NOVEMBER FET BUDDIES

Re: NOVEMBER FET BUDDIES

  • @hopefullily I'm so glad AF is coming on! My transfer date is scheduled for 11/14 if my lining is cooperative this round. I'll go for my lining check 11/08.

@lavendar83 That is amazing that your husband came home early from his deployment! Tell him Thank you for his service, and thank you for yours as a military spouse! I currently live in Virginia (just outside of DC) but went to UW-Madison for both my undergrad and graduate degree so I am a Badger through and through! I have turned my hubby into a Badger fan and he just loves Madison. The patches kicked my butt last cycle and I went up to 4, I had zero energy. Thankfully once I started the PIO shots, the symptoms lessened.

  • @mtpbadger Mine is the 14th too! I think my lining check appt is the 9th. I hope our linings are perfect! :)
  • Hi guys so i had my first dose of lupron this morning 20 units and im overlapping with bcp i have my hsg/shg tommorow hopefully were clear and no hystroscopy is needed how is everyone else ?

    Hi Everyone,

I've been MIA... Looks like everyone is doing well.

I didn't get my period after stopping BCPs; I kinda didn't expect to bc I was only on BCP for 8 Days and I was bleeding the whole time. Finally, I went to the Dr. and they started me on estrogen anyway.
Then, they decided because I bled so much during BCP to do a hysteroscopy, where they put a camera into the uterus. Once in there they saw a polyps and lots of inflammation!
Background: I have had two biopsies of my uterus, One on the day of my canceled transfer (sept 1st), it's called a mock cycle biopsy. It was receptive, which is good.
The other biopsy in July to check for inflammation, it came back negative. But now I have tons of inflammation and a polyps.
I also had my 3rd shg 6.5 months ago and it was good. No polyps and no fibroids.
So yesterday, I had them take out the polyps while I was awake. Bc I want to get the ball rolling and didn't want to wait to do anesthesia. My transfer is pushed from Nov 3 to Nov11.

I'm on antibiotics - 2 kinds, one for 7 days, one for 21 days and
    can't transfer until complete.

It's always something. But amazing that they figured out the original thyroid issue before that transferred and now that they found these issues. Both times I think it could be saving me from a BFN.
  • Mock transfer went well today! No need for a stitch.

I did have a less than graceful moment at the pharmacy today when I went to pick up a refill on my daily blood thinner shots that I have to take anytime I'm on hormones (like estrace). The poor pharmacy tech said that insurance would only approve 30 shots per 180 day period and I'd already used those up during my stims and fresh transfer.  I'm supposed to take them daily through the whole IVF & FET process, along with all of pregnancy, and 6 weeks post-partum, so clearly 30 days isn't going to cut it. I then unloaded on the entire team of pharmacists at the top of my lungs that "I HOPE INSURANCE ENJOYS PAYING ANOTHER $30K FOR ANOTHER ICU STAY WHEN I GET ANOTHER PULMONARY EMBOLISM, BUT IT WOULD PROBABLY BE CHEAPER FOR THEM IF IT JUST KILLS ME!"

DH kindly ushered me out of the store while I was sobbing and trying to keep any dignity I had remaining.

  • @Kris10cdn sorry your cycle got delayed, it's good to get stuff like that figured out and taken care of but it's always a bummer when it delays things. Best of luck to you!

@Monica54321 that sounds like such a stressful moment in the pharmacy! I have had my share of those. We have paid for everything out of pocket and it has been such a struggle. Hugs to you!
  • Hello!!  I hope it's okay to move over here from the October board.  I went today for my ultrasound.  My lining was only 6.8, so I have been delayed a week.  My new tentative transfer date is 11/3.

I am on 4 Vivelle patches.  Now we are adding one estradiol tablet, baby aspirin, 800mg Folic Acid, and 1000u Vitamin E.
  • Welcome @mrs.bigcountry!  There are a couple of us transferring on 11/3, it's going to be a good day!  I had my monitoring appointment on Thurs and my lining was just under 7 and they were happy with that.  So it looks like we are on the same page!
  • Hi all so i had my hsg/shg yesturday and all looks good i asked her about the hystroscopy and she said it all looks good but if i want to get i done i can to have a free of mind so i will call my insurance and see if they cover it if they do i might as well get it done she sayz if im not successful the first time then we will have to do it the second time so i figured might ad well get it over with and make sure nothing is missed before transfer. I started lupron and im also on bcp overlapping i go in monday for baseline and blood work im getting super excited ill start estrogen patches thursday
  • Go 11/3! That would be neat if a few of us girls have our transfers on that day!

@Hoping4Success I think that  is a good decision to get the hystroscopy out of the way. That way you give yourself the best possible chance of success. It sounds like things are moving right along for you
  • @Lavendar83 yea i just hope my insurance covers it if not im out of money lol
  • @Kris10cdn sorry ur transfer got pushed back. Ur a trooper without anesthesia!

@Monica54321 Great news about ur mock transfer and not needing a stitch after all!

@Mrs.BigCountry Welcome! Sorry ur transfer got delayed. 11/3 seems to b a popular date

@Hoping4Success Glad to hear hsg/shg went well! Hopefully ur insurance covers hysteroscopy so u can add to ur peace of mind

AFM, I had my lining check this morning, which was supposed to b my last appointment b4 transfer. My lining looks good @ 9 but RE was concerned that he couldn't clearly see 3 layers from every angle and that I've been experiencing light breakthrough bleeding/spotting for the past few days while on estrace. Now I have another u/s scheduled for Wednesday and he wants to make sure bleeding has stopped. I've been on this exact dosage of estrace before and never experienced this. Now I'm super stressing! Anyone else experience breakthrough bleeding/spotting from Estrace?

