The baby has dropped but her legs appear to still be long enough to get up in my ribs. All the pelvic pain now whenever I stand up/move positions. My hip has also started to pop whenever I try to turn over in bed at night. Third trimester joys!
My belly feels huge and hard and painful. My usual approach to sleeping (stuffing a pillow or a stuffed animal under my bump) is not working. This kid is doing something in there that makes it intensely uncomfortable laying on either side (my back has not been an option for a couple of months now).
Wonder if I should start sleeping in a recliner, but don't know how that will help. Just so ready for any sleep position to be comfortable again.
@lfrank12 I think baby has dropped as well, but I can't really tell because I'm still getting jabs in the ribs. Maybe she is just long. I'm feeling her way down low too, lower than normal.
I'm tired and feel like I could sleep all day, but I want to clean everything as well. My hips hurt so bad and I feel like I cant walk when I stand up. After I walk and move for a bit the pain seems to go away, but then it's 10x worse the next time I sit and then stand up. Can't win for losing. Come on baby!! You come anytime you want after this week.
All the tired in the world, I don't want anyone touching me at all, still struggling with the pelvic girdle pain x1000, ONLY 3 MORE DAYS! I can do this!
Today marks 40 weeks, and I'm feeling it. All the hip and lower back pain, and I feel so swollen and awkward. Everything itches, everything hurts--I'm ready aaaanytime now, kid!
@tishb only 3 more days is so exciting!! I'm anxious to hear if your pelvic pain improves right away. My doctor told me some feel better pretty quickly, but I might need physical therapy afterwards to help.

@MrsLittleMac SAMESIES. 40 weeks, due today, so ready to get this lady out! Add to that thinking I was having the C-section a week ago (cancelled because she finally stopped being breech) and I'm going a little nuts. My parents have been in town for over a week, having flown out for the C-section that wasn't. So we've all just been sitting around, washing baby clothes, and my mom's been helping us keep the house clean. They are supposed to fly back across the country on Wednesday, and it's looking more likely that there will be no baby. Anyhoo, symptoms: ALL the lightning crotch. It used to only happen when I'd been sitting for a while and the baby was in a non-active mode. Now it happens whenever, since she's sitting so low and heavy now. Sitting on the yoga ball helps, as does doing child pose on the bed. So ready!

Oh man @Vastra even though the breech flip is a good thing, you must be going completely bonkers. I hope she appears in time to meet the grandparents! Lightning crotch has definitely reached new levels of intensity. I was at an event yesterday that had me on my feet for an hour, and thought I was fine until it was time to walk back to the car. At that point, I got cervix headbutts so intense I had to just shuffle along. I'm sure all the passerby thought I was in active labor. Thank goodness H was there for me to lean on.
@Xstatic3333 My mom thinks the term Lighting Crotch is completely hysterical, and H didn't even realize it was an actual term, indexed in WTE. I gave a dramatic reading of the section on it, and they were both dying. Yesterday my mom and I made a BRU run, and in as we were going in she loudly asked, "How's the lightning crotch today?"

I've gotten so many fun new symptoms over the past week. I've developed an awesome new headache that won't respond to any pain meds. Accompanied with I literally can't see because my vision is so blurry and I have all the sparkly floating lines. I also got this cool new pain in the top of my belly that is sharp af and feels like heartburn, but also doesn't go away with tums or zantac. I think it's probably just her position. But it's miserable.
@LivingLaVidaGinger you might be having ocular migraines, which I have had several times since 2nd tri. The best way I've found of preventing them is to start my day with protein. If I have an egg or milk or yogurt (or any combination) in the morning, I tend not to get them. I noticed that I got them on days when I started off with a lot of sugar. So sorry you're having such a rough week!

