How unreliable are blue dye tests? I just got the cheapest equate brand ones but realized that was probably a mistake.

Honestly, Ive never had issues with them. I bought them back when we first ttc since I didn't know any better. Used those at 10dpo for my first bfp and had fine luck with them. I know others that don't like them, so I dunno. Sorry not more help.

I used the blue dye when I found out about the miscarriage baby and the line was clear as day.
I'm just hesitant to trust any light lines. I got a super faint line last night when I took it, but for it being cycle day 28 I'd think it would have to be quite a bit darker to be trust worthy. I honestly just think it's the crappy blue dye.
  • Options
I've had awful experiences with blue dye. Three brands, all had light lines - not pregnant. Do not trust for early testing.

I wish this were SS but its not, my back has been completely spazzing out for the last 4 days....I can hardly walk. I didn't do anything, fall, etc. But rant, when you're in the TWW, what do you do? I'm trying to stretch, just a little bit of heating pad but only on upper back for fear of cooking myself, some Tylenol but not much. Ha ha, its funny what TTC does to your head. And hopefully not TMI, but I haven't had a BM in like 5 days so I hope it's not an impaction! I'm so tired from this keeping me up at night! OK, rant over. Thank you girlies. Now back to your regularly scheduled program..... ;)

in keeping busy constantly llooking at my opks and temps and then scouring the internet for charts like mine. Also I gave up the caffeine for the tww just in case. I only O'd yesterday and had 3 tiny drops of spotting to day before. I'm going crazy recording everything that's happening to my body. I can't even sneeze without analyzing.

pardin my grammar. I'm mobile bumping

@RiverSong15 thank you for the above post, from all of us :-).

@Uhlease13 @justsuzie @TScalei @brooklyngirl18 thanks so much you guys!! I think I'm about 20% better, I was able to walk down the street twice already this morning and using capsaicin patches (a little cheaper than lidocaine, both of which are safe to use. I have Flector patches at my office but they're nsaids so not until after testing, doh!). Will try and walk some more this afternoon.

@amberruka Glad you're doing a little better - hope it continues to improve with the walking this afternoon.   Ugh, it sucks all the things we can't do in various parts of TTC (of course, I'm happy to not do them if it gets the result I want!). I've been stressing all week and trying to keep a panic attack at bay. I have a prescription for ativan and as easy as it'd be to take that, it's completely contraindicated so I will breathe and tough it out.  When do you plan to test, cycle buddy?

@laeberge3 I was having bad panic a few weeks ago and I actually read that food intolerance can make it worse. I gave up gluten and it has made all the difference.  Anxiety sucks but it's nice you have the ativan just in case.  Thoughts are with you.
  • Options
@justsuzie I have been getting rid of gluten from my diet. The less I have, the better I feel! I have GI issues and they are a lot more manageable when I avoid wheat!!!

@KM2J I'm very sorry for your loss, but this post is inappropriate and hurtful here. You need to put a trigger warning (*TW*) on your post for the possible BFP. You should know how hurtful random pregnancy announcements are after loss or IF, and a random BFP post from someone who is NOT a regular on this board is the last thing I needed to see today. I know others on this board have been struggling with pregnancy announcements lately, and the last thing they need to see is a random BFP from someone they don't know on a board that is supposed to be their safe space.

If you had a negative HPT a few weeks ago and now have a positive HPT and have been having unprotected sex, you know that you most likely are pregnant again. I understand how anxiety inducing a pregnancy is after loss or IF, and that you may be in disbelief. But please, please, please take this post to PGAL, PGAIF, or first tri. It's just plain cruel to post this here if you haven't been participating in our community. I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.
So glad you are back @riversong83 for ^this very reason. Thank you.

@amberruka  I'm still debating too. I'm not feeling much by way of symptoms so I'm going to try to wait as well. I'm traveling Monday and Tuesday so I might forget to pack some wondfo hpts and resist that testing urge. Or I'll test on Sunday because I'm nuts, ha!

@justsuzie  I've actually been doing Whole 30 so I've been gluten free for almost three weeks. I think it's helping because I never went full panic-attack mode. I'm going to try to keep the gluten out of my diet as much as possible going forward.
