@lrynwnab- I totally feel your disappointment. I am sure I will feel the same way tomorrow. However you are still in this and I hope those little embabies are fighters and make it to day 5! I am also surprised that your clinic won't do a day 3... I mean I know that day 5 is obviously better... but I think its worth it to try with 1 or 2 on day 3 if that is all you have. Thinking of you!!

@JamieH2000 each of us is different. All four of your follicles could have an egg, and they might even find more. Good luck, it will be over before you know it. The question about the Day 3 v. Day 5 transfer was discussed while I was still coming out from anesthesia, so I will have to ask again when they call me tomorrow.
@shauna43 I'm doing a FET most likely in December if they can schedule my polyp removal first. But let us know how tomorrow goes! My first retrieval at a different clinic I only got 10 and none made it past day 3 - and all were poor quality. A change in clinic and protocol made all the difference

@mous sometimes changing clinics make a world of difference . i also changed clinics and ended up with 4 frozen embryos ( 3 normal pgs girls). we will see what i else i can freeze tomorrow ( no pgs this time tho) aalo this time i did a antagonist protocol which has given me the best results yet. im older than alot of othets here but no low amh or fsh luckily ( im 37).

Well ladies today I had both my IVF medication nurse consult and hysto/mock transfer. It was all very overwhelming and I found myself on the verge of tears multiple times today.
Hysto confirmed a "broad based polyp" so I will likely have to be placed under sedation to have it removed. I'm hoping that I can get it done after the egg retrieval and while I'm waiting on genetic testing results.
After mapping out my schedule it looks like I will probably be able to do my egg retrieval this month or early December but won't get to the frozen transfer until January. My cycle will hit so close to the Christmas-New Year's interval when my clinic is closed for procedures sooooo it's just another month of waiting.
So frustrating...

It's 5dp5dt for me, and I decided to test with a FRER this morning... got a faint but definite BFP. I'm not letting myself get too excited though until I see it get darker tomorrow. My trigger was 12 days ago, and they had me do a 2500 iu booster 7 days ago (last Wednesday). I know its really early so I think its possible its the hcg from the trigger/booster. Hopefully tomorrow I get a darker line!

@taradise99 wow that is a very early positive!! Yay!! praying its a strong pregnancy showing early!! what was your trigger amount? (5,000 or 10,000?) they then added a booster shot of 2,500iu of HCG 7 days ago?
I know that the HCG triggers have a half life of 1 day. So basically, every day it will be half the amount of the day before. So, if you take 2,500 and divide it by 2 seven times you will know how much HCG could still be in your system. I was 10,000iu of HCG, so it could take 13-14 days to get it back down to below 5 for me. BUTTT everyone's body is different and some people metabolize it faster and it goes out quicker. When I tested on 11 days post trigger, I wasn't sure if it was trigger or pregnancy, but i continued to test and then on day 13 it was confirmed to be a pregnancy.

@colleen0516 Thank you! I will see tomorrow what it looks like. I was trying not to test until at least Friday but yesterday I felt so awful. I had OHSS symptoms-severly bloated, out of breath. I went in for an ultrasound and my ovaries were huge. I thought that this could be an early sign so thats why I broke down and tested. Lol I was so miserable yesterday wondering when I was going to feel better, and today I feel slightly better and am freaking out that it means my hcg is not rising! Can't win with this, you don't wanna feel like crap but then when you feel good you wish you felt like crap!

@JamieH2000 I'm sorry, I know how devastating hearing those numbers can be. I think I cried after every single one of my retrievals. Does your RE know what may be causing these low numbers? With your age and hormone levels that is very surprising. Have you thought about getting a second opionion?

@jamieh2000 I am so sorry, I know how upset you must be. You only need one embryo though, and you have two eggs- keep the faith. If these eggs dont end up working, you may need to discuss different protocols with your doctor (or maybe consider a doctor change!). My doctor told me that the medicines we take have a huge impact on quantity and quality- so changing it up may help. For now, believe in those two eggs!! You WILL be a MOMMY! You WILL have a baby!! Dont lose hope!

@SwtAnana I'm sorry the process was so overwhelming. IVF really takes everything we have inside us. Only really strong women can do this. That's what we are.
Afm, I had 1 mature egg and it did fertilize. They told me they don't check it again until day 5. So until then, I take P-I-O and early Sunday morning wait for their call. They'll let me know if it's ok to transfer, or not, and if so I'll go in for the transfer that morning. Quite the dramatic buildup.
I actually went into the clinic at lunch because I had a slight fever and they wanted to test my blood/urine to make sure I didn't have an infection. Gotta love this stuff ...
@JamieH2000 I know how upsetting this is. Your two may be all that you need. You will be a mommy. Hang onto that.
@Hopeful_mom thanks! The left side has 4 that are slightly larger than the 3 on the right but they are all close. My AFC was 5. I'm trying an estrogen priming protocol. I go tomorrow for another u/s, so I'll know for sure if they are still growing together.