@Hoping4Success We had to pay for my hysteroscopy ourselves. My clinic requires it before starting a fresh or frozen cycle. So, I feel your pain if you do have to pay for it, it certainly adds up.

AFM- I want to take a bath really bad! My paper work says no baths because of the estrogen patches. Have any of you ladies taken baths with estrogen patches on? I will be up to 4 patches at time, tomorrow morning... hope I don't feel to bad from them. I'm on 3 right now and that seams like plenty to me.
  • @Lavendar83 ive had a history of fibroids so im hoping my insurance will cover it we will see if not its ok im still good i was released by re hehe i just want a piece of mind and best chances. As for patches my nurse said i was able to shower just not soke them so no pool etc, probabaly baths cause you would soke in them i will start mine thursday i think i have to look at my calendar
  • @lavendar83 my nurse said I was okay to swim with the patches so I would think a bath would be fine. I didn't notice much difference between 3 and 4 symptom wise.
  • @MicronesianMamma Thanks. 9 is great!!  RU on 2 or 3 estrace a day? Did they check your progesterone to make sure you didn't ovulate? It's so stressful having no control over your body and not knowing exactly what everything means. Did they start you on progesterone?

  • @Kris10cdn I'm taking 2mg 2x/day. My RE didn't check my progesterone levels but he could tell from the u/s that I had not ovulated, plus it was only a week after I finished BCP. I think he will start me on POI after my f/u u/s appt. on the 26th. Unless, FX'd not the case, transfer is delayed. Everything about this process is sooo very stressful!
  • Is estrogen kicking anyone else's fanny??  I am SO sore and swollen in my nether region.  And my nipples are hard as rocks and hurt!!

    Is it just me?!
  • @mrs.bigcountry, you are not the only one! I am also feeling sore and swollen down there and am just exhausted. I've only been on it for a week and still have another 2 weeks to go before my lining check - ugh! Last cycle I was on 3xday vaginally and this round just twice, so that is helping somewhat, but wasn't on it for this long last time!
  • @mtpbadger  - Glad I am not alone.  I was on four patches every three days.  When I went for my lining check last Friday, they added the vaginal tablet 1xdaily.  But goodness.  Hopefully my lining looks good this Friday and I can put this all behind me.
  • @Mrs.BigCountry and @mtpbadger I am up to 4 patches every other day and am still Lupron for two more days. I just now decided to lay down becaus I don't have to work until this afternoon. I feel awful! I am naucious and have a headache I also feel a little dizzy.  I feel like I could sleep for days. It hasn't hit me this hard before.

@Mrs.BigCountry  I agree, I hope your lining looks good so you can move forward.
  • YES! Estrogen SUCKS.  Not so much physical symptoms, but mental/emotional ones for me.  I feel like I'm completely off my rocker.

  • Hi ladies! I just had my egg retrieval last Saturday and have 9 embryos that fertilized of the 13 retrieved. I'm waiting to hear how many make it to 5 days and waiting for AF. My transfer right now is scheduled for 11/14.  I'm appreciating the meds break, but ready to get prepped the transfer.

  • Hi everyone! I've been lurking to find out what my next step is and it looks like I am officially joining this board. I will hopefully have my FET date in a day or two!
  • @Stars2016 - welcome to the group!

AFM i have been keeping up with the board but not much going on over here. Currently just taking estrace 3x/day, had my baseline US last friday and go back again this friday. I have tons of meds they ordered but no start dates for them. Despite having a shorter protocol this time around i feel like time is moving slowly. Last time around all our family and close friends knew we were doing a transfer, this time we have kept it quite and its so hard not talking to anyone about it.

  • @Stars2016 Welcome!

@kjplaza It sucks not being able to talk to those closest to u about what ur experiencing. So grateful to at least have this safe space and support from the amazing women in here!

@Kris10cdn Thanks for the good luck vibes, totally helped!

Had my f/u u/s today and all is well in uterus land!! The 3 layers of my lining were very clear and thick, and no spotting since last Sunday.  He did push transfer back 1 day to 11/2 but I can definitely deal with that! Start POI on Friday and have to inject 2x/day, every am and pm. Was hoping for 1 injection in am and suppositories in pm so each side could get a day off in between...oh well, guess it's time to request that stand up desk at work!
  • @MicronesianMamma  glad to hear all went well with your appointment and that you're lining is looking great.

AFM ,  I am one week away from my FET and had an ultrasound and blood work this morning. Unfortunately it did not seem to be the best appointment. First my doctor was surprised at how high my estrogen level was from last week (1634) even though the nurse who called me back with my levels last week said all was fine. Then today my lining was only at 7.5 mm.  She definitely wanted to see yet above eight at this point.

So now she is going to wait to get my blood work back to see what my estrogen levels are. She said we have two options at this point, we may add in some estrogen patches, I am taking it currently as an injection, or my cycle will be canceled due to the thin lining.  I truthfully I am just feeling pretty numb right now because they're always seems to be something that throws a curve ball in our plans. I'm trying not to let myself get upset until I hear back from her later this morning with definite plans. Until then, I wait...
