@mrszoess nothing topical helps =( basically the doc said its not really my skin itching it's just a sensation I feel, so nothing but time and some meds and getting this baby out will help. Super frustrating.
@nlane0723 - Yay for gaining weight! Keep eating, little guys! Glad they're improving!
@sportiegrl1213@CopperBoom86 - talk to me about these granny panties. Apparently what I once thought were full coverage ones are not cutting it. Do you recommend a certain fit/brand? I don't want to buy a lot of new underwear, but my current situation is not working - they roll down in the front and I CANNOT take it anymore! I need something I can yank up over the bump.

I had obstetric cholestasis with my first. I think I remember mentioning it to you on another post. It's not very common, just try not to scratch. I did, and opened my skin up it left scars. I hope they get baby out soon though. The itch goes away right away it's the weirdest thing ever.

I'm really tired of seeing my doctor. And I'm a lucky girl who hasn't needed any NSTs or extra growth scans or anything. I'm just tired of going there, tired of seeing their faces and answering the same questions (yes he's been moving great, no nothing else to report...). I'm sure it'll be different once things start happening, but last week there wasn't even dilation to be excited about.
I've just been so grouchy lately. I feel awful about it, but I just don't feel like doing anything about it. I just want things to go nice and smooth at home and work and when they don't I just start to get overly angry at whoever it was that didn't let the thing go smoothly.
I'm really just over having responsibilities right now lol. I'm ready for baby to be on the outside and for my (almost) sole responsibility to be him (and DD). I'm ready to play SAHM for 3 months and just spend time with my babies, and DH.
Countdown to Baby H! Mommy to Elizabeth (6/18/09), preemie at 34 weeks
@LMNOBaby I wear the plus size Hanes microfiber briefs. I just got the biggest size I could find which i think are 13's.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
Soo my work apparently wants to throw me a baby shower. "Sometime after the 10th - it looks like on Wednesday the 12th you don't have anything before lunch." Nope, I don't. I mean, unless I have a baby, given that my due date is the 13th. I don't *really* believe I'll have her before her due date, but it's not like I can guarantee that or anything...
Of course this is the same work that, when my coworker had a baby in the Spring, took up a collection "to buy him a carseat" - after the baby was born, which means they already had to have their carseat.
Ooh, Hanes makes the micro-fiber kind @sportiegrl1213?? I love that material...hate the plain old cotton, which was the only think I had in my mind once I pictured granny panties. Thanks for the info - stopping at the store tonight!!
Caught up on the randoms! @CopperBoom86- glad your insurance issues are sorted! That's so stressful! As for me.. I'm just feeling like a sow and eating like one too. But I went and got a manicure today, so at least my nails look pretty. I need to clean the house and I'm just not feeling it, but the house neeeeeds it. Meanwhile I just needs a nap.
Uhhhh I just got nervous for how big this baby is going to be. Is it possible to tear straight through to your butt hole? If so, how do you fix that???? It seems like it would cause terrible problems for the rest of your life. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH why did I think about it. Why am I making you guys think about it?

At risk of sounding whiny/FWP, my aunt just had a shower for me 5 days before my due date. It was lovely, but I was only notified like a couple weeks before that it was happening. And of course no one asked for my registry info or what I might need. I got literally just clothes....in mostly nb. I have so many nb clothes that there is no way LO will wear half of them.
So I guess just focus on "the thought is nice!" Lol. Sometimes people organize these things more for their own sake than yours...it must fulfill some kind of "event-organizing" need some people have. I don't get it. But again, the thought is nice & good intentions are there.

This reminds me of a friend who wants to come over this weekend to "Help me make lasagna to freeze" then said "since you won't be able to come to my bday in a few weeks, maybe we can celebrate in advance and invite a few other girls over to help make frozen meals for you and the baby!" IN MY KITCHEN. SO I CAN CLEAN UP AFTER. AND ENTERTAIN. I'm half tempted to say "please just bring me pre-made lasagna I can freeze, because that's truly what would really help." I feel like a bitch even thinking it, but for reals?

