saw my dream double stroller (Bugaboo Donkey) that's way too expensive to ever justify buying (imo) and realized it's way to large since it's a side by side. This couple had twins so I imagine a side by side is nice (I wouldn't know) but I have to clue how they got to a table in the back. I have irrational dreams of twins or irish twins but I'm on cycle 6 without a single BFP so I highly doubt that will happen and I'm kind of okay with that now. /TW
I just had a migraine for two hours (so, minor compared to my usual migraines). Being alone during a migraine sucks as neither my cat nor my dog has mastered opening Excedrin bottles or pouring caffeinated drinks. And my dog abandoned me for the guest room because I was making noise while he was trying to nap.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@ktcakes87 Amazing job! @slaven Be careful what you wish for! My mom had twins and another 13 months later, so almost Irish triplets. I don't know how she ever went anywhere but the back yard! I do distinctly remember her taking 4 or 5 of us grocery shopping (because my dad never helped out) and one cart was full of kids, pulled by the older kids, and the other was stacked to the top with food. People must have thought she was crazy... and they were right!!!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 Part of my rationality behind wanting twins or Irish twins is that I can go back to work faster haha. I plan to be a SAHM until the last kid is in school so if they're all close together I won't be spending 10+ years out of the workforce waiting for my youngest to get into school. Funny how we plan for things that are out of our control.
eta: I don't think I need to say this but I felt like I should add that of course I would love a take home baby no matter how far apart the next one is or if there even is a next one. It's just one of those things I thought about when we started TTC and I thought I'd be KTFU in no time and that I'd have a baby right away and of course be a speshal snowflake and have another one right after just the way I wanted. Yes ultimately I just want a healthy baby but of course there is still dreamland where you have beautiful pregnancies and complication free deliveries and fast recoveries and babies that sleep perfectly.
It's Tuesday here but I just got around to making my batch of lunches for the week. George Forman'd some chicken tenders (not breaded or anything) and oven roasted yams and carrots and then zucchini, peppers, and onions. The yams are so good! It took a while even with them diced up pretty small (about 1/2" x 1/2") but well worth it. I used coconut oil, salt, pepper, and some garlic powder on the yams and carrots (forgot on the other batch). Did 2 separate batches because they had different cook times. I also set off the smoke alarm and my dog freaked out.
@lulu1180 I really need to read daily threads more, I completely missed your post! I understand needing to take a step back, I do it too from time to time. Writing down your thoughts sounds like a good way to work through your feelings. I'll miss your face; I hope you come back soon!
