Funny story, in looking through my supplies this morning I could not find one of the correct needles I need for the HCG shot, and my doctor's office had already closed. after a minor freakout i called a local pharmacy that had my prescriptions on file so I could price check, and asked them for the needle. They luckily were open and had it. Phew! My estrogen was 1035 so that equates to about 5 mature follicles. I will need some luck but am hopeful for now.

Uffda I just had the same thing sorta happen. today as my first day of doing stimulus injections and I as suppose to be using a long needle for my menopure and they isn't give me any...and where I live all pharmacies are closed on Sunday so luckily I found another long needle in my other meds....so I could go ahead and inject. I guess I am of to the pharmacy omorrow to buy long needles.

@mous mine started exactly 6 days after retrieval. Originally I was supposed to trigger with Hcg, but after my estrogen level came back, my doctor switched me to a lupron trigger. Not sure if that made a difference on how fast it came.

Unfortunately for me my miracle baby did not come and AF is here with a vengeance, OMG the cramps are just killing me!! Went in for monitoring so we shall see if I will start stemming or not. Because i have low AMH I was curious to know my AFC today and she told me i had 4 on each side. It makes me nervous as we know not each one can give you an egg. At one point i had 14 and today its 8, is it possible more can pop up? Do I take another cycle off to see. ugh!! Such a gamble and you don't know what to do. Any input is welcomed thanks!!

AFM- tonight will be day 4 of stims. Tolerating them well. Maybe too well? E2 yesterday was 214 and today I had my US and he was going to pull back on the meds if my E2 is above 400 today. 15 follies on the L and 14 on the R. Eek! I did bruise myself with menopur. Not sure how. btw that foot spa was legit and they had a happy hour where the services were half off so I paid $40 for a 60 min massage. Pinch me I'm dreaming. DH is thrilled lol. @hopefulmom I'm so sorry about AF. She's the worst under normal circumstances. I don't have any words of wisdom for you. I'm an IVF newbie and some of the ladies on here I feel like speak a different language because of all the knowledge and experience they have. I'm sure they will be able to give good advise and support
AFM, I had my transfer today. Because of my age they only transferred one blastocyst. I have 3 AA blasts. 2 are now frozen and my other 5 they are giving one more day to see how they grow and then decide if they will freeze those as well. When my RE told me 3 AAs i had to fight back tears. And then when they did the transfer and i saw the lil blast go in - TOTAL MELTDOWN. My husband thought I was in pain, but I was just so happy. After 7 years of waiting, this is the closest we've gotten to being pregnant.
I feel fine too. The nurse said I could be crampy but I don't feel any discomfort. Of course I worry if thats a bad thing and the blast fell out of me already. *sigh* this is going to be a lllooonnnngggg TWW! lol

Well Ladies, I could definitely use your prayers and positivity. I just got the call, we are triggering tonight for a 730am retrieval on Wed. At my u/s this morning I had a 20,17,15, 13, 10. They told me to prepare for only 0-3 eggs and asked if I still wanted to do the retreival. My estradial is at 1350, so hoping we can get at least 4 mature since I have heard that each mature is ~200. Assuming we get some embryos, we will likely be an automatic day 3 transfer on Saturday (which they require if we have 3 embryos or less). I'm so scared that this won't work... or may never work for us. I know it just takes one... and I won't give up... but I am feeling pretty down right now...

Hopeful_mom- That is a hard call. I started with 9 (2 on my bad side) and will be lucky to end up with 4-5. In the past, I have had AFC of 12, and in May i got 5-8 mature follies...so I really wonder why I am not getting more now either. I know the meds are so expensive, but I am not sure if there is really anything to do but try stimming and see how it goes?

IUI is done. It wasn't the TWW I was hoping for but a TWW regardless! Doctor said that the stimulation worked, I just recruited a really dominant follicle that sucked up all the meds and didn't give any other follies a chance. He said there were others in there but this one mega egg wanted all the glory. Husband's count was really good (he was so proud of himself).
We did not talk about what will happen if I get a BFN but said it won't be "one and done" shot and to call him in two weeks. Sorta hopeful.

