I'll partner with the person who made the intro thread and PM the admin to remove the sticky from please read first. I am however really sick of seeing "birth announcement" instead of "pregnancy announcement" and ashaw hasn't logged in since she posted that thread. AW and ghost much?
Oh crap, the person who created the intro thread hasn't been active for over a month now so it can't be updated. I guess we will just unsticky please read, and just "help" anybody new that come our way? Hopefully in a not so snarky manner
yeah that birth announcement versus pregnancy announcement really bus me every time I see it. I agree with @pshaortao, we can just help along the way especially since I don't think there should be too many new people that might not have glanced at it yet.
Random, because I need to vent. I'm at work, and some random old man just walked by my desk and told me I "need to smile more, life isn't that bad!" I just love everyday sexism.

Oh thats so annoying. I had some men say that to me when I used to cashier at Target. Or comments like oh you have a nice smile, keep it up. Anyways a friend shared this youtube video on her fb the otber day after getting a similar comment. I couldn't help but laugh. Its just absurd.
FlyChick - Were your nightmares pregnancy related? I posted about my horrible miscarriage nightmare in my Friday ticker change thread. I thought I'd bring it up here too, since you mentioned nightmares. It has given me an uneasy feeling all day!

A friend at work that I've haven't seen in awhile just looked at my stomach and asked me if I "had any news" for her. This was before lunch so I didn't even have a food baby. Sigh. Also, never ask someone if they are pregnant! Whether they are or are not, if they haven't told you, they aren't ready to have their stomach sized judged. Well, never judge stomach sizes either. Ugh.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot I think it was Steve Harvey who said (I'm paraphrasing) "Don't ever ask a woman if she's pregnant. It's never okay. Even if she just told you she's pregnant, don't say anything about being pregnant. Even if she then says 'Hey, I just told you I'm pregnant," right to you, and looks in your eye and waits for a response, don't say anything about being pregnant. Change the subject!"
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot it's so annoying when people ask that way. Obviously if there is something to tell and I haven't told you yet, it's because I'm not ready to. So back off and don't make it awkward by asking. I had my neighbor do the same thing, "is there something you need to tell me?". I just stared at her and said, "nope!"
I just have to vent somewhere. Someone at work asked me yesterday if we were having a boy or a girl and I told her boy. She then asks "so are you going to be removing his foreskin". Umm how is that even an appropriate thing to ask?? I was so shocked that she would ask that that all I could say was I don't know we haven't talked about it so then she says "well does your our husband have a foreskin?" Dude back off! Unless you put the baby inside of me, it is unappropriate to ask me about it. This is not even a friend, just an acquaintance at work.
Hey what do y'all think about starting a Black Friday/Cyber Monday thread? I know last year the single BOB was 1/2 off somewhere (I don't remember where). Starting Nov 1-December 24 there is a 50% off a toy everyday on Cartwheel at Target. Amazon normally has great baby items on Cyber Monday. It's just a thought!

Wanted to keep with the theme....
I think I'm most disturbed that this person continue doing to use the word foreskin in such a casual way...