Yes.. this is possible, but it's extremely rare to have a fourth degree tear! Most people, even ftms have first or second degree tears. When my oldest was born, we had no idea that he was huge (and I'm glad, because I probably would have stressed about it which would have made it all worse- he was 10lbs 6oz with a 14.75" head) and I had a third degree tear with gobs of stitches, but it healed nicely and I've not torn again anything near that with my other two babies (just a handful of stitches with number two and a "skidmark" with number three.. I'm hoping number 4 takes it easy on me too ) Wait to push until you're ready! Labor down as long as you need to. You'll be alright!!
@cbamama641 Oh my gosh, thank you so much for writing that. It makes me feel a lot better from someone who has recovered from a bad tear.
@annabenanna Hahaha mention that you don't mind Stouffers? You should start that thread because I am also curious. Hopefully no one in this group will be like, "I stripped my own membranes woo hoo!"
I had a severe ankle sprain last July and in the last week or so it's been super sore. I can't fully bend it and even attempting brings pain. I do not feel like I've had hardly any swelling at all though. Is this probably just a result of pregnancy weight gain? I haven't gained that much really.... Or do any BTDT moms with old injuries notice flare ups in third tri?
@kmolleltz, me me me!!!! I actually have been getting this pain on my right upper thigh/buttock area. It isn't an injury, per se.... but every time I walk, it's like I'm pinching a nerve and I have to stop and re-position before continuing to walk. Someone told me it might be "bursitis", but at this point I don't know. I'm chalking it up to just being super pregnant.
@NoraAurora and @RainMira9e It's totally reasonable to be annoyed by a baby shower so close to your due date. And especially when the organizer doesn't bother to get your registry info out there. If it's the thought that counts, then they should have thought about what you might actually need. @NoraAurora hopefully you can return some of those clothes and get some stuff you might actually use (even if that's just clothes in bigger sizes).
@kmolleltz similar to @annabenanna, my sciatica has been really bad this week. I have a slipped disk and have been really lucky with how little it has bothered me this pregnancy but it's so much worse lately. I don't know if it's the baby's position or the weight getting to me or what. It would totally make sense to me if your ankle is flaring up from the extra pressure, especially something like your ankle. My feet are starting to really ache by the end of the day and I don't have a foot injury. Between the added weight, the fact that it's been going on for 9 months now, and the way we have to carry ourselves differently, it's definitely not doing us any favors.
@kmolleltz I have a toe that I broke over a decade ago. Never has given me any problems until the last 6 weeks or so. By the time I get home at night, every time I step on that foot, it's like lightning shooting up that toe that was broken. While I've hardly swelled at all, there is still some extra water around my feet and ankles, combined with what the others said about having to carry ourselves differently and everything, I would say it's pregnancy "normal" to have old pains and injuries flare up. Normally I'd put in a caveat about if it gets worse to have it check out, but you're a smart lady so I know you would have it looked it if it was awful.
Countdown to Baby H! Mommy to Elizabeth (6/18/09), preemie at 34 weeks
@kmolleltz I've had some ankle pain lately too and my doctor said it probably has more to do with changes in how I'm walking than the actual weight gain. Apparently all the times I feel like I'm waddling are not just in my head lol.
I feel like I'm just to the "everything is uncomfortable always" stage. I stand and walk all day at work, which is uncomfortable. Then at home I sit on the couch and That gets uncomfortable. Sleep positions? Just lol. Not to mention the random organ kicks LO has taken to doing. I am getting very excited for due date.
I am already feeling extreme guilt for wanting to be done with work at 39 weeks. (Im currently 37+4). I originally said that I planned on working as close to te baby's arrival as possible. With the caveat that I'd revisit that decision depending on how I felt. Well everyone is seeming to forget that caveat.
At at a meeting today my boss is mentioning upcoming deadlines and how I may or may not be around, "but you never know, I went 2.5 weeks overdue." Yes I know you worked until you popped your baby out, but that doesn't mean that *i* want to do that. Also she keeps goving me short term deadlines which is making it hard for me tie up loose ends.
My replacement/overhire said she hopes I am a month overdue. I get it, she's new and my job is very overwhelming for new people especially this time of year. But I cannot continue working at this pace until I'm 42 weeks pregnant, and I actually want a few days, hell a few weeks, to rest before the baby comes. Although sometimes I just hope to go into labor so I don't have to deal with this utterly painful transition. (Deep breaths).
@chriscasey33, I feel your pain. My boss is still half hopeful I'll change my mind about my last day being Friday. He keeps saying "so your last day is really friday? but what if the baby isn't here yet next Monday?" My temp replacement also says "could you extend to next week?"
@annabenanna I better not hear that kind of stuff from my boss next week! I would be so ragey! My boss said she didn't expect me after October 1, so maybe she will be excited I decided to stay through the 7th?

@chriscasey33@annabenanna ugh screw those people!! You all are my heroes for working this long! I am utterly exhausted, I couldn't imagine trying to hold down a full time job right now. Don't let them make you feel guilty, you need to take care of yourself and have a right to that time off!
@ibabyloveb87, she should be grateful and happy you're there till the 7th! The concierge downstairs was like "i'm taking my pregnancy leave 4 weeks before i'm due. I'm allowed that time. Totally taking it, i'll just lose it otherwise." I was so jealous!
@LGW2015, if i wasn't training my replacement, i'd probably have asked to not come in anymore starting today. the last few days have been really so hard with the swelling and weight and just moving around. I can't even close my legs anymore while sitting. LOL.
@annabenanna Oh man I'd love to have taken off 4 weeks before I'm due but that would have cut into time with baby! Enjoy your last couple of days and don't let the haters hate
