Figured I'd share the rest of our birth story now that things have calmed down and we are finding our new normal. Margaret Michael (nn Greta) was born at 2:40am on 10/23. She was 2 lbs 13oz and 15.5in long. We had been out doing some shopping Saturday afternoon (I had family/maternity pictures scheduled the next day). On our way home I felt some contractions, not really painful and not consistent. When we got home I laid down and drank some water and they backed off and all but went away. I felt a few more throughout the evening but nothing timeable and nothing painful so I figured it was Braxton hicks. After going to bed I woke up a couple times to some more so I called L&D, they said it sounded like false labor and try taking a bath. I got off the phone and the pain started to pick up and the contractions came a little faster so I got my husband up, called my parents to come stay with Sam, and we head to L&D to see what was going on. I got there about 1:30am and after being there about 15/20 minutes my contractions picked up and were strong and close together. The doctor came in to check me (they had been doing a few tests and stuff that needed done ahead of time). When the doctor checked me I was dilated to 8cm and the doctor could see my water bulging. They brought in a US machine quick to make sure baby was head down (she was) and started working to prep everything. I got an IV in and they wheeled me to my room. As soon as we got there, the nicu nurses/doctor was there with their bed getting stuff set up. Not 20 minutes later I was fully dilated and on one contraction my water broke (more like bursted all over everything) and on the same contraction Greta was born.
The NICU staff did there thing, got her on her cpap, and wrapped up in some warming wrap. I was able to see her in her bed and my husband got some pictures. They wheeled her up to the NICU.
At some point during this I was hooked up to Pitocin to help deliver the placenta and help with bleeding given she was early. I delivered the placenta without any issues. I didn't have any tearing. About 2 hours after she was born my nurse cleared me to go up to the NICU to see her. I didn't have any pain medication (which was planned and even if not planned probably wouldn't have happened given how quick it went) so I was able to be up and walking around right away. I really didn't have any pain and definitely didn't feel like I had just birthed a baby (albeit a small one).
She is doing well. She's on cpap and getting my milk via a feeding tube. We are just waiting for her to grow and it will be another week or 2 before much else changes. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes.

I live in a town of 30,000 and our hospital couldn't safely handle my case so I was transferred first by ambulance to our local airport then by fixed wing aircraft to a much larger hospital in Denver, Co. About 12 hours later, due to insurance coverage, I was then transferred by ambulance to yet a different hospital in the Denver area that is better covered by my insurance, which is where I delivered and we both are now.
My water broke at home Saturday night, spontaneously. The plan upon transfer was to try and keep me pregnant until at least 34 weeks. But my little man had other plans! He kept having heart decelerations during my fairly mild contractions and at one point I had a gush of blood. So the doctors prepped me for an urgent csection. Luckily I'd already had an epidural in preparation for that need, so off I went to the OR! And not much later little Foxx was born, yelling and screaming! Most beautiful sound I've ever heard!
Now we wait and see! He's doing great so far. He's just on the CPAP to assist his breathing, hope he can get off that soon. Then he just needs to grow! I'm attempting to pump, so hope my milk kicks in soon. He will probably be in NICU at least 5 weeks, if not more. Unfortunately we live 2.5 hours away from this hospital, so I will end up staying at the Ronald McDonald house when available. My husband will have to go back and forth since he doesn't get enough time off. Luckily my mom is around and will stay with me when she can. Definitely not how I'd planned, but I have a son, and he's gonna be just fine, fingers crossed!
Bennett has been being monitored for his blood sugars and his numbers have all been passing and continue to improve. He passed his car seat check last night and seems to be getting more alert and interested in feeding.
ETA: We were discharged this evening and able to bring our tiny little guy home! Wishing lots of luck to all the mamas out there and can't wait to see your pictures added as the weeks progress...
ETA: the bump ate my post! In a step down nursery - doesn't actually need NICU at this time. 5lb15oz, unsure length right now.