@shauna43 I was told before my retrieval that 13 were good size and the rest might catch up after trigger. Well, I came out with 23 retrieved! 16 mature and 12 fertilized. 6 made it to blast and will be pgd tested. My point, anything is possible. And also, my doc said the smaller ones could still have mature eggs which is why they try to get everything out regardless of size.
Well ladies i'm officially part of the group as i finished day 1 of my shots....lets see how this cycle goes. I'm concerned for sure but I won't now till I try. That menupar stings my goodness. I was in such a rush to get home and get my meds together that i poked myself 3x for one shot. I need to take deep breathes before doing this. I forgot to twist the knob so that poke was a bust. Then i thought i had liquid left and poked myself again...so I already have some war wounds from day 1, yay me.
@Colleen0516 yay! that is a great first beta!! when is your second beta! praying those numbers keep on doubling!! may this be your sticky beans!! so happy for u!! Did you transfer day 3 or 5?

As for you my dear, I think your RE is preparing you for the worst but you are young with healthy eggs, just think of them as your golden eggs...I will be doing that this round along with @kp214 i thank u for reminding me of that! Low amh sucks leaving you with guessing games, but being young does help with the quality so i'm super positive for u!

I really did take the advice and went with my gut. I didn't do the full amount of meds since i didn't have as much at home as i thought BUT its only for 2 days so i'm sure its fine...i hope. @jamieh2000 thanks for the advice as well, through the stress you're feeling. Its just so wonky how each month everything varies, just wish there was more we could do to get more.

@hopeful_Mom- sending you so much positive thoughts. I understand exactly how you are feeling. I wish I had good advice on how to get through this.. but I have been a nervous wreck the whole time I think the one thing that gives me hope is that I know multiple success stories with low numbers. For one, my coworker, had twins a year ago. It was her 3rd IVF, only had 4 follies, 3 mature eggs, 2 fertilized, and transferred on day 3. Both stuck and now she has twins.
@colleen0516- I can only imagine how that spotting triggers those feelings sending you all the prayers I can. I'm sure the minutes will just be crawling until tomorrow, but we are all here for you and thinking of you!

AFM - literally nothing is happening here. Nothing. Nurse said genetics test at earliest would be Friday afternoon but more likely early next week. AF is due any day now. Which will likely mean I'll have to go on BC for 2 weeks. Nurse thinks I might get pushed out to early Dec. Nothing we can do.

afm had my ER this morning. it was pretty disappointing -- of my 6 follicles, i got three eggs. after the initial disappointment i am now just crossing fingers that ICSI gets those suckers fertilized overnight, or at least one or two of them. if that happens i won't be doing FET. I'll just be transferring on Sunday. i found out today my clinic doesn't do 3-day transfers -- just 5-day transfers. so, here's hoping i get to the ET.
i feel OK other than some cramping. i'm taking it easy.
@lrynwnab I understand that you are disappointed - not what you hoped for! But think positive if you can. I know it sucks but I wish I had 3 - and I'm sure you wish you had 6! Sometimes we just have to try and accept and continue to move forward.

AFM - my E2 yesterday was 432 (4th day of stims). They decreased my Follistim to 125 (from 150) and kept menopur the same. I go in tomorrow for us and bw. Tried searching the Internet to see what E2 of a normal stim timeline looked like and definitely wasn't comforted at all and just crossing my fingers I don't get cancelled or I get really bad OHSS and the eggs I grew are poor quality.

My estrogen was 1035 so that equates to about 5 mature follicles. I will need some luck but am hopeful for now.

Unfortunately for me my miracle baby did not come and AF is here with a vengeance, OMG the cramps are just killing me!! Went in for monitoring so we shall see if I will start stemming or not. Because i have low AMH I was curious to know my AFC today and she told me i had 4 on each side. It makes me nervous as we know not each one can give you an egg. At one point i had 14 and today its 8, is it possible more can pop up? Do I take another cycle off to see. ugh!! Such a gamble and you don't know what to do. Any input is welcomed thanks!!

AFM- tonight will be day 4 of stims. Tolerating them well. Maybe too well? E2 yesterday was 214 and today I had my US and he was going to pull back on the meds if my E2 is above 400 today. 15 follies on the L and 14 on the R. Eek!
I did bruise myself with menopur. Not sure how.
btw that foot spa was legit and they had a happy hour where the services were half off so I paid $40 for a 60 min massage. Pinch me I'm dreaming. DH is thrilled lol.

