@jlellis603 I'm so sorry about everything you're going through. You've gotten lots of great advice, but I just wanted to mention that if I'm ever super pressed for time and really need to relax, I breathe along to this gif for a few minutes and am always shocked at how quickly it calms me down. Might be worth having on hand.

@jlellis603 I'm so sorry about your cousin. It's hard enough to lose someone when they are young but it's crazy hard when it's in such an awful way. My thoughts and prayers to your family. I always recommend counseling in these types of very serious situations. I hippie you will at least consider it.
@MrsDramaK what is PS whipped creme? Is that a different drink or they just use that speed creme instead of the original?
All of you Florida and coastal ladies are in my thoughts! I live in MD near the mountains, but my mom and grandma are from Daytona and my grandma still lives there. My mom was telling me that when she talked to my grandma, she said almost all the supplies were gone when she went shopping! Hopefully everyone stays safe!
@jlellis603 That sounds so hard. I'm really sorry to hear about your cousin. That's a lot of added stress and pain. For my stress this pregnancy, my midwife (who lives on an herb farm, lol, very crunchy) suggested tinctures of lemon balm, hawthorn, and linden. I was SUPER skeptical, but after about a week I feel a lot less stressed out by my life. It's been good. I'm sort of shocked. Maybe something to consider? Let me know if you want more details.
instant coffee is revolting. My neighbor told me he used Foldgers instant coffee in little bags like tea bags for his morning coffee and I was inadvertently really rude to him about it. This is Seattle. I thought he had to be joking. He wasn't.
My friend and I were supposed to do lunch. We were about to leave to meat a half hour ago and she said she had to write something real quick. I am still sitting here waiting, about to cry because I am so hungry. I don't want to blow her off because she is the sweetest ever, but I am beyond hangry. Super random. Just needed to cry.

@srscott3 I'm scared of my feet growing so I bought compression socks off amazon bc I read it can help prevent your legs and feet from swelling. I have mild compression and I love them. No clue if it'll actually since I'm a FTM but figured it can't hurt.

Work just got nuts since I left for lunch! So in interest of saving time, thank you so much to everyone who has passed along their condolences and all of the advice for stress relief! It means a lot and anything I haven't tried yet is welcome, I'm up for anything at this point!
@BumpasaurusRex While I think uggs are the worst, most shapeless and ugly shoes ever (and even worse with shorts) I might be willing to try this look in exchange for a pair of legs like that.

Those chicken legs? I bet you have way hotter legs than those.
On top of that, my family lost my cousin on Sunday (well sooner but he was found Sunday) in a horrible, horrible way. He was only 30. It has shaken everyone. My stress and anxiety levels are through the roof. AN di know it isn't good for baby - anyone have any good methods for stress relief? I do yoga but that doesn't help while I am at work and my brain won't stop....
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a close cousin earlier this year, it was very sudden and unexpected. I would seek professional help if the anxiety and stress stay high. I spoke to a therapist a several times and although I am still having a difficult time with it she was able to offer help through the worst parts.
I have to say I love my uggs, I do not care how ugly people think they are, they are soo comfy and are perfect in Colorado.
Perfect in COLORADO. I dont judge that. Here in Missouri girls wear them with naked legs and mini skirts... Which I imagine is just a recipe for sweaty feet and ankles.
I checked in at the CVS in Target on Facebook and announced that I was getting my first ever flu shot, for baby's sake...and people are actually commenting back trying to convince me not to get the shot...really? I never thought I'd get that kind of reaction. It seems strange to me.
I agree no uggs and shorts. What is people's opinion on flip flops and jeans?
I wear flip flops and jeans all the time since I love being barefoot but can't really be barefoot at work where I also have to wear long pants. Then one day the radio show host I listen to on my way to work was complaining about ppl who do that. His view was it looks ridiculous to wear them with long pants.

@blush64 thank you. and I am so sorry for your loss. It is not easy, especially when it is sudden and unexpected like that. It's so awful to see your aunt and uncle like that... I hope you continue to work through this as best you can

@marriedhamstermom I wear flip flops and jeans ALL THE TIME. Only reason I ever stop is because it's either snowy or icy outside.

This is a standard outfit for Colorado people, my thought if there is no snow out then you wear flip flops, if there is snow out you wear uggs.

SITB
Well I think your radio show host looks ridiculous!! I wear flips with pants all the time and I think it's totally fine.
Flip flops and jeans are a great combo. I have Uggs but I haven't worn them since college which was in a snowy place. I wore them all the time. They were super comfy and they were worn by EVERYONE.
@skiingstark when we first moved to Colorado I was so shocked to see people in flip flops in the winter. I'm always bundled up and I would see kids up in the mountains in shorts and couldn't understand it.

I just got mine today too! I don't think they can judge you for doing something you think is in the best interest for YOUR child. I personally think there is some lack of education on the flu shot (not here on this BMB but people I know IRL). If I have to hear one more person say "I got the flu shot once and it's the only year I got the stomach flu" I may lose it
I get people not wanting to get the flu shot. I'm normally one of those people. I literally only got it because I'm pregnant and due during flu season and my OB really pushed for it. But, I would never question someone else's decisions to get or not get the shot. I guess that's what seems strange to me. By all means, don't get the flu shot if you don't want to. I don't care. But why would you try to talk someone else out of it?

Totally this. I haven't had the flu for as long as I can remember... maybe when I was a kid? So, until today, I've never gotten the shot. It seemed unnecessary because I'm not usually around kids, sick people, etc. But, as it's a general recommendation for us pregnant ladies, it seemed silly to take any extra risk of getting sick and it not just being about me.
@marriedhamstermom since you asked.....I used to wear flip flops with jeans all the time. About 2 years ago I completely stopped wearing flip flops. It just hit me one day, how dirty and unsafe they are. Not to mention the lack of support for your feet. Thank god for flats because those are all I wear now! Especially well built, comfy, supportive flats.
I just got my flu shot today (first one ever...for no particular reason other than I have an immune system of steel, so it's never been a priority for me), and my arm already hurts like a b*tch. I got it on the right side, since I sleep on my left side and didn't want to be uncomfortable, but I seriously think it's going to be hard for me to use my mouse at work tomorrow.

i also love uggs. Not with shorts of course, but it's cold here all winter long so they are a staple.