ETA #2: 5.15lbs and 18.5"... ended up needing an NG tube because he didn't understand how to suck(eat) and breathe at the same time so he was in the NICU until the night of the 16th and then back to the special nursery until he was discharged on the 17th! Longest 4 days of my life but he's such an amazing little guy, I'd do it all over again if I had to.
4lbs 11oz @ 17 inches long
Induction due to SUG
Pitocin started at 7:40 AM
Water was broke at 1:40 pm
At a 5 at 7:05 pm by 7:38 pm I was pushing and he was out by 7:40 pm
Total of 12hrs labor start to finish and i did it without any pain meds first time ever! So proud of my self! I am absolutely so in love with him!! As of yesterday he weighs 4lbs 4.5oz as he lost some weight in the hospital..
Introducing Banks Jackson! Born December 26 at 1:56 am at 38+6 days. We are so in love! At 10:30pm Christmas night I felt a pop and a gush and knew my water had broken. We left the in-laws house and I started feeling cramps immediately on the drive home. I found out little man was breech at my most recent appointment but wanted to go into labor naturally and then have my c-section when we arrived at the hospital. I got home, took a shower, and the cramps began turning into full blown contractions. My midwife said to come to the hospital right away. I could barely walk to the car and contractions were super intense. Upon arrival I was checked and had somehow managed to dilate 8cm within two hours of my water breaking! Holy cow!!! Things started moving pretty quickly from there to get me into surgery. I started throwing up from the pain from the contractions, a sign that I was probably going into transition. I was rushed to the OR to receive my spinal and oh, sweet relief! After that I was smiling and happily awaiting the arrival of our little guy when my husband came in to join me behind the curtain. Within minutes I heard his first cry and he was soon in my arms. Little man was 7lbs, 1 oz and 19.5 inches
long. We are so in love!

BFP: 2.10.19 // and MC on 3.19.19
BFP: 7.9.19 // EDD 3.16.20
I started having false labor since my appt last Thursday with contractions anywhere from 15 mins apart to 30 mins apart until yesterday, I also had my "bloody show Thursday night and continued to have it throughout the week. At 2pm I started having really intense contractions but we're only 15 mins apart until about 5pm when they completely stopped for an hour and a half.
I was literally in tears, I mean after 6 days of false labor I was way ready for this kid to come out. So I decided to go ahead and make dinner, stuffed shells which take forever!! Around 7:40 my contractions started again and where 8 mins apart and then jumped immediately to 4 mins apart. I called labor and delivery who informed me that I needed to wait 2 hours (while having 4 min apart contractions before coming in).
Meanwhile my contractions were building and the pain was hard to push past. I started feeling dizzy about one hour in and felt faint. That's when my husband told me we were leaving for the hospital he didn't care that they wanted me to wait.
When we got to the hospital it was 9:20pm and I was at a 6 and asked for an epidural. Not even 20 mins later I was experiencing a ton of pressure, when checked again I was at an 8. They immediately brought me to a room and brought the drs in. My son's heart rate started to plummet drastically and the dr informed me I didn't have time for an epidural I was at a 10 and needed to push now for his safety.
At 10:20 i started to push and he was out 8 mins latet. His shoulder was caught on the side of my pelvis and the cord was wrapped around his neck. He had trouble breathing at first because how fast he came out and needed oxygen right away. They whisked him away to the special care until before I could even hold him or get a good look at him. DH wasn't even able to cut the cord bc of how fast they needed to get him hooked up to oxygen.
Three hours later my little guy was doing awesome and able to come back to my room. We did skin to skin for an hour before he finally decided to nurse. He latched like a champ!!!
Currently he will not let me put him down (which I definitely don't mind)
I have experienced some rather large blood clots so they are keeping an eye on me.
This was definitely not the labor I had anticipated after 3 other deliveries the thought of having to go natural was terrifying. But I did it and I found out I am stronger than I could have ever thought possible!
Posting from mobile so I will add pictures when. We are home.
Edited to add pic!