@hopefulmom I'm so sorry about AF. She's the worst under normal circumstances. I don't have any words of wisdom for you. I'm an IVF newbie and some of the ladies on here I feel like speak a different language because of all the knowledge and experience they have. I'm sure they will be able to give good advise and support
AFM, I had my transfer today. Because of my age they only transferred one blastocyst. I have 3 AA blasts. 2 are now frozen and my other 5 they are giving one more day to see how they grow and then decide if they will freeze those as well. When my RE told me 3 AAs i had to fight back tears. And then when they did the transfer and i saw the lil blast go in - TOTAL MELTDOWN. My husband thought I was in pain, but I was just so happy. After 7 years of waiting, this is the closest we've gotten to being pregnant.
I feel fine too. The nurse said I could be crampy but I don't feel any discomfort. Of course I worry if thats a bad thing and the blast fell out of me already. *sigh* this is going to be a lllooonnnngggg TWW! lol

Well Ladies, I could definitely use your prayers and positivity. I just got the call, we are triggering tonight for a 730am retrieval on Wed. At my u/s this morning I had a 20,17,15, 13, 10. They told me to prepare for only 0-3 eggs and asked if I still wanted to do the retreival. My estradial is at 1350, so hoping we can get at least 4 mature since I have heard that each mature is ~200. Assuming we get some embryos, we will likely be an automatic day 3 transfer on Saturday (which they require if we have 3 embryos or less). I'm so scared that this won't work... or may never work for us. I know it just takes one... and I won't give up... but I am feeling pretty down right now...

Hopeful_mom- That is a hard call. I started with 9 (2 on my bad side) and will be lucky to end up with 4-5. In the past, I have had AFC of 12, and in May i got 5-8 mature follies...so I really wonder why I am not getting more now either. I know the meds are so expensive, but I am not sure if there is really anything to do but try stimming and see how it goes?

i may have messed up the spreadsheet! When I went in I was still there and when I closed out I disappeared but there's "Addoc86" that had the info I put in. Sorry if I screwed it up!
IUI is done. It wasn't the TWW I was hoping for but a TWW regardless! Doctor said that the stimulation worked, I just recruited a really dominant follicle that sucked up all the meds and didn't give any other follies a chance. He said there were others in there but this one mega egg wanted all the glory. Husband's count was really good (he was so proud of himself).
We did not talk about what will happen if I get a BFN but said it won't be "one and done" shot and to call him in two weeks. Sorta hopeful.

I really did take the advice and went with my gut. I didn't do the full amount of meds since i didn't have as much at home as i thought BUT its only for 2 days so i'm sure its fine...i hope. @jamieh2000 thanks for the advice as well, through the stress you're feeling. Its just so wonky how each month everything varies, just wish there was more we could do to get more.

@hopeful_Mom- sending you so much positive thoughts. I understand exactly how you are feeling. I wish I had good advice on how to get through this.. but I have been a nervous wreck the whole time
I think the one thing that gives me hope is that I know multiple success stories with low numbers. For one, my coworker, had twins a year ago. It was her 3rd IVF, only had 4 follies, 3 mature eggs, 2 fertilized, and transferred on day 3. Both stuck and now she has twins.
@colleen0516- I can only imagine how that spotting triggers those feelings

AFM - literally nothing is happening here. Nothing. Nurse said genetics test at earliest would be Friday afternoon but more likely early next week. AF is due any day now. Which will likely mean I'll have to go on BC for 2 weeks. Nurse thinks I might get pushed out to early Dec.

@Colleen0516 thinking of you, fingers crossed your beta continues to rise. i'm sorry, i know the waiting is the hardest part.
afm had my ER this morning. it was pretty disappointing -- of my 6 follicles, i got three eggs. after the initial disappointment i am now just crossing fingers that ICSI gets those suckers fertilized overnight, or at least one or two of them. if that happens i won't be doing FET. I'll just be transferring on Sunday. i found out today my clinic doesn't do 3-day transfers -- just 5-day transfers. so, here's hoping i get to the ET.
i feel OK other than some cramping. i'm taking it easy.

AFM - my E2 yesterday was 432 (4th day of stims). They decreased my Follistim to 125 (from 150) and kept menopur the same. I go in tomorrow for us and bw. Tried searching the Internet to see what E2 of a normal stim timeline looked like and definitely wasn't comforted at all and just crossing my fingers I don't get cancelled or I get really bad OHSS and the eggs I grew are poor quality.
