We had our follow up ultrasound to check Chloe's stomach. It's still on the high side of normal so we have to go back in 6 weeks to have it checked again. They said the amniotic fluid levels were fine so that means the fluid is going through her all the way, so no blockage. I guess the intestines are solid at first and then hollow out at 12-14 weeks and sometimes there is some webbing leftover which would make the fluid go through slower. Which could mean not eating enough or spitting up a lot later. I guess they can go in and clip it if that is the case. I know it's nothing serious but it makes me sad to think she might have to have some sort of surgery!
At what point are they "concerned" or start talking c-section with breech babies? Chloe was breech at both US at 20 and 22 weeks. We have another at 28 so I'm hoping she will have turned by then! I assume once they are bigger they can tell if they are head down or not from feeling the outside? DH is super concerned about me having to have a c-section so we are curious. We will also ask at our next appt.
Aren't they still supposed to move flipping around? Micah likes to be breech I'm pretty sure. He definitely has a thing for kicking me in the lady parts
My LO has been transverse as well with head slightly tilted up towards breech. I'll be monitored closely anyway with scans for IUGR, but I'm still getting kicked unfortunately low so I know this baby hasn't turned yet. My OB isn't worried yet either.
@alm52386 Even with twins, Baby A flipped positions at every u/s until ~ 37w. It was frustrating as his position dictated delivery options... whereas Baby B was transverse with his head tucked in my right rib cage since ~ 18w.
You could always consider seeing a chiropractor that specializes/has experience with the Webster Technique if she doesn't seem to want to flip and you want to avoid a C-section or your doctor doesn't do breech extractions.
@michaela0704 does it matter what position baby b is in? Isn't he supposed to be head down too? Just curious. My friend, who is grandma age, told me a horror story of having her twins vaginally. baby a was normal positioned birth, but then baby b came out one leg first and they had to push him back in and flip positions so he was head down. But that was before ultrasounds so they weren't prepared for a breech baby.

There's a doc at my practice that is known for his success in doing versions because he has massive hands. I've contemplated letting him do one on me if baby is still breech when we get closer to the due date but I hear they hurt like nobody's business so I don't know if I'd be able to handle it or not. I'm hoping when we have our US at 28 weeks baby will be head down so I won't be thinking/worrying about it so much!
@Stankonia2014 I don't. I go to Women's Health of Williamsburg. I'll ask the girls at work if anyone in the Bryan clinic who does them, though!
Ha! I work at Williamsburg. I'd be curious to know if there were any docs that you know of who do versions at Bryan.
Stuck in the box. But LOL what are the odds?! You know just who I'm talking about then! I hope if it does come to a version that he has more success than he did at breaking my water last time around! I don't work again til Tuesday but I'll keep you posted on what I find out!
@huskermom14, I should clarify, I don't work at that clinic, just in the Williamsburg Village area over at the VA by Hy-Vee. Sorry my post was oddly worded.

Oh gotcha! My mistake! We do a lot of our medical stuff in the Williamsburg area. Pedi, OB and pharmacy all right there. It's a great little area!
Re: Anatomy Scans Thread
thanks @Stankonia2014
DD2 was breech until she flipped at 32 weeks.
