  • @reneeannemm I will hold out too!  That way I can still enjoy my weekend. (But obviously we will be thinking of it the entire time.)
  • Im so sorry for the unpleasant anniversaries @taggarab and @reneeannemm - Im thinking of you both and sending hugs.

  • My thermometer is possibly favouring temperatures, but I can't find one in Celsius anywhere. I got the one I have from a major drug store chain here, but it was discontinued at some point since I bought it (well it has been sixteen months I guess the world keeps spinning). Ovulation is as confirmed as it's gonna get at this point, I may as well stop temping for this cycle. I'll look in Montreal for a new one; they would never ever sell anything not Metric in Quebec. I super don't want to have to convert - I spend enough time thinking about my freaking temperatures.

Acupuncture today, which is always a relief, though it's face down, which isn't my favourite. I love my acupuncturist. He always laughs hysterically at my macabre jokes, which is really all I need.

This is the thermometer I have used for the past few years and I believe it has a Celsius setting too. I like it!

  • So I definitely have some sort of sinusitis going on and it sucks. I feel miserable right now. I've also been getting terrible headaches because of the sinus pressure and can't take ibprofen just in case. The next 6-8 days before AF is due will be brutal. I've learned some natural headache remedies but they aren't working. Pity party over here.
  • @jen83mn Cool, thanks a lot. I'll bookmark it and order it for next cycle, if I'm unsuccessful this weekend. Lucky it's on Prime here, but I weep when I see how cheap the things are on your Amazon.

  • @justsuzie Sometimes a little caffeine can relieve some of my sinus pressure. I don't know if you've already had some, but a cup of black tea or small cup of coffee might help.

  • Looks like I'm in the TWW again. FF put solid crosshairs on Sunday, so I'm 3dpo. Its way earlier than I expected, I'm supposed to have x-rays on my foot tomorrow, and I thought it would be done before my TWW. It's tempting to not go, but I can't imagine going the rest of this year without treatment, which they won't do without the X-ray because of my history of injuries and surgeries on that foot.

Gah! My acupuncturist gave me hope and I hate when I feel hopeful about a cycle. He said my pulse was strong - which it's usually relatively weak. He's never remarked on my pulse before! I shared with DH because there is no way I'm going through the rest of this tww alone with that thought.

  • Whelp, I'm out....AF 7 days early.  Had a pretty heavy bleed (much more than implantation) Weird?  I guess I'm only 2 cycles post loss so I guess it's not that weird.  Blessing in disguise as I was told to wait until my 3rd cycle.  Good luck ladies!  I'm rooting for you all!  @reneeannemm Keep on holding out on testing!
  • @justsuzie Sorry! It's really not unusual at this point for your cycles to be totally wonky, but of course it's super frustrating

  • Sorry @justsuzie.  Mine were really wonky too for several months post-MC.  I think my 5th cycle was the first one where I felt like everything was actually back on track.

I can already tell this is going to be such a long TWW for me.  It's 2 DPO and I'm exhausted trying to work when all I want to do is sit on the couch and wait for 10 DPO to get here so I can start testing (but who am I kidding, we all know I'll test before then).  Ughh I wish I could just sleep my way through this wait!

@laeberge3 your comment about the progesterone discharge cracked me up lol.  I'm on the PIO shots and there is a very distinct odor they produce...my DH says he's very aware it's in full effect because the odor is very potent!  Congrats on the great beta!

  • Im trying to magically change and interprete my chart. Girls, I'm still staring at it thinking wtf? AF only lasted 6 hours. So, hmmmm. Maybe I'm gonna be one of those pre AF bleeders. But I keep thinking maybe I O'd earlier and my temp tracking was not accurate?  Just frustrated. Plain and simple.
  • @amberruka Booooo I'm sorry

@justsuzie Could be any number of things. This was your second period after loss, yes? Sometimes the second one is super light because your lining hasn't had a chance to thicken yet. This could be bleeding for another reason other than AF, whatever that might be.

Can you post a link your chart (I'd prefer to see it in Celsius which I can do online)? Did you temps dip when the bleeding started or are they still elevated?

As for inaccurate temping: one or two wrong days isn't going to obscure O most of the time, as it's general patterns you're looking for, which is always a challenge at first, with or without odd bleeding.

    A couple other questions:

What was your luteal phase like before loss, if you know?
How heavy was your last AF? My first was very heavy and clotty, the second was lighter and then I reached some kind of personal equilibrium, which honestly my body is still working out.

  • I have to rant a little.  **TW, maybe, I'm not really sure**
My best friend's sister had a MC at 16 weeks and just found out she's PG again.  I'm happy for her, I truly truly am.  But I'm sitting here at 3DPO on my 7th cycle of TTC after MC and I'm just trying to get through the days, and to get a PG announcement text out of the blue feels like a punch to the gut.  I've told her repeatedly that I can't talk about PG announcements or new babies because it's too painful.  I get that she is excited and just wants to share that since we're so close, but she clearly doesn't understand how painful it is for me to hear.  I hate having to keep telling her how fragile I feel, it makes me feel so weak and every time I have to repeat it I feel so frustrated.  I just stopped responding to her texts but I'm still mad about it.  Ugh I hate this process so much.  It's all so unfair.
  • Update - and now there's a baby in the office.  Can I just go back to bed please.
  • @migdala I'm so sorry....especially since you told her repeatedly how difficult it was for you. Yesterday at work I had to see a really young girl accidentally PG now 6 months, complaining about having to take her GTT twice.....smiling and nodding, but inside like, "bitch.....I WISH I could complain about a GGT."

  • Didn't know how to email link so here....

...I'm so new at the charting so I don't know if I did it right.  I temp every morning at 7am.  I didn't chart BD because we weren't trying this cycle.

What was your luteal phase like before loss, if you know?
I was 14 days on the dot.  I was very "normal".

How heavy was your last AF?
    4 days as usual

So confused so just waiting it out to see what happens.
  • @migdala - Oh Im so sorry thats just hard. My friends don't get it either and it just stings even more that people are inconsiderate about it. I know its been said before but I think people just really don't get it. Sending you hugs though - that's just tough!

@justsuzie - After my first loss I spotted ( sometimes heavy sometimes light) for about a week, which I thought was my period. Then I got my period a week after the spotting started which lasted for 4 days. I then spotted for about a week and a half after that. Sometimes it was so much that I needed a pad. I called my drs office twice about it bec I was getting so alarmed and they basically said that anything goes after a mc and there was really nothing that could be done about it.  After that my cycles returned to normal and after my second loss AF was fine right away. I know I was freaked out too not knowing what in the world was going on with my body. Hopefully your body will regulate soon.
