I'm all about lurking on other BMBs. My favorite things to stalk are baby name threads, birth announcements, and any/all drama. If anyone knows of good drama going down, please share. August 2017 has some fairly decent drama over starting a FB group, though that's pretty boring. They do already have a HDBD thread, which is hilarious.

@kayemjay2 There is some above average drama going on right now on June 17. "momofboys" has started multiple threads about wanting a girl and it has escalated quickly. not the best drama but certainly worth a read if you have time to kill
Ps. You're like my cheerleader today on FFFC and the name topic.
@ShadeofGreen816 - Hahaha...yeah, I felt a little creepy replying to 2 of your posts within minutes, but I'm okay with it. I'm actually reading the momofboys thread now! It's getting pretty good. I may need to go get some cake from the break room to enjoy while I read through the rest. I'm an awesome employee.

@kayemjay2 omg the hdbd thread is funny. I get documenting the progress and bloat and all but when they touch their bellies like they're touching baby... and I can't help but think, well baby is still way way down there. I saw my sister when I was 13 weeks and she touched my belly like I was 30 weeks. I joked about where baby really was and that she was just touching my fat and pushed up organs. She was so thrown off by my comment.
@louise_belcher last pregnancy I looked up doulas and called around.. insurance does not cover them and the ones in my area charged around $1500 for their services during delivery. I used a midwife for my last birth and I will again this time.. although I had an epidural.... in my experience they seem to be more hands on and present during the laboring process opposed to a doctor .
@pshaortao that's too funny! I didn't realize how low baby still was when I went to the doctor earlier this week and she used the Doppler to check on baby. I mean I didn't think it was already up high like later in pregnancy, but didn't really just how low it is right now! I must need to brush up on my female anatomy and what happens during pregnancy hahahaha

Omg thanks for sharing about the august HDBD. I feel like I'm not really showing it over here (16w5 days) so i haven't shared my bump but I love all the "not gonna be able to hide it at Christmas" talk over there! Lol
I also lurk other boards. There are some crazies out there! Now I will have some more drama to read during our drive to Vegas tonight, June, August, and March.
I feel like I've missed so much this week! Every spare second I've had NOT working has been spent shuttling myself to doctors appointments or blood work (serious--I've had my blood drawn 5 separate times this week. It's insanity). But I wanted to say that you all are fabulous and I love our little board, too! I now feel the urge to go lurk on some other BMBs...haven't done that in a nice long while!
In my old BMB (when there were still moderators) we had a weekly thread posting links to all the drama. It was the best! And I think that lead to people being banned when all the bump gods took over. I am not sure if they actually said it was against the TOU.
@KMD1106 I'm in full support. However, I do worry a little about the "legality" of it like what @mcvgal is referring to. I guess it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission, right?
I'm pretty sure the pre-exodus banning was a little more universal than that. I could be wrong, but I'm not sure anyone ever nailed down the criteria for who was banned and who wasn't. Except the moderators. They were all fired.
What if we call it the camel (sort of like a llama, right?) or maybe alpaca thread? That way it won't seem as obvious and hopefully wouldn't cause too much commotion.

Sorry I've had a hard time catching up this week! It's been so crazy since we got to my parents, DD loves her aunts and uncles and she pretty much having a party all the time (I am the oldest of 7).
Question. I know I'm a STM, but I have been having some pain and I'm like, is this RLP? It's low like where I assume the stretching is, but it hasn't really gone away. I've been trying to stay on top of fluids and I have been doing a lot everyday with Christmas/helping around the house/plus watching kiddo. The pain has been about a week though. I would have to go to Urgent Care if I go to the doctor so I'm just hoping it's RLP that will go away.
Do you ladies with SOs give gifts from the both of you, or give gifts separately? Once we got married, my husband and I starting giving gifts from the two of us. My brother's GF just unintentionally made me feel like that's weird. That's what my parents always did. I feel like we gift a combined effort, so it's not like the person who gives us a gift each is getting the short end of the stick. I don't know, is that not normal?
@starphish18 Yes for the most part we give gifts as a couple. There is a some exceptions. My brother-in-laws each give me a lotion or candle every year so I feel like I have to give them something small separately from my husband.
Can I just say my husband has been a complete dick lately? So I'm super clumsy, always have been. I just fell down the stairs, well more so slipped. I basically skidded down the last half on my ass. Hurt my butt a little and my shoulder as I instinctively put my arm out to help myself, but I've been far worse before. He hears this and his immediate response is WTF! Doesn't ask are you ok, just says I'm so effing pissed at you right now. I get that I'm carrying his baby and all but WTF! My sock slipped on the stair, I wasn't rushing, I wasn't being careless, I'm CLUMSY. I slipped on the ice outside multiple times just these past few days, I've asked him to put salt out... He hasn't yet. So don't be pissed at me when I slip and fall outside because I've asked you to put salt down. Ugh he really pisses me off. Sorry, end rant.
I have switched insurances mid-pregnancy. My OB didn't deliver at the hospital for my group so I had to get a new dr too. And this time around I'm on my second insurance change (insert eye rolling gif). It's a pain, and you have to double check that the billing office is using the right cards and really be on top of things. But other than being a PITA it's mostly business as usual.
I also use regular cooking coconut oil for moisturizer. It's what I had. And it works! I had weird itchy legs for a long time, switched to coconut oil, and now I'm good!
starphish18, our gifts are always joint. That's such a normal thing to do that it's weird that she thinks it's weird. Joint finances = joint gifts.
@Jen_Shoes, that sucks that your husband's being insensitive. I would be really mad about that comment. Like what does he think you are, just a baby incubator? I hope that you're feeling okay and aren't too sore after your fall.
My random is that I'm spending the weekend in Philadelphia but so far the weather isn't cooperating enough for us to leave. I'm hoping the roads don't stay this icy all day, but I'm being surprisingly much more flexible than my usual self!
ETA to add that I love the randoms thread. This is my 3rd BMB and it's so nice to have a place to post whatever you want. It completely cuts out the AW dear diary new threads that piss everyone off.

There's some drama towards the end pages of the June NIPT thread. Not the funny kind (like sex disappointment), but serious, heavy drama.
Edited to correct the location of the drama, my bad!
