NOVEMBER FET BUDDIES

Re: NOVEMBER FET BUDDIES

  • FET complete! Now to relax and watch this train wreck of an election come to a close. My BFFs asked if we could refer to the embryos as Hillary & Donald... hell NO! hahaha

  • @Monica54321 congrats on being PUPO!!! Me too!!! I'm not watching the election.  I think it's too stressful
for my embryo.  I did vote this morning though!
@kjplaza. Good luck with your transfer tomorrow!!!!
  • Well ladies, looks like I'll most likely be moving to another board. FET#3 is officially canceled. My RE didn't like the way my lining looked and is just as frustrated as i am that it's so darn thin no matter what we throw at it. I think we will be moving forward with an ERA biopsy to see if that gives us any answers and then I'm not sure what the next step is. Maybe try another transfer, maybe a second opinion, or *gulp* maybe start thinking of surrogacy.

DH is out of town so I think I'll pour myself a nice glass of wine, watch some crappy reality tv, and have a good cry.
  • @mtpbadger I am so sorry to hear your cycle is canceled!  It is extremely frustrating to get this far and then to be canceled. What were you all on this cycle to try and thicken it up?  Enjoy your wine tonight (I have enjoyed a few glasses since mine was canceled last week).
  • This cycle I was on estrace vaginally twice a day for almost three weeks and it only got to about a 4.7. Last cycle was on estrace vaginally 3xday and estrogen patches and it still only got up to about a 4.5. My RE is having me redo blood work for my prolactin and testosterone levels as it's been awhile. I have had high prolactin and have been on bromocriptine but she wants to make sure that doesn't need to be adjusted.
  • @Kris10cdn , yes we did our FET yesterday. How did yours go today? Now that awful period of time begins. We do our bloodwork on 11/18. Nothing but nerves already!!

  • @mtpbadger I'm so sorry you got cancelled. It happened to me, it sucks. Definitely drink wine!!!

@byrneme My beta draw is on the 19th! Will you be testing at home before? My dh says no, he wants to wait bc the 19th his birthday. I'm not sure I can wait that long!!

I'm so sorry @mtpbadger. I hope you and your doc can figure out very soon what's preventing your lining from thickening.

    Congrats @Monica54321 , @Kris10cdn , and @byrneme on being PUPO!!!

@JuliaAnn86 Glad to hear your lining check went well!

AFM, being the POAS addict I am, I POAS 8 times since yesterday morning and I'm still in shock - all BFPs! My partner didn't believe the lines so I did a digital FRER on my lunch break today and got a "YES+"! I texted him the pic and then called him crying. I was a hot mess for about 30 min hiding in my office at work crying. I'm just so used to negative results that I think I'm a bit in shock. Now FX'd for hopefully 2 sticky embies and great BETA in 6 days!

Still having AF type cramps that can be intense at times. I'm super nervous and anxious given that it's so early but I'm staying positive
  • @MicronesianMamma CONGRATS!!!!
    thats so exciting!!!!
  • @MicronesianMamma congratulations!  So happy for you!!
  • @MicronesianMamma yea, yea, yea!! That is so damn exciting!!!! Fingers crossed for all to continue down this positive track.

@Kris10cdn I'm not going to POAS this go around. I made a promise to a friend who did IVf and myself that I'd rather not have any 'what if' moments and just wait for the bloodtest. However, I say that today only three days in so who knows? :)

  • @Lavendar83 Awesome!!!! So excited for u

Hi all im excited about all the BFPs and looking forward to more congrats to the Pupo ladies

afm i had my last lining check and all is awesome i start pregesterone today transfer is next week cant wait in soo excited but yet nervous
  • Congrats @MicronesianMamma and @Lavendar83 on the BFPs! keep them coming!

AFM I went in for a lining check yesterday and they wanted 7 and I was only 6.9 so they have me doing 2 estrace vaginally (which is gross!) and 1 orally.  I go back in tomorrow.  unfortunately later that day my DH'S mom suddenly passed away so now I'm torn if I should continue this cycle or cancel.  what would you ladies do? my transfer is not until next Thursday .
  • @ChristinaV2015- I am so sorry about your husband's mother.  Such a tough situation, but I would continue the cycle if at all possible.

AFM - I got a BFN the morning at 7dp.  Pretty sure I am out.  :-(
  • @mrsbigcountry well, it isn't over yet. Im worried mine was an evap line so I haven't tested again. I may wait until tomorrow I really hate second guessing myself. Fingers crossed for you <3

@christinav2015 Hi, the decision to cancel or keep going is tough. I started a FET in the spring but my dad past away unexpectedly of a heart attack. I was also a week away from graduating college.  I personally knew I was to stressed to keep going. If I were you I would talk to my husband and see how he feels about it, maybe give a couple days to grieve. I would go to the appointment.  I would think about how you feel about it and what your heart is telling you. I hope that helps and sorry you and your husband are going through this right now.
  • AFM
last night I had a second line on a FRER the test was faint, but DH confirmed it was there. I took a FRER digital today and it said no. I am sad and confused.
  • @Lavendar83  - I'm so sorry. But hold out hope, when is your Beta?