@LivingLaVidaGinger that sounds miserable! Have you checked your BP lately? I definitely don't mean to scare you, but headaches, vision problems, and upper abdominal pain can all be signs of pre-e. Either way, I'd definitely let your doc know what's going on!
@LivingLaVidaGinger you definitely need to call your dr about those symptoms. They could be nothing, but they also can be signs of something more serious like pre-e.
@LivingLaVidaGinger please call your doc and get checked if you havent! Those are a bad combination of symptoms pointing to pre-E.
I've hit the dear God, please let this baby come early days. +1 lightning crotch all the time. Baby still hasn't dropped though so I've also constantly got a foot or butt up under my ribs. My bowels hate me. My hips pop in and out of place as I move-and the only place I can get comfy is in a weightless state of floating in the bathtub for a half an hour or so at night, which is quickly negated by the effort it takes to get back out of the damn thing.
oh the aching back. Seriously there is no comfortable position anymore. And so much rib and "ab" pain too. Once I hit 37 next week, I'm going to start doing all the old wives' tales things that supposedly help labor start. I am definitely in the "please God let him come early" club.
Chiming in with the others @LivingLaVidaGinger you need to call your doctor now. Those are signs of Pre-E.
Baby feels really heavy and movement is painful. Doctor today seemed pretty confident that baby has dropped, his head is engaged and that he will be hearing from my soon. The contractions are getting stronger and more frequent but come and go.

+1 to all of this... Lower back/sciatic pain, crampiness in lower abs, occasional rib pain (he likes to wedge himself in there). I'm at 37 weeks today and currently taking evening primrose oil and drinking raspberry leaf tea. Going to start acupuncture next week.
I feel like right now, my symptoms have leveled off. I still get an insane amount of BH but since I was still only 1.5 cm dilated at my last appointment, they clearly aren't doing anything besides making it harder to breathe or walk. I get pressure in my downstairs area. Occasional backaches, especially after washing dishes or doing anything that I have to lean forward because my giant belly is in the way. I get that weird cramp/pinched nerve in my inner leg that shoots down. I know it's from baby's position I just don't know what it would be called. I'm super tired all the time. I woke up completely drenched in the middle of the night. From head to toe sweaty gross. It's a lot of symptoms but they have been pretty manageable besides how sleepy I am. Oh wait I think I've started to accept the acid reflux as a part of life now, but it sucks big time.
"how to tell if you have hemorrhoids" oh the things you google when you're pregnant. I'm not even sure I have them. It could just be the fact that my body has been evacuating itself for like 3 weeks now. I go like 3 times a day these days (so much TMI).

I would say if you're not sure, you probably don't have them. You could be on the verge though.
That's kind of what I was hoping @Xstatic3333 . The internet said I could have internal ones since I don't have any bleeding. Either way, that sucks, I was hoping to get through without them
So, I started losing my mucus plug today... That is some fun stuff! Wondering if it is happening bc the dr checked my cervix today? I'm only 1cm dilated so not excited yet... Just wishing I'd invested in panty liners.
I didn't realize those symptoms were consistent with pre-e! So I have an appointment to go in and talk to the OB about my symptoms tomorrow morning. My blood pressure has been usually normal, it was a little high two weeks ago, but nothing alarming. And my urine so far has been fine which makes me think the OB will probably brush it off as nothing. I know these things can develop quickly though. However, my CBC showed I have low platelet count so along with these weird symptoms and some pretty crazy swelling in my hands and feet, googling it makes me think maybe it's HELLP? I don't want to be that person that makes a crazy illness out of nothing so I'll let you guys know what the doctor says in the morning. Hopefully it's nothing!
@LivingLaVidaGinger you're definitely not over worrying.. these types of things can develop fast and have few or all symptoms. The part that sounded most concerning to me was the abdominal pain you're having in addition to the other symptoms. That can be due to your liver and is something my doctor warned me to be vigilant about. I'm hoping it's nothing for you and you check out well, but keep us informed and be prepared either way!
I'm actually shocked they didn't have you come in for monitoring like immediately with the stomach pain. I hop it's just unrelated being pregnant blows things.
@LivingLaVidaGinger They won't blow it off. I've had great BP even at my appointment last Friday, but when I went in Saturday night (false labor) my BP was high and they ended up keeping me until Monday morning for a 24 hour urine catch, based on what they saw in the blood work. Luckily the urine catch results came back better, even though my BP stayed highish. Also, I didn't even have any signs of pre-e other than high BP.
@LivingLaVidaGinger I'm glad you're going to the OB today, and I definitely don't think you're over-worrying. My sister had HELLP syndrome, and it developed in a matter of days - she had had a regular checkup the week before, and everything was fine at that point (BP may have been a little high, but nothing alarming). It can come on fast. I'll be thinking of you, let us know how your appointment goes!
