@chickyclg , ALL teething is the worst! Also love seeing pics of toddlers not sleeping on their pillows. It cracks me up every time. I hope you got to enjoy a little bit of quiet time!
Was shocked this morning. MH told me he spent the night watching baby videos on YouTube. He watched videos on how to swaddle, calm a crying baby, etc. Whenever I try to talk to him about these things it's like he's barely listening. So relieved that he actually cares to learn this stuff.
Edited to add: I realize now that I probably should have posted this in SO Bitch & Brag. Oh well.
@bacorrea oh no!! I hate when my DD hurts herself.
Funny story involving ice. My DD went through a stage where she wAnted to put ice on EVERY boo boo... well she happened to be riding her tricycle in my parents house in her underware and fell off and hit her little vagina on the bar. Well she HAD to have ice, so when my mom gave her the ice pack and she put it down there she goes "ooooo"
what are some good apps to get? Ones that track labor, breast feeding, baby development etc. any suggestions from moms who have used them before?
They might have a better one now because it's been 3 years, but we used the Total Baby Pro and liked it. I also recommend the Wonder Weeks App. It tells you some of the developmental things that are going on and when they might be crabbier or sleep less.

@swe2 I third the wonder weeks app! I kept mine from DD knowing we were planning on another eventually. It's so spot on and made all the harder times much more bearable.
I can't remember the name of the app I used with DD. It tracked various type of feedings (breast, bottle, solids), bowel movements (which is important to track at least the first couple weeks), baths, medication, and more. It was free, but you could upgrade it and have it linked to another phone like DH's if you wanted to.
As for labor, I just downloaded some random contraction tracking app.
Also the NBR stuff.. Netflix.. Hulu.. digital books.. other entertainments. And of course, us
@starphish18 Thanks. I'm currently in the sweet as long as you don't have to deal with them mood, but like 85-90% of the time they are really awesome kids. It's when they remember that they're toddlers and gang up on me that they lose the cute factor for me lol.
I totally need a TMI thread for this one, but I don't see a TMI Tuesday today.
So *TMI* and *TW loss*
I think I have a yeast infection but I'm too nervous to treat it because during my last pregnancy, the baby stopped developing the same day that I took Monistat. I know this is probably crazy PGAL brain, but I can't bring myself to deal with it. I don't even trust the doctor saying it's okay because that's what they said last time and I lost the baby. I guess I'm going to at least go get it checked out because maybe *fingers crossed* it's just a normal pregnancy symptom.

FYI. I ordered my Amazon registry welcome box this weekend and it came today. It looks similar to what I remember of the ones around Christmas. It has: a hedgehog swaddle, a tether/soother thing, an Avent bottle, a pack of wipes, a diper/wipe clutch thing, and some lotion/cream samples. I'm pretty happy!
@ShadeofGreen816 - Glad you got your box!! I am getting SO EXCITED for mine that should be on the way. If I don't get a hedgehog swaddle, I will go to a dark place.
@kns1988: I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! Hang in there, get it checked, and make a decision once you have more info. Hopefully you'll feel better once you know if it's an infection or something else.
@kns1988 - Do you have reservations about Diflucan too? I had two yeast infections pretty close together early in this pregnancy and took that both times. My Doc even gave me a script to put 'on hold' in case I needed more. I hope you get some relief!
To everyone ordering the Amazon box, don't worry! It should be the same one until the box goes "out of stock". It seems like they use the same items (with slight differences, like @ShadeofGreen816 got a giraffe stuffed animal, whereas I got a elephant) until they run out of those samples. Then they switch up the box. It was "out of stock" for a bit before I ordered mine, and it was a different box before then.
I also loved the Wonder Weeks app. Totally helped me understand what she was going through when I wanted to pull my hair out. I also used the Full Term app for contraction timing and WebMD baby for tracking growth and stuff (though I'm sure there is a better app for that).
I know this was mentioned in last weeks random, but for anyone that missed it. Target has most Graco items on sale. We got our Snugride Click Connect 35 to go along with our travel system stroller we kept after DD for $101.00 instead of the $149.99 original price. (it wasn't exactly the color we wanted, but for $50 off I can deal with grey/red instead of black) They also have some of the other Snugride Click Connect 30 infant seats for as low as $80.
Finally trying to catch up! I'm pro more threads (that are relevant to everyone/nearly everyone/at least 10+ people). One I would love to see that other boards have is basically like a big "labor/postpartum dumb questions" thread. Primarily would be FTMs like me asking STM+s things but I always learn new things reading them! Not sure how everyone else feels about this
I agree. I think a labor/postpartum question thread would be nice.
I ended up staying home from work today because I've been having a lot of digestive distress since dinner last night. I decided to be productive still and check my email...I wish I hadn't. Can't the place go one day without falling apart? *sigh*
@jayandaplus I had one scheduled for today, actually, but had to reschedule for next week since I'm not feeling well. I've only heard good things. I was kind of curious how it'd be different, but it sounds like you lay on your back and sides and everything else is pretty much the same. I stocked up on gift cards over christmas, so I'm hoping I can get one a month from now until my due date. I've also heard they can be helpful afterwards for making sure your hips realign properly?
@BeachMommy2B All of the Graco Click Connect products fit together. I got the Snugride 30XL on the Amazon sale yesterday for $80. It will fit in my Snugride 35 base & stroller and it's only 7lbs when empty. My arm & back are pretty excited about that. We loved our Graco car seat.

You never know how strong your kid is until you have to put ice on their face.