@JamieH2000 im sorry your ER didnt go as you hoped. I know you were hoping for a better response and it sux and not fair. i wonder if thet do the protocol i was on if youd have a better response. also sometimes changing RE will help. im truly sorry. im hoping you get your eggs fertilize and grow strong . i dont think its not meant to be. if all your bloodwork is normal etc i think you should change RE and protocols. BUT hopefully you wont have to because your embirs are going to grow and your gonna be pregnant soon. sending you tons of (((((hugs))))). thinking of you.

@JamieH2000 gosh dang it I'm so sorry! Here I thought we would be so successful, doing the same protocol and ER planned on same day. It's just so freaking upsetting. You are meant to have a baby. There are other protocols - there are other options. I know I didn't want to hear it at first. After a few days of devastation, it will get better. Each day it gets better. Each day you start feeling more open to possibilities. Let me know if you need anything. We are in the same boat together girlie!

@JamieH2000 she is on pleased with my beta junp, so she doesn't need to do another blood draw. She scheduled a pregnancy sonogram on Wednesday According to the charts I'm looking at, I am measuring high. I'm technically 4 weeks today (cycle day 29). I feel good! But I don't think i will fully breathe until I see a baby and hear a heartbeat!

@mandasand- sorry I missed your post before! Thanks for the kind words. I know it just takes time to feel better. I need to see how this goes and then come up with a new plan. We are running out of options... but I won't give up even if in the end we have to move to donor eggs. I will be a mom.. I just am not ready yet to believe that it may not be biologically mine. Maybe one of these two eggs will be my miracle... then I'll really believe in miracles

@lrynwnab- I totally feel your disappointment. I am sure I will feel the same way tomorrow. However you are still in this and I hope those little embabies are fighters and make it to day 5! I am also surprised that your clinic won't do a day 3... I mean I know that day 5 is obviously better... but I think its worth it to try with 1 or 2 on day 3 if that is all you have. Thinking of you!!

Hysto confirmed a "broad based polyp" so I will likely have to be placed under sedation to have it removed. I'm hoping that I can get it done after the egg retrieval and while I'm waiting on genetic testing results.
After mapping out my schedule it looks like I will probably be able to do my egg retrieval this month or early December but won't get to the frozen transfer until January. My cycle will hit so close to the Christmas-New Year's interval when my clinic is closed for procedures sooooo it's just another month of waiting.

I know that the HCG triggers have a half life of 1 day. So basically, every day it will be half the amount of the day before. So, if you take 2,500 and divide it by 2 seven times you will know how much HCG could still be in your system. I was 10,000iu of HCG, so it could take 13-14 days to get it back down to below 5 for me. BUTTT everyone's body is different and some people metabolize it faster and it goes out quicker. When I tested on 11 days post trigger, I wasn't sure if it was trigger or pregnancy, but i continued to test and then on day 13 it was confirmed to be a pregnancy.

@SwtAnana I'm sorry the process was so overwhelming. IVF really takes everything we have inside us. Only really strong women can do this. That's what we are.
Afm, I had 1 mature egg and it did fertilize. They told me they don't check it again until day 5. So until then, I take P-I-O and early Sunday morning wait for their call. They'll let me know if it's ok to transfer, or not, and if so I'll go in for the transfer that morning. Quite the dramatic buildup.
I actually went into the clinic at lunch because I had a slight fever and they wanted to test my blood/urine to make sure I didn't have an infection. Gotta love this stuff ...
@Hopeful_mom thanks! The left side has 4 that are slightly larger than the 3 on the right but they are all close. My AFC was 5. I'm trying an estrogen priming protocol. I go tomorrow for another u/s, so I'll know for sure if they are still growing together.

@mandasand- sorry I missed your post before! Thanks for the kind words. I know it just takes time to feel better. I need to see how this goes and then come up with a new plan. We are running out of options... but I won't give up even if in the end we have to move to donor eggs. I will be a mom.. I just am not ready yet to believe that it may not be biologically mine. Maybe one of these two eggs will be my miracle... then I'll really believe in miracles

May 24- 16 eggs retrieved, 12 mature eggs, 8 fertilized, 5 to blast. qty 2 day 6 AA blast. qty 3 7 day blast grades AA and AB.
Have 3 NORMAL PGS TESTED GIRLS. 1 "INCONCLUSIVE" embryo still good for use.
7/8- Started AF and Estraidol patches
8/2- FET scheduled ( HUBBY BDAY!!!) and my clinic automatically uses EMBRYO GLUE!
8/2- Transferred 1 6AA pgs tested girl