  • @kjplaza I'm so glad your transfer went well and embryo looked great! My Beta is also 11/14!

@Hoping4Success So happy your lining check went well and excited for your transfer next week!

@ChristinaV2015 I'm so very sorry to hear about your DH's mom. I personally know how devastating the death of a parent can be. I agree with @Lavendar83 about discussing it with your husband. He is such an important part of the process and I'm sure he wants to be in it 100% with you. He may need time to grieve, or perhaps focusing on the transfer is exactly what he needs. I would still go to your appointment tomorrow if possible.

Mrs.BigCountry 7dpt is still early so I'm still holding out hope for you!

@Lavendar83 Don't be sad, your results make sense. The FRER is 16% more accurate at this time than the FRER digital.

AFM, my butt is in so much pain from the POI injections that I called my RE's office yesterday to see if I could move from 2 injections/day to 1 in the am and suppository in the pm. Nurse checked my chart and it turns out my levels were a little lower than what they wanted them to be at the time of my transfer so now I have to keep doing 2 per day plus a suppository at night. I think I'm going to request they recheck my levels the same time they do my Beta.

  • @MicronesianMamma thank u i know i start my pio shots today. Did you start out with once a da for pio or?

@ChristinaV2015 so sorry to hear about your mother in law. Hard decision. :(

@mtpbadger Sorry about your cancelation. It's so hard! :(

@Hoping4Success  Congrats on your lining! Did the dr tell you when to stop the coq10, vit E etc, do you continue after transfer, after bfp???

@Lavendar83 It could totally be the different test or diluted pee. Don't stress!!

Mrs.BigCountry FX for you! I've read people getting negs until 8 or 9 days pt.

    @kjplaza Congrats on being pupo!!

AFM, I'm 2dp6dt......... Is it too early to test??  ;)
I've felt some twinges in my uterus area but not much. And usually the progesterone suppositories make my breasts tender before this point and they aren't tender at all. I haven't missed any, it's weird.

  • @Kris10cdn it is on my calander until beta im sure if i get a BFP they will most likely have me stop
  • @Hoping4Success  Thanks!! My dr didn't tell me to take vitamin E but i feel like its a good thing and was wondering if I can take while pupo.
  •  @Kris10cdn right before i got my fet calendar i was put on baby aspirin, folgard, prenatal with dha,coq10, l-argenine l and vitimin e

@Hoping4Success I started out at twice a day and have remained at twice a day since 10/28. I don't mind the injections, I do them myself, but the lumps are brutal. It's to the point where I'm in pain no matter what position I'm in (sitting, standing, lying down...)
  • @MicronesianMamma hmm im only doing it once but im also on progesterone suppositories im so scared of the side effects what kinda lumps omg haha
  • edited November 2016
@Hoping4Success I get the typical progesterone side effects such as exhaustion, sore boobs, and hot flashes but those aren't too bad. The lumps are hard knots that form in the area of your injection sites. I have 1 large lump on each side. The skin also feels tight and sometimes a little tingly - hard to explain. For some people, massaging the injection site after seems to help but I do it all and to no avail. I heat up the oil in the syringe by placing it on a heating pad for a couple min prior while icing my butt to numb it. I inject slowly. After, I massage it and then lie on heating pad for a few minutes (or longer pre transfer). Not everyone gets lumps though, so hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones! Don't be scared, it's all tolerable and all sooooo worth it!!
  • @MicronesianMamma i know it all so worth it i have broken out soo much on my face but i dont care like u said it will be all worth it :)
  • first PIO shot done last night feeling it this morning it will be all worth it
  • @MicronesianMamma I am with you on the PIO side effects, i get large and almost itchy bumps at my injection sites, after my last FET i had and still have some numbness/hyper sensetivity in the injection site areas and going down my outer thighs. It did start to go away so i know theres hope for the future that it will be relatively back to normal.  Definitely worth it though. Currently im just on 1 PIO every evening, last time around once i got my BFP i was started on oral progesterone 4x/day and a suppository 2x/day.

  • Okay, ladies! Starting to go out of my mind on this TWW (it's strange how quickly I forgot what torture it is since my last IUI seems so long ago!). So something light for this Friday - has anyone found the magic trick to, easily, get rid of that 'ring around the patches' that is so lovely?!