Membranes ruptured Wednesday 12/28 8:20PM, we went to the hospital to get checked out and active labor had not begun so we returned home to get a good nights sleep and due to incoming 12 inch snow storm we agreed to return the next morning before the snow started. Returned to hospital 7:30 AM 12/29 and started pitocin around 8:30. I had to be continuously monitored after starting pitocin and they began seeing FHR decelerations after contractions sometime early afternoon and doc suggested amniofusion which is a catheter inserted in the uterus to replace some of the amniotic fluid, which helped with the decelerations briefly, as they may have been due to cord compression. Anyways, the catheter fell out within a few hours after peeing, which was OK with me because I was not able to move around barely at all, being hooked up to the monitor and the pitocin. It was a long day and night not being free to move and change positions in labor because every time I did, they would lose the baby's heartbeat on the monitor! You'd think they'd have better technology in this day and age, but no. Anyway, sometime maybe around 4pm the contractions were getting stronger and more painful and the fetal decelerations had returned so they suggested trying another amniofusion. This time it was PAINFUL, so excruciating I was screaming and I have no idea why because the first time they did it it was mildly uncomfortable at most. So I suspect this second amniofusion is what introduced my infected to the uterus, which symptoms began developing around 10 pm. Also, that catheter fell out a few hours later too. Contractions kept getting stronger and more painful and more frequent and it was hell not being able to move around. I began getting weaker at 10pm and exhausted. By 12:00 midnight I agreed to a little Demerol in my IV to help me rest between contractions. I wasn't making much progress, barely 4 cm, and fever was developing with chills and shakes and body aches. The Demerol did help me rest in between ctx for a couple hours, though I still had to wake up and breathe through contractions. By 3 AM my fever had spiked to 100.8 (which is very high for me, I tend to run low around 97.1) and I was nothing short of delirious, cold sweats, violent shakes, body pain, couldn't really speak just moan. Baby's HR was still decelerating after each contraction. The doc tried to get me to do another amniofusion and I couldn't agree to it, it had been so painful the last time and I was so sick. I agreed to do the c-section at 4, we got to OR at 4:45 and baby boy was born 5:29.
After I got antibiotics in my IV I felt better. Baby Holden was 5lbs 13oz 19 inches long 9/9 apgar scores. Seemed to be doing well after the C-section, it was hell not being able to hold him for 2 hours and when I finally got to see him he did nurse briefly but then a nurse came in, concerned about his white blood cell count and took him away again. There was some concern about him having a possible infection too and his breathing so he was transferred to the NICU at Dartmouth hospital, about an hour and a half away and thank god they were able to get me transferred to the birth pavilion at the same hospital. We got here yesterday and baby has been on iv antibiotics, he was taken off breathing assistance pretty quickly and he has been nursing well. It looks like he will be discharged and with me later today
So birth didn't go as planned and I have so many questions about our treatment and what could have gone differently, but the important thing is we are both going to be OK and we made it!
Right after my OB appointment i had my MFM appointment for my NST. I noticed that he dropped his heart rate a few times while we were there, but he had did hat a few times in previous NST'S, so I didn't think anything of it. After my 20 minutes were up the nurse showed my MFM doctor the tracing and he didn't like it, he said it seems like the baby isn't tolerating being in there any longer, so he told us that he wasn't going to be a 2017 baby, and to head over to L&D for my c-section now!
I was told on my growth scan on Tuesday that he weighed 4lb 10oz and had dropped off the growth curve again, well he came out weighing 5lb 12oz so everyone was in shock!
I'm so in love with him and can't wait until DS1 comes up and meets him today!
His weight is 8lb 6oz. and 21.675 inches. Water broke at 12:30am night before. He is a real sweet heart ane we absolutely adore him!

Daniel Clay, born at 6:18 am, weighing 7 pounds and 1 ounce, at 38.3 weeks. I went to bed around 12, but kept waking up with strong contractions, so around 3 I got out of bed to pee and I knew the moment I got out of bed that I was in labor. I took a shower, ate and packed toiletries, I was having so many contractions that by the time we got to the Dr's I was 7 cm already! I didn't even have a chance to get any pain meds in an IV! Wish I would have though, because once he got here I was shaking so bad I couldn't even hold him. But once I was able to get up and get food into me I was fine.
